Toy Story Hotel

Booked this hotel through Trip.com, and it was the Toy Story Hotel at Disneyland. The location is excellent, with very convenient transportation; there's a continuous shuttle bus to the park. The hotel faces the sea, and the lobby has a strong artistic and luxurious style, really emphasizing a 'family-friendly' vibe, making you feel like you're already in the park. The hotel offers a wealth of free family and children's facilities, including a fun family space. The room layout is well-designed and cozy, immersing you in a technological fantasy world. They provided various complimentary drinks and slippers, which made my child incredibly happy – they didn't want to leave the room! The bed was very comfortable, and the bedding and linens were pristine, giving a sense of peace of mind. The front desk staff were highly professional and exceptionally service-oriented, attentive and caring like family. It was my birthday month, and they even gave me a small gift, which I deeply appreciated! Every other staff member greeted us warmly. The entire hotel staff, from top to bottom, were incredibly enthusiastic, meticulous, and thoughtful, making us feel at home and very warm. It provided the absolute best stay experience. The entire hotel was exceptionally clean, with no hidden corners, and the bathroom was super clean with excellent water pressure for a very comfortable shower. Check-out was simple and quick, with no need to wait for room inspection. WiFi coverage was seamless throughout the hotel. Breakfast was incredibly rich with delicious food, making it a top choice for a family vacation with kids. I'll definitely stay here again next time and highly recommend it to friends.

From check-in to checkout, the entire experience was clearly explained, and overall, this hotel offers decent value for money, especially for families with kids. However, the breakfast definitely needs improvement. For a price of over 200 per person, the Chinese food options were a bit bland and heavy on the coloring. Hopefully, they can make some changes in the future. The shuttle service to the park was excellent. For a trip to Shanghai to experience Disney, the Toy Story Hotel is generally okay. I really hope they can offer a wider variety for breakfast, and also for their fast food and simple meal options, as the current selection is quite limited. My family, including my parents and children, were quite satisfied. The hotel's complimentary souvenirs were adorable – a Toy Story-themed towel, luggage tag, slippers, and pillowcase.

Staying at the Toy Story Hotel was absolutely worth it! The themed atmosphere was immersive from start to finish. There were little movie Easter eggs everywhere, and the room was clean and comfortable. Even the toiletries had a themed design. The free shuttle bus to and from the park was super convenient, and the best part was getting an hour early entry, which saved us from so many long queues. The staff were very gentle and kind, and the character interactions were incredibly heartwarming. We could always go back to the room to rest when we were tired. Bringing kids to Disney and staying here made the trip so much easier and more enjoyable.

Disney's service is always so thoughtful and attentive. It feels like all the staff have a mission to bring joy to everyone. Room service can be ordered right from the app, and they even folded a towel pigeon for the child. The kids' club also has many activities, like free fridge magnet making. The experience was excellent! 👍

The room isn't huge and the decor is a bit dated. However, the bedding was super comfortable, and the hygiene was good. There were staff everywhere, so the service was excellent and really made us feel valued. The early park access was fantastic, and the shuttle bus was convenient. We were able to go back to the hotel to rest for a bit when we got tired before checking out. They even helped us send our luggage directly to the park exit. Highly recommend!

How should I put it? If this hotel wasn't located at Disney, the room would be considered pitifully small, probably on par with a 3-star hotel. The so-called Buzz Lightyear service, where he talks, is so quiet you can barely hear it; you have to lean in just to make out what he's saying. The decor and furnishings are also pretty average. It was clean and tidy, which is a plus, so it barely passes. As for the early park entry benefit, I'd advise against taking the hotel's free shuttle. It doesn't depart until 7:05 AM, and by the time you get to the Disney entrance, it's already packed with people. This pretty much negates the whole point of early entry; you might as well sleep in and go later.

The room was very clean. We could easily request missing items directly through the mini-program. The hotel offers a direct shuttle to the park, and the staff were all very welcoming. The buffet breakfast was also excellent. For checkout, we just left directly, and we were able to keep the room key card as a souvenir for the kids.

As an official Disney hotel, the price is exorbitant and far from five-star standards. Due to its location and parents' sentiments, most stays are short, two or three days, so no one really scrutinizes it too much. Perhaps it's precisely this understanding of Chinese parents' love for their children that gives it such a market! The hotel doesn't allow outside food delivery, and there's only one restaurant inside. It's either buffet or à la carte, with only a few à la carte options, each averaging around 100 [currency unit, likely RMB]. The problem is the taste is quite mediocre. So, aside from the five-star price, nothing else measures up. Honestly, it's better to stay at a well-rated B&B nearby, buy an early bird ticket, take a taxi, and eat dinner out. You could have a really luxurious two days without wasting money on the overpriced hotel. It's not value for money. If it truly offered five-star service, I would recommend it, especially since most guests have children and might feel a sense of legitimacy. However, both the hardware and software fall short of five-star standards. In conclusion, it seems Chinese parents' money is easily earned.
