My stay was excellent; the hotel was well-organized and efficient overall. The front desk staff were professional and friendly, communication was smooth, and check-in was handled efficiently. The room cleaning was professional, facilities were well-maintained, hot water was consistent, and the bedding was comfortable. The hotel's location is convenient, making travel and sightseeing very easy. The breakfast quality was great, with fresh and authentic Chinese dishes, pastries, and dairy products. Overall, my trip and stay were secure and comfortable. I would definitely choose this hotel again next time and highly recommend it! In particular, the room was clean and tidy, offering a comfortable and quiet stay. The front desk service was professional and thoughtful, and getting around the area was convenient. Breakfast featured Chinese cuisine and French specialties, making for a great travel experience. Highly recommended.

Nestled on the bustling Huaihai Road, Garden Hotel offers a slice of old Shanghai's French romance. This century-old building, with its sprawling gardens, is a hidden gem amidst the urban buzz. As sunlight dances across the vintage corridors and you stroll through the garden lawns, time seems to slow down. My friends from Beijing, who stayed here with their child, were absolutely delighted. The expansive garden is perfect for little ones to explore, offering a tranquil and peaceful environment. The hotel masterfully blends European charm with Japanese attentiveness. Every brick and tile tells a story, making it a uniquely elegant spot in Shanghai, and perfectly suited for family getaways.

This hotel has an excellent environment, and the front desk service was incredibly professional, kind, and efficient. When they found out I was traveling with a child, they even upgraded me to a very luxurious room for free. A big thank you again to the front desk lady! The biggest advantage of staying here is the absolutely fantastic location! If I come back again, I will definitely choose this place. It was a very satisfying travel experience and a wonderful trip!

I originally booked for two days, but ended up staying a few extra days due to a typhoon. Everyone was very professional, proactively helpful, and thoughtful, which was very comforting. The room was extremely clean, and the laundry room was free to use. In short, the hotel is very well managed, truly embodying the Atour atmosphere. And the breakfast? It couldn't be better! It's a buffet, and the dishes are really flavorful; I looked forward to breakfast every day. The staff were also very kind to us. Don't believe me? Go try it for yourself! ;) The hotel also uses little robots to deliver takeout directly to your door. If I had to mention something that could be improved, it would be the in-room amenities. The TV screen can only connect to Apple products, which was a shame since my laptop isn't an Apple product, so I couldn't connect it. TT TT Thanks to the team for taking care of us this time, especially the staff member who helped us resolve an issue earlier. On check-out day, it was incredibly hot. While we were waiting for our Didi, the front desk even gave us some cooling patches! Thanks a lot! ~ ^_^ ~

For my last night in Shanghai, I chose the YMCA Hotel. 1. **Location is amazing!** It's just a 2-minute walk from the exit of Dashijie Metro Station. Right next door is Xian De Lai, a renowned Chinese time-honored brand restaurant, and every dish there is delicious. 2. **The hotel itself is a historic building** with deep roots. The relief carvings on the stairs, along with the emerald green ceilings and carpets, give it a unique and distinctive feel. 3. **The room facilities are comprehensive.** It features a wet/dry separation bathroom, a smart toilet as standard, and even a safe. The hand soap on the vanity smelled so good, I actually looked it up because I want to buy it! 😀 4. **Three bonus details:** There were alcohol wipes next to the toilet, a clever foldable metal clothes rack on the wall, and the disposable slippers were of really good quality.

This feels like a stylish little hotel. The price is reasonable for its central, bustling location, making it super convenient for shopping. However, there were a couple of minor issues with the room's facilities. The sink was a bit clogged, though the water did eventually drain, and when flushing the toilet, the water sometimes wouldn't stop running unless you fiddled with it. We didn't want to call maintenance and disturb our rest, so we just made do. I do hope the hotel can check and repair their equipment promptly to avoid inconveniencing future guests.

This hotel has been recently renovated. **Cleanliness**: It's very clean, with no strange odors. **Location**: The hotel is right near Hongfangzi Hospital – you can see it as soon as you step out. It's also very close to the subway station, and there are lots of restaurants downstairs. **Service**: Overall, it's pretty good. **Facilities**: There's no elevator, so you have to climb stairs.

Our stay with the kids was fantastic! The room was spacious and odorless, and everything was clean and safe. The front desk thoughtfully provided children's amenities. The environment was quiet, so my child slept soundly. It's also super convenient for exploring the surrounding area, making it an ideal choice for families. The smart home features were incredibly convenient; controlling the lights and curtains by voice felt so high-tech. The hygiene was excellent, the facilities were new, and it was all so easy to use, making our stay feel fresh and exciting. For this price, the quality far surpasses other hotels in the area in terms of value for money. We'll definitely be staying here again on our next visit. I truly recommend it to all fellow travelers!

