"The room with its high ceilings and partitioned wash/shower area was spacious and the config was perfect for our family of 2 adults and 2 kids. The Jurlique toiletries were also a treat! The kids also particularly enjoyed the voice automated control system that controls the lights, curtains, music etc. Location is great too, just opposite the People's Park, where we took the chance to pop over the observe the Marriage Market on Sunday. We discovered belatedly on our last day that there's actually an underpass shortcut to Nanjing Rd East via the New World Shopping Mall next door, that would have shaved off at least 10 mins of walking / road crossing. The most disappointing part of the hotel has to be the breakfast. Firstly the tiny breakfast area seemed like a makeshift spot, or an afterthought. Not sure what was the design thinking behind it. Typically with an a la carte menu, you would expect the food to be of a certain quality but it was from it. The food was mediocre, pancakes came burnt, cereals were stale, the onsen egg with salmon was bizarre (not sure if it was supposed to be an egg benedict?), service was spotty. Until they improve their breakfast service, would strongly suggest just booking the room only. The dining experience is such a big disconnect"

"Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay. The hotel’s location is excellent, and most of the staff were warm, helpful, and hospitable. We checked in on 31 May during what appeared to be a peak period. There was one young lady and two young gentlemen at the reception. We understand that busy check-in periods can be challenging, but the young lady who assisted us came across as rather unfriendly. We also noticed some inconsistency in guest service during check-in—some guests were offered welcome drinks, others received bottled water, while we were not offered either. This was not a major issue for us, but consistency in service would help ensure all guests have a similar experience. On a positive note, the tall young gentleman who helped us locate our packages was exceptionally kind, polite, patient, and professional. His assistance was greatly appreciated and left a very positive impression. During check-out on 2 June, there was a minor incident involving a gift box we were carrying. The staff member handling our luggage accidentally knocked the box against the edge of the reception counter, resulting in a small chip to the box. She apologised and kindly offered two small gifts as compensation, which we declined as the box was intended as a gift for someone else. We appreciated the apology, but it would be beneficial for staff to exercise greater care when handling guests’ belongings. This review is not intended as a complaint but as constructive feedback. With a little more consistency in service standards and attentiveness, the guest experience could be even better. Thank you for an otherwise pleasant stay, and we look forward to returning in the future."

"The room exceeded my expectations. I spent a long time searching for a hotel around the pedestrian street. The room was very clean, and although the bathroom wasn't huge, it was tidy and well-maintained, and the hot water was excellent. The hotel's location is great; it's about a 7-minute walk to Huangxing Road and about 20 minutes to the Bund. The hotel is easy to find, and there's a bus stop right outside. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay."

"Before booking this hotel, I looked at many others priced from ¥200 to ¥600, but after reading all the negative reviews, I couldn't bring myself to book any of them. I even thought it might be better to just sleep at Shanghai Airport! Then, by chance, I stumbled upon this hotel. After looking into it, I felt it seemed pretty good in all aspects, at least worth trying for a night – definitely better than the misery of actually sleeping at the airport, especially after a tiring international transfer! To my surprise, it was much better than I expected. The hotel is quite new and very clean, unlike some of the older hotels I'd seen where the ceilings looked like they were about to fall down! For food, if you turn right downstairs, there's a whole street full of eateries and drinks, and best of all, there's a 24-hour FamilyMart and KFC, which is incredibly convenient! The front desk staff were all young women, but they proactively reminded me to book my airport transfer for the next day. Their service awareness and attitude were very satisfying! There were also small snacks, tea, and coffee at the front desk, which was a thoughtful touch! Everything written above is my genuine experience and honest review, mainly hoping that people won't accidentally pick the wrong hotel during a transfer and spoil their mood for the next day of their journey!"

"The hotel service was absolutely wonderful! We had a lot of luggage and two kids with us, and they were incredibly thoughtful, helping us with everything. Deliveries and mail were also brought right to our room. The hotel lobby and restaurant are on the 7th floor; it's a compact space but has everything you need, with clean and elegant decor. The coffee machine available all day was a huge convenience. The two-bedroom suite was perfect for families with children – our two kids ate and slept so well. And the location? It's simply unbeatable. Highly, highly recommend!"

"I arrived very late for my check-in, and I have to give a special shout-out to Manager Zong at the front desk! She was incredibly efficient even late at night, handling everything with a gentle and polite demeanor. Her service was truly professional, making me feel completely at ease despite the late hour. Overall, it was a perfect experience, definitely deserving of a five-star rating!"

"The hotel offers a very pleasant stay with friendly and helpful staff. The room was clean and well maintained, and we appreciated the complimentary upgrade offered with a small additional fee, which turned out to be good value, especially after requesting extra breakfast for a child. The location is excellent. It sits right above Mosaic Mall and is very close to Nanjing Road, with the metro station about a 5-minute walk away. It’s also within walking distance of The Bund (around 10 minutes) which makes it ideal for an evening stroll to enjoy the city lights and river views in Shanghai. One thing to note is that the shortest walking route from the metro to the hotel involves quite a lot of stairs, which may be inconvenient for wheelchair users, strollers, or heavy luggage. Choosing an alternate route or exit may be easier if you have mobility or baggage concerns. Overall, it’s a convenient and comfortable stay with great access to shopping, transport, and major attractions."
