"The hotel is very clean, and the room has a modern, cozy design. The lobby is stunning — especially the glass-roof area where you can enjoy beautiful natural light. All staff were helpful; when I couldn’t figure out how to turn on the air conditioner, someone came to assist me right away. Special thanks to Lin Feng at the check-out counter for being so friendly and providing great recommendations."

"From the room and the furnitures, you can tell that it is an old hotel. The lobby is grand but the room is not as great in comparison. Room was not well lit when curtain is closed and all the lights are on. However, hotel is situated at an extremely great location; right outside of the hotel is Nanjing Pedestrian Street. The Bund is walking distance. Nearby the hotel has many great and famous restaurants. If you don’t mind that the room is a bit run down (but relatively clean), I think this hotel is a great place to stay."

"The hotel is in a great central location, right on Nanjing Road, near East Nanjing Railway Station. Breakfast is varied, but if you stay for several days in a row, the food is the same every day. You'll get bored after eating for several days. The room amenities are too little shower gel. Overall, I still like this place. This is my second time staying here, and I think I'll stay again, but I won't skip the breakfast."

"Requested for room with window but the window is quite useless😅 the room quite spacious The location I would say it was not near MRT but near mall which it was not bad so all the trip mostly we called didi The staff was not be able to speak english at all but they all quite helpful. I was at 6 floor the ceiling and bed was really close I can touch the ceiling and every morning next to my window will have renovation around 7-8 am and it was loud. Overall was okay.The lady helped us clean the room everyday but only won’t change the bedsheet for the 4 nights stay. But anyway thanks to her she was a nice lady"

"Overall, it was a pleasant experience traveling with young children. Although the location was a bit tricky to find at first due to unfamiliarity with the map navigation, we realized after a few days that it was actually very close to People’s Square. The room we booked was smaller than what was shown in the pictures, had difficulty to open 2 big (26”) suitcase but it didn’t affect the quality of our sleep, so it wasn’t a major issue. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful with handling our parcel deliveries and even offered to call delivery runner to track the parcel location, and a big thumbs up for the convenience of having a robot deliver our food orders — such a cool and efficient touch! Also, the self-service laundry was really efficient — we could easily check which machines were in use through the WeChat app or on the TV."

"Warm welcome at reception when we checked in. The lobby was bright and welcoming. Location very convenient for both tourist spots and metro. Most of the tourist spots like the Bund and Yu Yuan are within walking distance. The rooms were very clean and amenities good. The housekeeper replaces the bottles of water everyday, which was great. My only comment is that there was no kettle to boil water for tea. Not everyone in the world drinks coffee! The bar in the lobby was a great place to relax, however the two service staff there when we went to have some drinks and snacks were rather unfriendly and looked like they didn't want to be there. There was no greeting, no initiative to offer menus for drinks and food. We had to ask for these and then were told we would be better off going to the restaurant if we wanted to eat. Despite that our stay was fabulous and we would go back there again but not to the bar."

"Youli Hotel (People’s Square), Shanghai is a clean and modern 3-star hotel in the heart of Shanghai. It’s just 350 meters from People’s Square metro station and 700 meters from Nanjing Road, making it ideal for sightseeing and shopping. Rooms are comfortable, with Wi-Fi, air conditioning, private bathrooms, and daily housekeeping. Some rooms offer large windows with city views. The staff is friendly and speaks English, with helpful services like laundry, luggage storage, and taxi booking. Guests appreciate the attention to detail, such as small surprises for special occasions. With high reviews and a convenient location, it’s excellent value for travelers."

"Facilities: They have a washing machine with a dryer, which I didn't get to try as I arrived quite late this time. The TV offers live broadcasts with 30 channels, including major networks, which was sufficient. All necessary shower amenities are provided, along with both disposable and bathroom slippers. The showerhead even features multiple spray settings. The WiFi speed wasn't great, which might be related to the high occupancy – I noticed a lot of international guests during my stay. Service: They offer a parcel receiving service, but it seems they handle a lot of deliveries, so it's best to know what your package looks like to help them find it faster. The breakfast provided for airport transfers was sufficient to fill up on, with options like fresh eggs that you can fry yourself, freshly ground coffee, congee, siu mai, and fresh fruit. Cleanliness: Cleanliness was satisfactory. Environment: The area downstairs is packed with small restaurants, so you'll never go hungry, no matter the hour. Pudong Airport Shuttle Service: They offer a scheduled minibus shuttle to Pudong Airport; during regular hours, just contact them in advance, and it generally runs once an hour. The airport drop-off is a shared coach service with other hotels. It departs each hotel at XX:40 and arrives at the terminal on the hour. Make sure to manage your time accordingly. It drops off at Terminal 1 first, then Terminal 2. Disneyland Shuttle: I didn't get to try the Disneyland shuttle this time. My original plan was to arrive by 3 PM and use the free shuttle to scout the area a day beforehand, but my travel schedule was delayed. Maybe next time if the opportunity arises."

"The hotel boasts an excellent location, situated directly on Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. The M&M's store and LEGO store are just a short walk downstairs. While the location is superb, the rooms are on the smaller side, and the overall amenities are quite disappointing. Many facilities appear not to have been updated, likely due to its central location, and feel very old and outdated. The reception area is tiny, and to reach your room, you'll need to carry your luggage up to the second floor to access an elevator. Therefore, this hotel is not recommended for families traveling with seniors or young children. It's better suited for younger travelers."