My friends and I, each with our little ones, decided to travel to Shanghai. We booked this guesthouse as a last-minute alternative after cancelling our original hotel (because the beds were too small). We initially chose it simply because it was close by and we didn't want the hassle of moving again. After checking in, we discovered it truly embodied the essence of Shanghai. The house is located in a small, old-style apartment building in a lane, resembling an architectural masterpiece from the last century. Inside, the two bedrooms are spacious, there's an open kitchen, and the entire house has old wooden floors. The Ming and Qing dynasty furniture adds a touch of antique charm. It's also very convenient, with the subway station right across from the complex. Huaihai Road is just a short walk away, and there's also the architecturally distinctive Guotai Cinema – fantastic! The manager even extended our check-out time by two hours, and her prompt and thoughtful response was very considerate. A truly hidden gem of a guesthouse! [Thumbs up]

Huaihai Road's Hidden Gem Hotel | Seriously Good, You Guys! Girls! I've found a hidden gem of a hotel, and I just can't help but shout about it! Can you believe it's only around 100+ RMB per person, right in the heart of Shanghai's Xuhui district? The location is absolutely perfect! It's a 2-minute walk from Changshu Road subway station, making it convenient to get anywhere. As soon as I walked in, I was impressed by the attention to detail. A staff member proactively helped me with my luggage and even took it to my room, which made me feel very secure. The room has a fresh air system, so the air quality is excellent! The bedding is so soft I didn't want to get up, and the disposable toiletries are very complete. I especially want to highlight the bathroom. The automatic smart toilet even had a disinfection seal – a clean freak like me was absolutely thrilled! The shared bathrooms are also disinfected after each guest, sparkling clean. At night, I connected my Bluetooth headphones to watch TV; it was quiet and private, just perfect. There's even a laundry room with both a washing machine and a dryer, which is ideal for travelers! The hotel is called 'Yi Zhi Ning Meng Hotel (Shanghai Huaihai Road Branch),' located on the 18th floor of Yunhai Building, No. 1329 Huaihai Middle Road. Truly a high-value, little slice of happiness. I highly, highly recommend it! #BudgetHotelMonthlyRent #ShanghaiHuaihaiRoadBoutiqueHotel #TimeAgents #Anime #WhereToStayWhenTraveling #ShanghaiTravel #XuhuiAccommodation #HotelNearSubwayStation #SoloTravelerAccommodation #StudentBudgetHotel

The room has been newly renovated and, while not huge, it's still quite comfortable. The front desk service was excellent; a gentleman even helped me with my luggage when I first arrived. The hotel's location is fantastic, very close to the 'Jufuchang' area, which is perfect for a city walk and experiencing old Shanghai charm.

I specifically chose this hostel to experience the old Shikumen lane houses. It's tucked away deep in a bustling alley, and you have to navigate through winding old streets and traditional iron gates to get in. Stepping inside, you're immediately immersed in the vibrant atmosphere of old Shanghai, a delightful surprise for its tranquil location amidst the hustle and bustle. The renovated old house retains its vintage wooden windows and old floor tiles, and the courtyard is filled with greenery. I woke up to the aroma of breakfast stalls from the lane each morning, and in the evenings, I enjoyed the breeze in the courtyard, fully experiencing local life. The beds come with blackout curtains, individual reading lights, and charging ports. Storage lockers are complete, and the bedding is changed daily, fresh and odorless. The bathrooms are cleaned in sections, with 24-hour hot water. The public living area is spacious, with bookshelves, board games, a microwave, and a self-service washing machine – full of thoughtful details. The owner and staff are warm and genuine, proactively sharing local hidden gems for food and off-the-beaten-path routes, helping me avoid tourist traps. Shopping districts and the subway are within walking distance, and there are old-school pastry shops all around. The value for money is absolutely amazing. It's my top choice for solo travelers and students. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Shanghai!

We stayed here as three people, and it was very comfortable for us. The apartment had everything we needed. They also gave us extra clean towels and other things during our stay. The location is really good. There is a business center nearby with a supermarket, currency exchange, and different shops. There are also 24-hour FamilyMart stores close to the apartment. It was easy to get around the city from here. The apartment also has its own taxi service, and we used it a lot. It was much easier than looking for a car in DiDi. The drivers always came on time, so we never had any problems. The metro is about 15 minutes away on foot. There are also several shopping malls, many shops, and nice streets nearby. We looked at many different places before the trip, and this one turned out to be the best choice for us. We really enjoyed staying here and would stay here again next time.

Nice place to stay but there are a few things to be aware of. Like all places in China there is a registration system. We sent our passports to Andy who was able to do it for us. The neighbourhood feels very safe and has security at the front. All former mansions are subdivided into rooms which are then occupied by many people. As a result, you will share a front door and some of the corridor. Because of this, the rooms are rather close together which meant in the morning you would often hear people cooking, talking etc. and in evening you might hear a bit of snoring. All together it wasn’t bad and it felt more local. The room itself was pretty well equipped and had two large areas for the upstairs and downstairs. We enjoyed the projector and kitchen. The bathroom’s water pressure/shower head was a little weak and often got a little flooded as we were given disposable linen. The disposable bedsheets were fine but the towels were not really absorbent. The location was probably the nicest aspect. It was nice and uniquely shanghai unlike staying in the newer parts of town.
