Our stay at this hotel was fantastic! Check-in was super quick, and when we checked out, they helped us with our luggage, gave us complimentary bottled water, and even dropped us off at the subway station. This service is available from 8 AM to 5 PM, which is incredibly convenient. The hotel offers great value for money, and the room facilities are excellent and well-equipped. They even have a self-service laundry room, which was a huge plus!

TainingbaidewenTraveling to Shanghai, I chose this Manxin Hotel. My friend booked first, and I booked later. We arrived to find the overall experience exceeded our expectations. The lobby design was incredibly atmospheric, the rooms were clean and tidy, and the smart facilities were complete, making for a very comfortable sleep. The staff were warm and polite, and the freshly prepared breakfast featured old Shanghai specialties. There was also a complimentary afternoon tea to enjoy. The surrounding area was convenient for sightseeing and shopping, full of thoughtful details, and offered great value for money. I highly recommend it to friends visiting Shanghai.

Guest UserThis is my go-to hotel every time I travel. The service is excellent, and it's very clean. It's also suitable for families with children, and the price is quite reasonable. The best part is the airport shuttle service. Highly recommend booking here!

Guest UserI got lucky this time! I thought the typhoon would ruin my plans, but it turned out to be a sunny day with fewer crowds. Upon check-in, I was upgraded to a lake view room. The balcony directly faces a small beach and Sheshan, offering a fantastic view.
1. Location and Environment:
I discovered the hotel's excellent location upon arrival. It's surrounded by various attractions like Happy Valley, Yuehu Sculpture Park, Maya Water Park, and Sheshan. The expansive lawn offers open views, and strolling along the tree-lined paths is very pleasant. The most delightful surprise was seeing squirrels scurrying up trees – it was more uplifting than many artificial landscapes.
2. Kids' Facilities: Options for every budget
Indoor: The signature 'Squirrel Kingdom' playground is about 700㎡, and guests usually get free admission. It's perfect for younger children to burn off energy. It's plenty of fun for little ones.
Outdoor Pool: Well-zoned. Besides the adult pool, there's a dedicated shallow children's pool and a play pool with slides. Inner tubes and small inflatable boats can be rented on-site. When we visited, there weren't many people by the pool, which made for a great experience. The kids had an absolute blast. There are also simple slides, swings, and a sandpit outdoors. My child spent half an hour just digging in the sand.
3. Special Courses: Rock climbing, sailing, and zip-lining are all available. After inquiring, the prices are reasonable for a hotel of this caliber. We didn't have time to try many of them, so we'll have to come back next time.
Petting Zoo: 76 RMB for one adult and one child. I personally felt it wasn't great value for money. It's not very big, and the pigeons were quite aggressive, so my little one was scared to feed them.
4. Dining:
Breakfast: The variety and quality were substantial. Hot soup, rice noodles, small wontons, and fermented glutinous rice balls were all available. I highly recommend the freshly griddled egg pancakes – soft, not greasy, and loved by the whole family. Overall, it was decent and had everything you'd expect.
5. Service and Room:
The basic room is quite spacious (50㎡+) with a balcony and a bathtub. It comes with children's slippers and bathrobes, and a crib can be requested. The service was warm and very welcoming. Although the hotel is next to Sheshan, they repeatedly warned us about mosquitoes and provided mosquito repellent. However, after a day of playing, I didn't encounter many mosquitoes. I'm usually a mosquito magnet, but I didn't get a single bite. Just bring your own basic mosquito repellent.
This hotel is perfect for 'micro-vacations' for families with children in Shanghai and its surrounding areas. Traveling during off-peak times is key, as the experience is better with fewer people. The petting zoo can be skipped to save money for zip-lining or sailing. Remember to bring your own sand tools, swimming cap, inner tube, and mosquito repellent.

