Rui Lan Square Qingju(Guangzhou Zhengjia Square, Taikuhui)
"I actually hesitated before booking this hotel. I looked at several options on the app, and this wasn't the cheapest, but my friend insisted it was convenient, so I listened to her. The first two days were nothing special, to be honest. The location was indeed good, but everything else was just okay. However, a few things happened on the third day that changed my mind, and I felt compelled to write about them. The first incident almost made me check out early and find another place. On the second night, I returned to my room and found the air conditioning wasn't working properly. Even on the lowest setting, the room wasn't cooling down. In Guangzhou's 35-36 degree weather, sleeping without AC is impossible. I was pretty annoyed, thinking, 'What's wrong with this hotel? They can't even fix the AC in the middle of summer?' I went down to the front desk, my tone not great, and said the AC wasn't cooling. I told them if it stayed like this, I'd switch hotels tomorrow. The front desk staff was very nice, didn't get upset with me, and said they'd send an engineer up immediately and asked me to wait a few minutes. I waited in my room, and an engineer came to check. Turns out, I had accidentally set it to heating mode! I was a bit embarrassed then. The engineer said it was no problem and even cleaned the AC filter while he was there. The filter was spotless before cleaning, which shows the hotel does a good job with maintenance. After the engineer left, the front desk even called up to check on things and offered to switch my room if it still wasn't cool. The AC worked perfectly after that, so I didn't change rooms. But this incident made me feel that this hotel handles problems very promptly. They didn't shirk responsibility or make me wait a long time. If you have an issue, they fix it right away, which is really reassuring. The second thing was borrowing a universal adapter. I brought a UK standard laptop charger this time and only realized upon arrival that the hotel's outlets wouldn't work. I had also forgotten to bring an adapter myself. I went down to the front desk to ask if they had one I could borrow. The front desk said yes and simply pulled one out of a drawer, telling me to return it after use. I used it for two days and returned it when checking out. Many hotels don't even stock such small items, or they require you to fill out forms and whatnot to borrow them. This hotel just handed it over, no registration, no deposit, super convenient. There's also a thoughtful detail I appreciated. One morning, I left in a hurry and forgot to turn off the lights and close the curtains in my room. When I returned in the evening, the lights were off, the curtains were closed, and the AC was set to a comfortable temperature. It must have been the cleaning staff who did it while tidying up during the day. Though it's a small thing, coming back to a room after a long day to find everything perfectly arranged for you is a really nice feeling. I drink coffee every day, mainly an iced coconut latte when I return in the afternoon to rest. The coffee made at the front desk is consistently good. The taste is the same every day, with a perfect balance of coconut milk and coffee – never too sweet or too bitter. I also tried the Americano a few times, having one before heading out in the morning. It's not acidic and tastes normally good. I used the iQIYI VIP to watch two documentaries in the evening; the picture quality was clear, and not having to subscribe myself saved me the hassle. The location is indeed as convenient as my friend said. Downstairs is the transfer station for Metro Lines 3 and 1. I relied on the subway almost exclusively during my stay in Guangzhou. Tianhe Sports Center, Zhujiang New Town, and Canton Tower are all direct lines. Taikoo Hui, Wanling Hui, Grandview Mall, and TeeMall are all within walking distance. One evening, I wanted to find a place to eat, and I just walked in a random direction from the hotel and found plenty of options within a few minutes. One afternoon, it rained, and I was inside TeeMall without an umbrella. I initially thought I'd wait for the rain to stop before heading back, but then I discovered I could walk through an underground passage from the mall almost all the way to the hotel, completely avoiding the rain. My shoes were still dry when I got back. Hygiene was also consistently good. Every day I returned, the room was spotless. The sheets and duvet covers looked freshly changed, the toilet and sink in the bathroom were sparkling clean, and there were no hairs on the floor. One day, I accidentally spilled water on the carpet and just blotted it with tissue, not thinking much of it. When I returned in the evening, that spot on the carpet had been cleaned; it was dry with no trace left, so it must have been the cleaning staff who noticed and took care of it. Check-out at the front desk was also very efficient. I was going to ask if I could have a late check-out, but before I could even open my mouth, the front desk staff offered, saying, 'I see your flight is in the afternoon, we can extend your check-out to 2 PM, so you don't have to rush.' Later, I left my luggage at the front desk and picked it up in the evening before heading straight to the airport. Everything went smoothly without any issues."
Sofitel Guangzhou Sunrich
"This stay far exceeded my expectations! The hotel boasts an excellent location with convenient transport links and plenty of dining and shopping options nearby. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was great, ensuring a good night's sleep. The front desk service, especially MIA Huang, was warm and attentive. Check-in was efficient, and she even kindly offered tips for exploring the local area, which was a lovely touch. When traveling, comfort is my top priority, and this hotel was a genuine surprise! No over-the-top marketing, just a genuinely clean and tidy place. The space felt open and not at all cramped, toiletries were well-stocked, and there was a constant supply of hot water. It's easy to find, close to shopping districts and attractions, saving time and effort when getting around. The service was just right – not overly polite or insincere – allowing for a quiet and undisturbed rest. Excellent value for money, this place really helped me recover from travel fatigue. Highly recommend!"
Yufei · Yunqi | CLOUDSCAPE · CORE Starry Sky Residence (Guangzhou Zhujiang New Town CBD TaiKoo Hui)
"Overall, it was a good stay. The location is excellent, and while the shared elevator area felt a bit old, it didn't detract from the overall impression of the room, which was great! 👍 It would be perfect if the price were a bit more reasonable; I just checked after checking out today and saw that next week's rates are actually cheaper."

"The location is great, right across from Yongqingfang! There's a pharmacy, noodle shop, and fruit store right outside, which is super convenient! The service was excellent, very warm, attentive, and they even provided a local travel guide! The room size was decent, and the bedding was comfortable. There's a common area on the first floor with free coffee and tea. The restaurant on the 4th floor is quiet and comfortable, offering milk, soy milk, coffee, Chinese noodle soup, Western salads, and bread – quite good :)"

"The lady at the front desk was so helpful and made check-in super fast! She even gave me some great recommendations for local food. The room's decor was lovely, I really liked it, and everything was neatly arranged. I had a wonderful night's sleep! It's very close to the subway station, which made getting around really convenient. I also loved their pillows – they were so comfortable that I bought one when I left, and they even shipped it to my home for free! 👍 I really, really liked it! 😘"
Yage Smart Select Apartment (Guangzhou Haizhu Yangang Subway Station)
