Rezen Meta Tree Hotel (City Center & The Bund, Shanghai)
"The couple cons for me are the wall was not sound proven , no window as shown on detail and it was sigarette smell in the room maybe from the central AC system the worst was within the bath room. Overall for the location , free unlimited drinkins water provided , cleanness were on point ."
Meta Tree Hotel, People's Square, City Center In Shanghai
"1. Good Location ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 2. Clean ⭐️⭐️⭐️ (but sometimes smelling caused by smoking from another room) 3. Good service and prompt staff ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4. Good security ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5. Nice vibe of Lobby and clean ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Totally 8/10"
Shanghai Jinjiang Metropolo East Nanjing Road Hotel,Off Bund
"It is my second visit to Shanghai, and second stay at this small and beautiful hotel just in the heart of the city. Very clean textiles in my room. Very careful and exact cleaning. Absolutely all I needed for the comfortable living here: cosmetics, pot, cups, tea, loads of water, hair dryer. Breakfast is good but I haven't found enough food for people who can't eat fat and fried, just fruits and pork. But still the place is my favourite."
Shanghai Rezen Estelle Hotel(Nanjjng Road Walkway Bund Branch)
"Nice room, best location in Shanghai city. It’s taking 1 minute to Nangjing Road and 1 minute to the station. Highly recommend for vacation. 👍"
SAVHE Hotel North Bund Shanghai
"The service was excellent, and the staff were very polite and helpful. Is located at north bund and requires crossing a bridge to The bund, but overall the stay was comfortable and pleasant."
MaxX By Steigenberger on the Bund Shanghai
"First, the positives: the view was excellent, the bedding comfortable, and it offered good value for money. The service was also prompt in responding to issues. Now for the negatives: the hygiene was really poor. There was a visible, thick layer of dust on the floor, next to the bathtub, and on the cabinets. It felt like the room hadn't been cleaned in two weeks. Luckily, after I reported it, they immediately moved me to a new room, which was much cleaner. Secondly, the wallpaper on the TV wall had a long, unsightly wrinkle, which made it look a bit cheap. Also, the showerhead in the bathroom was fixed and couldn't be adjusted, making showering very uncomfortable. There's a clear difference compared to a Waldorf Astoria, but then again, the price reflects that. Overall, it was an average stay, neither outstanding nor terrible."
Holiday Inn Shanghai International Resort by IHG
"Extremely satisfied with our stay! First off, the hotel's location is perfectly situated between Disney and the Safari Park, making it super convenient and close for taxis. This was a huge plus for our family who often decides where to go on a whim! Of course, the hotel also offers shuttle bus services, and we saw many guests using them. Service: Our butler was Richard, and he kept in touch from our check-in day right through to our departure. His service was attentive, patient, and very enthusiastic – he definitely deserves a huge shout-out! Cleanliness: Spotless! Families with kids can rest assured. Features: The kids' activity center was also very clean. For dinner, they have a beef hotpot buffet, so if you don't feel like going out, you can definitely fill up right at the hotel."
JOYA Hotel Shanghai Lujiazui
"They upgraded us to a family room. The window-side table was just moved to where the TV is, and some chairs were removed. So, the space hasn't actually changed at all. Also, I have to say, that recliner must have saved the owner's life, considering its condition, and they still haven't thought about replacing it."
Ocean Hotel Shanghai
"The location is very close to Raffles city and few walking to the north bund river view. It’s beautiful and more quiet. Room is big enough for the 3 of us, it is clean and the hotel has good varieties of food every morning. Staff are friendly."
