"There was a strong smell from the hallway. And we can smell it all all way in the room, they moved us on a different floor but we can still smell it although is not as strong as the first room. It smells like paint or almost like gasoline but according to them they are not sure what or where is the smell coming from isn’t it that weird? The lady apologized when we checked out but that is not the point. If that chemical caused a major health problem, can a sincere or 100 x sorry fix or cure it? Safety first is very important, having visible safety measures and following protocols can reduce legal and financial risks because neglecting customer safety can lead to massive compensation payouts and to also protect your reputation. Our first night Eugene was very helpful to bring our grab food to our room but the next day when we ask front desk if they can bring  the food we order from outside, someone from the front desk said that we need to need to get it ourselves😁. But when we mentioned that Eugene was able to help us the other day and had no problem with it that is when he asked someone to bring the food. I am not sure if they are not allowed to do that and we got Eugene in trouble. But that is how you stand out among  other businesses, is you do things above and beyond and you create a memorable and positive experience. The place is clean and spacious the location is great. The hotel buffet breakfast, I think they can do better."

"The location is a BIG Plus that motivated us to stay there. However, what made it even better was the quality of staff service. It starts when you check-in with the Front Desk, then the bellhop who brought our bags to the room. Thereafter, the next morning it's the cleaning room service staff and the Catalogue's serving staff who bring you the breakfast (just the way you like it!) & the coffee. All of them : always with a smile. These people all wear Hospitality on their shirt sleeves. Definitely returning here for next stay"

Home me Hotel - Makati ★★★
"We stayed at this hotel before and returned again. It's the best in its price range and much more comfortable (unfortunately, I have nothing to compare it to). However, I would like the rooms to be a little more clean. This time, I found stains and hair on my bed, so I immediately asked the staff to change the sheets – they did it quickly, for which we are very grateful."

"We love staying here! Pros: breakfast was good and different choices of cuisine. I love the Onsen and room super clean. Cons: the pool is too cold and the bath soap and shampoo is too little. Only one shower in the pool area. But overall we enjoy our stay!"

The Peninsula Manila ★★★★★
"Classic filipino hospitality at its best 👌 they were very warm and attentive from the moment we entered the lobby up to when they led us to our room, which looked exactly as how it was on the listing. We booked a grand deluxe room, it was spacious. Wish we were appointed a higher floor room as in the morning, we can hear the traffic outside. Premium bath amenities were a nice touch too. Smooth linens. Good mini bar selection."

Tips for Booking Makati Hotels

Book Early for Peak Travel Months

Plan ahead if you’re visiting during Christmas, New Year, Holy Week (March–April), or major Philippine holidays. Makati’s top hotels—especially near Greenbelt, Ayala Avenue, and Poblacion—can fill up fast, and prices tend to surge.

Watch Out for Major Events

Makati hosts corporate conferences, expos, and international concerts at nearby venues like RCBC Plaza, Ayala Malls Circuit, and SMX Aura. Expect hotel rates to rise during business summits, long weekends, or major K-pop and sports events in the metro.

Save More with Trip.com Perks

New users can score up to 8% off select Makati hotel bookings on Trip.com. A handy way to offset the 12% VAT and service charge added to most stays—or upgrade to a suite with breakfast included.

Stay Smart with Location Choices

If you're on a tighter budget, skip the pricier Greenbelt area and look into hotels in Legazpi Village, Salcedo Village, or even the edge of Poblacion. These spots offer solid access to business hubs, restaurants, and nightlife—without the five-star price tag.