Guest UserOur stay was incredibly comfortable. The room was clean and tidy with a great view. Our butlers, Deslin and Lily, provided attentive and thoughtful service, proactively following up on all our needs and responding quickly. Any issues we had were promptly and properly resolved. Their considerate care was just right, and the cleaning was very timely, with towels replaced swiftly. This made the whole trip feel very pleasant and is highly recommended. It's also worth mentioning that the cleaning staff on our floor on the morning of our departure were very friendly, once again highlighting the hotel's meticulous service. I hope the hotel can pay attention to the showerhead and sink faucet in the room, as the water pressure is too strong and often splashes out, getting clothes wet.
The room offers a different Banyan Tree themed incense or essential oil (optional) daily.

Andx517Located at Pudong East side which is slightly outskirt of Shanghai town but good for Disneyland/Shanghai Zoo stay. Provided the shuttle bus for the airport and Disneyland transfer. The two lady staff at night arrival were kind and polite, full of sincere greetings during arrival but the morning check in staff doesn't seem friendly compared to the night shift. The room was spacious and comfortable, comes with an intelligent toilet bowl and XiaoDu home control. and also a washing machine inside. Complimentary simple snacks and soft drinks in the fridge. Breakfast more to local Chinese cuisine well enough and acceptable but expected better for Hyatt standard. This Hotel comes with a beautiful garden beside river which is good for photography and hanging around with children, had small children's playground at the garden as well. Overall we had a great experience for our stay , but there's room for improvement on the Breakfast side and also the services from the morning shift receptionist.

Guest UserI stayed at this hotel many years ago when there weren't many good hotels in Shanghai, and it left a deep impression. Later, every time I traveled to Shanghai for business, I stayed at other newer hotels. This time, I chose this hotel with my kids because I wanted them to see Shanghai's skyline. Overall, I was quite satisfied, especially since I booked late and couldn't get a family room, so I ended up booking two different room types for the two nights. However, the front desk helped us change both nights to family rooms, which I'm very grateful for. I feel like this hotel offers great value for money if you're traveling with a larger group. Perhaps because of this, breakfast was incredibly crowded – I almost don't remember ever seeing such a crowded hotel breakfast. For both days, we were seated at tables added in the aisle. What's more, after the staff cleaned the tables, they didn't set out cutlery, so we had to ask for it. One staff member was very polite, while another seemed quite displeased.

This time, my experience was much better than last! The room had no strange smells, and the overall cleanliness was great. Even though it was still quite crowded this time (probably due to the summer holiday), everything was well-organized. Check-in was smooth, and I managed to catch the shuttle bus downstairs at 7:25 AM, though it didn't drop us off until around 7:40 AM after waiting a bit for it to depart. Still, pretty good!
**Environment:** Excellent!
**Round-trip shuttle bus from hotel to Disneytown:**
We only left at 7:25 AM (because we were really pushing it with time, it was already quite late!). After waiting a bit, we were dropped off at the entrance at 7:40 AM. I recommend heading straight for TRON Lightcycle Power Run first – it's my favorite! However, when we got there, we already had to queue for half an hour, so if you can wake up earlier, definitely do so!
**Early Park Entry (up to 1 hour before opening):**
It was useful! We only rode TRON Lightcycle Power Run, which was great. But I managed to get a lot of photos with no other guests!
Also, while walking from Tomorrowland towards Toy Story Land, we happened to catch Mickey and Minnie doing their thing before the park even opened. It only took 8-10 minutes to queue, which I wasn't thrilled about. But the staff told me, 'Oh my goodness, you have no idea, it usually takes two hours to queue for this!' So we waited for a bit and got to interact with them! Satisfied!