Shanghai Garden Rezen Hotel
"Fantastic, family-friendly hotel with exceptional amenities and service! We had a highly pleasant and happy stay at the Shanghai Rezen Garden Hotel from May 31st to June 3rd. It is an incredibly convenient and family-friendly place to stay, especially for foreign travelers. The Room: Our room was very large, spotlessly clean, and featured convenient automatic curtains and toilets. It also included a comfortable sofa bed, which easily accommodated our family. The hotel thoughtfully provided kid-sized slippers and toothbrushes, which was a lovely touch. The main bed was quite spacious, though the mattress comfort level could be slightly improved. Additionally, the shower head spray was a bit too strong for young children, so a softer pressure option would be a great upgrade. The Food: The breakfast buffet offers a wonderful spread of both traditional Chinese and international options. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the menu, and a huge plus for families is that breakfast is free for children under 1.3 meters! I personally highly recommend the cream puffs and fresh soy milk—they were absolutely delicious. The Amenities (A Huge Plus!): The amenities here are superb! Having a supermarket right inside the hotel was a major highlight for us as foreigners; it quickly became our go-to spot for daily breads, drinks, and snacks. On top of that, there is a great souvenir shop on Level 1 that sells Disney merchandise (perfect if you want to grab a Disney hat or last-minute gifts) and they even provide stroller rentals, which is incredibly convenient. The hotel also features an indoor playground with unlimited access for the kids. This gave us a much-needed breather to relax in the lobby and organize our daily itinerary while the children were happily entertained. Furthermore, the lobby hosts a helpful tour agent and coordinates multi-destination shuttles that make us want to return on our next trip to Shanghai. To top it off, the 24-hour Chinese restaurant serves delicious food delivered right to your room by a robot, which the kids absolutely loved. The Service: Truly awesome. The coordination for the airport, Disney, and zoo shuttles was seamless. The cleaning auntie was incredibly kind and proactively provided extra bottled water for our family. A special shout-out to the front desk team: I forgot my vitamins, and they went above and beyond by helping me purchase them via ******* and delivering them to my room-door in less than 45mins. I appreciated this so much! Overall, we had a fantastic experience and highly recommend this hotel to families visiting Shanghai!"
Chuxin Moshe Hotel (Shanghai International Tourism Resort)
"A very good hotel, service was excellent, efficient and attentive. Staff is helpful in determining some local specific related questions. They are also very flexible & understanding when I need to modify booking due to some last minute weather related itinerary change. Hotel also provides shuttle to the disneyland and pudong airport. There are also a snack shop, a supermarket and many restaurants around. Will definitely come back, thank you!"
Radisson Collection Hotel,Xing Guo Shanghai
"Hidden gem in the bustling heart of Shanghai, Xinguo Hotel is a discreet yet luxurious garden oasis. Its historic villas and lush courtyards make every moment feel like a scene from a classic film. The service is meticulous, breakfast offers a rich variety, and the Western kitchen's à la carte options are absolutely delicious. My stay was an experience beyond expectations! The travel photography here is exceptional, with stunning results. We captured timeless moments amidst the century-old architecture and verdant greenery. The photographer skillfully captured the ambiance, resulting in every shot being gentle and sophisticated. It’s truly the best choice for travel photography in Shanghai!"
Shanghai Lujiazui Riverside Center IntercityHotel
Experience a modern stay in Shanghai’s Lujiazui Riverside area, featuring comfortable, well-designed rooms with stunning views of the city and the river. With practical amenities and convenient access to the financial district, The Bund, and nearby shopping and business hubs, this hotel is the perfect choice for your next business trip or leisure getaway.
Wassim R Hotel
"The hotel has a great atmosphere and the facilities are excellent. It's very quiet, and the front desk staff, especially one lady, was incredibly welcoming. She even helped us get an upgraded room! The surrounding area is very convenient for dining and shopping, and transportation is easily accessible."
Hyakumangoku Onsen Hotel (Bicester Village Shanghai)
"The experience was great! The staff were very welcoming and the hotel is super close to Disneyland, with a shuttle bus service available. After a long day, it was so relaxing to come back and enjoy the hot spring, then grab a meal at Bicester. Absolutely fantastic!"
New Century Grand Hotel Shanghai Songjiang
"Although it's an older hotel, you can still see its five-star pedigree. Considering the room size, facilities, and location, it offers excellent value for money. If you're looking for something brand new, spacious, and in a prime location, you'd likely be paying a much higher price. The staff are all very warm, friendly, and thoughtful, which is a definite bonus. A special mention goes to the breakfast buffet's coffee – they offer Illy (the 'little red hat' brand), and you can get an espresso shot to make your own latte or Americano, which I really loved ❤️"

Where to Stay in Shanghai
Shanghai moves fast but still gives you moments to slow down. In the morning, locals line up at small shops for soy milk, fried dough, and steamed buns while office workers walk briskly toward metro stations. Streets near the river feel calm early on, with joggers, delivery bikes, and cafés opening their doors one by one. In older lanes, you see laundry hanging outside, neighbors chatting, and small eateries preparing noodles for lunch. As the day goes on, the city gets busier. Cars fill the roads, shops along Nanjing Road welcome shoppers, and people move between meetings, meals, and errands. By late afternoon, the light softens along the Bund, couples take photos, and friends meet for coffee or tea. At night, the skyline lights up, restaurants stay open late, and the sound of conversations mixes with traffic and music. Staying in Shanghai feels lively but manageable, with everyday scenes that make the city feel real and easy to enjoy.
