Seaview Hotels in Shanghai

I tried to check in at 2pm, was informed that the room was not ready for at least 1 more hour. Asked the receptionist for a restaurant, and instead of pointing out the ones from the hotel, she sent me to Yu Gardens... Come back after an hour and was informed that I need to wait for another 30 min at least. I was given a voucher for a soft drink, and I headed to the lounge to get this drink, I showed the voucher to lady and she said for me to have a cold tea that I agreed. At 3:35 stand up to get my key and the waitress ask me to pay for the tea, I pointed out that I got a voucher and she said that voucher was not good for cold tea and I need to pay aroung 230RMB for a tea I didn't want at the beginning, I was there just for the absurd waiting time for the room to be ready! I asked the manager, and they said no need and they would take care... Arrived in room 1771, a well-appointed room, tried to make a coffee, and the machine was not working... I called the concierge and informed about the machine, after 5 min a lady call me to offer me a bottle.of wine, that I declined as I don't drink offer fruit and at the end an upgrade to the room, I went to the toilet and left the room at 16:00 as I had a meeting. I arrived at the meeting with sweaty clothes and without taking a shower as I got the room over 90 minutes later... I received the key of the new room before I left, when I come back I tried to use the key but was not active, i headed back to reception to check what happened and they activated but didn't apologise for the mistake. The new room had a view of the Bund, so there was no upgrade of the room itseld was just an upgrade of the view... The hotel is nice, has good amenities, and breakfast is solid, fresh, but not as much choice as compared to Shangri-la Pudong. The pool changing room and showers need better cleaning and mantenience. The people at the reception and at the lounge need better training and level up their English to a better standard, hotel is 5 star, experience is far from it.

We quite frequently stay at this hotel. The location is beautiful, Shishan park and botanical garden in walking (or cycling) distance. Delicious breakfast buffet. One wish is left open, namely that the construction in the park finds an end, so one can enjoy an undisturbed walk around the garden, without being stopped by green fences, blocking the way because of construction area (that never seemed to change much over the last two years anyway....)

We had a great experience staying at Ship hotel for a long weekend. The kids were so delighted with the boat and nautical theme of the hotel, a big playground, and a nice clean pool. The service was kind and thoughtful, decorating our room and giving us a cake for my daughter’s birthday and providing kids’ amenities. The staff are friendly. It’s a paradise for kids. The cost was not high, but our kids preferred this hotel to many others. The room is a little old but still in good condition and also has nice touches like a ships’ window, ocean shore carpet, and we had a very nice view. Room was clean and bed was comfortable and there was a pillow menu. Good water pressure in the bathroom and nice bathtub. The hotel is also next door to a ecological park which has boat rides, and about a 10 minute drive to paopao park which is a huge, beautiful recreational area with lakes, lots of grass for picnics, bike paths, gardens and a kids play area. We could’ve easily spent 2-3 days just in paopao park alone. We arrived on Friday night and Saturday morning was quiet at breakfast with few people.

The room is clean and tidy. The owner is warm and helpful. It is especially convenient to go to Disneyland. The owner personally picks me up and takes only ten minutes (including walking). I didn't book his B&B on the first day and walked a lot of detours. I booked this B&B on the second day. The owner of this B&B picked me up in the evening and arrived very quickly. It was also fast and convenient to send me to Disneyland in the morning. When I left, the owner also sent me to the nearest subway station. It was very considerate.

Nice gateway far from Shanghai’s city life. Warm service, calm environment and clean bedroom and bathroom. There are no shops and restaurants nearby, but you can have diner there directly, the ayis cooking is pretty good! I recommend their garlic eggplant dish, they make it to chongming’s flavor! Their breakfast is pretty filling, I recommend to try their local specialty, chongming cake, it’s sweet and yummy!

This stay at the seaside homestay was really great! From the beginning of the reservation, the owner of the homestay prepared for us in advance and contacted us in advance. The location of the homestay is excellent, close to the sea, and I got up at 5:30 in the morning to see the beautiful sunrise. I feel that the whole person has been cured by nature. The facilities in the room are also very complete, the beds are comfortable, and the sanitary conditions are first-class, making people live very at ease. Especially worth mentioning, we also provided us with a rich breakfast, everything is very delicate and delicious, with local characteristics of the pancakes and wontons to feel the warmth of home. And they were very enthusiastic about introducing us to the surrounding tourist attractions and food, making our trip more colorful.

The B&B is very big and clean. It should be the best B&B within a radius of ten miles. This B&B is very good. The room is warm and comfortable, the layout is particularly cozy, the bedding is soft and clean, the scenery outside is beautiful, the air is fresh, there is a large lawn, a paddling pool, rabbits, and swings. People like this B&B at first sight. The service of this B&B is particularly good, especially Ah Hao, Xiao Wang, and Maomao, who can provide us with the help we need in time. I will come again if I have the chance in the future!!!

My friend has lived in this homestay before and thinks it is not bad. This time I recommend us to come and experience it. The location is convenient. After driving to the island, I will drive south for a while, close to the Yangtze River. The weather is cool, I choose to come out on weekdays and there are not many people. The small courtyard of the homestay is well repaired, planted a lot of flowers, raised a few cute cats, and a quiet and slow life. The tatami bed we lived in was very large, the latex mattress was very soft, the flower bedding was clean and soft, and the hygiene was good. You can also barbecue and cook independently in the homestay.