Guest UserDuring the May Day holiday, I specifically brought my child to visit Shanghai Wild Animal Park. After comparing many hotels in advance, I'm so glad I chose Guyiju Hotel! Traveling with kids, the last thing you want is a tiring and complicated experience. This hotel is perfect for family trips, from its location, environment, and hygiene to its service. The overall experience was absolutely fantastic, so I must give it a well-deserved five-star rating!
The location is truly unbeatable. It's incredibly close to Shanghai Wild Animal Park, just a 10-15 minute drive away. This means no early mornings and long commutes, and my child didn't get restless during the car ride. The hotel even offers a thoughtful complimentary shuttle service, dropping guests off at the zoo promptly at 9:00 AM and picking them up at 5:00 PM. This saved us the hassle of finding parking ourselves and made traveling with a child so much easier and more convenient. The surrounding area is also very well-equipped. Within walking distance, there are supermarkets, snack shops, convenience stores, and various restaurants. You can easily buy snacks, milk, and baby food that your child loves at any time. All daily essentials are taken care of in one go, meaning you don't need to carry a huge bag of supplies when you go out with your child. It's also very close to the subway, making it convenient to explore the city center later on.
The hotel's overall environment is quiet and elegant, with simple yet cozy decor. The lobby is clean, bright, and well-ventilated, without any noisy or bustling atmosphere, which is ideal for children to rest and play. The public areas are meticulously cleaned, spotless, and there are even resting chairs, so kids can sit down and take a break when they get tired. The whole atmosphere feels comfortable and reassuring.
The room's cleanliness was exceptionally good. Every corner of the room, under the bed, and the vanity area were spotless, free of any strange odors or dust. The bed was very comfortable, with a mattress that was just the right balance of soft and firm, so my child, after a day of playing, could lie down and sleep soundly. The bathroom had a wet and dry separation, and the floor was treated with anti-slip material, so I didn't have to worry about my child slipping and falling. The attention to detail extends to the room facilities, which are also very child-friendly. The smart lighting and automatic curtains are easy to operate, so you don't have to walk back and forth to switch things on and off, making it more convenient to care for your child. The toiletries are mild and non-irritating, which gave me peace of mind using them for my child. The Wi-Fi speed was also very fast, so my child could watch cartoons occasionally and adults could use their phones without any lag.
What I want to praise the most is the hotel's service. The front desk staff were incredibly gentle and patient. Check-in was quick, and they proactively and thoughtfully recommended a touring route for the zoo, suitable activities for children, and reminded us of important tips for traveling with kids. They even sent a fruit platter to our room. Any request we had, the front desk responded promptly. When my child temporarily needed hot water or a little help, the staff enthusiastically assisted, showing genuine warmth and kindness that made us feel very welcome.
The breakfast selection was also very rich, including light porridges, steamed buns, fried rice, multigrain side dishes, etc. The taste was light and not greasy, perfect for a child's stomach, easy to digest, and appealing to picky eaters. After a hearty breakfast, we were full of energy to explore the zoo. The hotel also has vending machines with drinks, snacks, and instant noodles, so even if you're too lazy to go out at night, you can easily get supplies. It's truly convenient when traveling with kids.
When traveling with children, cleanliness, safety, convenience, and ease are paramount, and Guyiju Hotel meets all these criteria. It offers excellent value for money, a quiet environment, impeccable hygiene, and warm service. Its proximity to the zoo and the shuttle service make it a true hidden gem for family trips. This May Day trip to Shanghai Wild Animal Park was so easy and enjoyable because we chose Guyiju Hotel. My child had a great time, and the adults weren't exhausted. I sincerely recommend this hotel to all parents bringing their children to Shanghai Wild Animal Park or Disneyland. Next time we visit Shanghai with our child, I will definitely choose to stay at Guyiju Hotel again! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The place is easy to find with the navigation, and parking is also convenient.
The first floor living room of the Sweet Villa we booked is very large, and the two families can spread out and sing karaoke, play board games, and the elders eat melon seeds and chat. It's very comfortable.
The small open space in front of the door is also open for children to run around.
The New Year's Eve dinner set is also delicious, and the farm vegetables are especially delicious.
Breakfast is self-service, with steamed buns and eggs, wontons and steamed dumplings, porridge and fried dough sticks, and milk. Although the place is not big, it is enough for breakfast.
At night, fireworks were set off in the open space near the homestay or the parking lot for the children to experience the New Year atmosphere. It was a very good New Year trip.
