A special shout-out to Skylar – her communication was gentle and detailed, and she thoroughly explained the location of the executive lounge on the 68th floor, as well as the pool and gym. The room itself was spacious, and the city night view created a wonderful ambiance. The service was thoughtful and unobtrusive, making my entire stay comfortable and relaxing."

"We were not happy with the arrangement that we had booked 3 rooms but was allocated at different levels of the hotel. We came with my elderly parents which are 80 years old. Everyday we have to travel up and down the hotel to help them with things. Our rooms were between 25th floor and 36 floor. Each time we need to travel to our parents we have to used almost 10 minutes to get to them and back to our room which was very frustrating. This is not the sort of experience I like when I paid a premium price for my stay."

"The service was absolutely terrible! Can you believe I couldn't even get a meal at this hotel? My partner and I drove to Guangzhou that night. We decided to eat first, so we dropped off our luggage at the front desk and asked them for restaurant recommendations nearby. We picked a Cantonese restaurant within walking distance. As soon as we entered, we asked for a menu, but the waiter told us to order by scanning a QR code. My partner and I were exhausted after a four-hour drive to Guangzhou, and we just wanted to eat quickly and go back to rest. So we just ordered a signature dish without much thought and started discussing our plans for the next day. The waiter first served tea, and then we waited and waited for our food. After 20 minutes, my partner and I even joked that they must be cooking everything fresh since it was taking so long. 40 minutes passed, and still no food! We had only ordered three dishes and two drinks in total. Even if the food was made to order, there's no way drinks should take 40 minutes. I angrily called a waiter over, only to be told they couldn't find our order. How is that possible? I definitely placed it! I opened the mini-program and it had indeed jumped to the order confirmation page, but I must have clicked out too quickly and didn't see it. So I had to reorder. That's why no food was coming out – the table next to us, who arrived later, already had their food! By the time our food finally arrived, others were already finishing up and paying. I was so hungry my stomach hurt, and the food had no taste. I wondered why the waiter kept smiling and talking when looking at us; were they mocking us? In the end, we paid good money and didn't enjoy a single bite. My partner and I were too upset to even talk on the way back to the hotel. We arrived in Guangzhou hungry and tired, and couldn't even get a meal. The more I thought about the front desk, the angrier I got. They even told us they provide free coffee 24/7 and we could ask for it anytime. Hearing that just made me even angrier! Was that their way of making fun of me for forgetting to place my order? And they said 'anytime' – I didn't even have their coffee when I extended my stay. I really can't get over this whole thing."

"Had a wonderful stay at Sofitel Guangzhou Sunrich. The room was spacious, clean, and well maintained. The bed was very comfortable, and the hotel's location made it convenient to travel around Guangzhou. Staff were friendly and professional throughout my stay. The breakfast buffet offered a good variety of choices. Highly recommended for both business and leisure travelers."

"After a long search, I finally chose this hotel, and I definitely made the right choice! The facilities here are excellent and very new. The hairdryer in the room is fantastic – great airflow, and the hot air isn't scalding; I actually want to buy one for myself! The room also has a huge 65-inch TV with screen casting capabilities, and a Tmall Genie for voice control, which can also connect via Bluetooth to play music. The service is great, and the hygiene is impeccable. Plus, the hotel's location is super convenient, right next to the subway station (Lines 6 and 1), and close to Shamian Island attractions. Highly recommend!"

"The lady at the front desk was so helpful and made check-in super fast! She even gave me some great recommendations for local food. The room's decor was lovely, I really liked it, and everything was neatly arranged. I had a wonderful night's sleep! It's very close to the subway station, which made getting around really convenient. I also loved their pillows – they were so comfortable that I bought one when I left, and they even shipped it to my home for free! 👍 I really, really liked it! 😘"

China Hotel

"Loved my stay here, they have full amenities from gym to sauna, steam and hot bath. They also have swimming pool. Had breakfast in their Four Seasons restaurant which was very good! There was a small hiccup as the aircon system had a tak, tak, tak sound in the evening and I called the front desk to check on it. They sent their maintenance personnel to check, he turned off the aircon and the sound went away. I was able to sleep through the night without it. But it came back the following day, I informed the reception about it."
