Grand Hyatt Shanghai

A spontaneous choice led me to the Grand Hyatt Jin Mao. The hotel called a day in advance, thoughtfully arranging a river-view room with a stunning view of the Oriental Pearl Tower. The weather was perfect, allowing me to enjoy a beautiful sunset without even leaving my room. The facilities are well-maintained, though the sink design was a little inconvenient. While breakfast has a great reputation, I personally felt there was room for improvement. Overall, it was a comfortable stay, and I would be happy to return if I'm in the area again.

On a family vacation to Shanghai, I'd like to thank Mia for proactively asking about our check-in needs and preparing a room perfect for our elderly family members. The room had no steps in the hallway, the bathroom was equipped with non-slip mats, and the hot water temperature was stable, not fluctuating between hot and cold. The mattress was just right – not too soft or saggy. For breakfast, there was soft congee and steamed dim sum, and the variety of dishes was extensive. The staff were very patient. My family was very satisfied; it was a pleasant stay! 😊

I happened to visit during a typhoon, and the strong winds howled all night, making the metal fixtures rattle quite loudly. Every time there was a sound, I'd wake up. This time I specifically chose the 270-degree view room, but next time a regular king-size room would be better. I'd opt for a river view room with the Oriental Pearl Tower; this room, apart from a wall of the Shanghai Tower, really had a very ordinary view otherwise. A standard room would likely have better soundproofing when it's windy. The front desk staff provided good service, though.

The entrance and exit to the underground parking garage are spacious, and the parking signs are clear. Plus, parking is free. The hotel lobby is grand, and the common areas are adorned with greenery, creating an elegant atmosphere. The blackout curtains in the guest rooms are excellent, making it easy to sleep in without disturbance. The room attendants are kind and considerate, ensuring that cleaning doesn't interrupt guests' rest. Room supply requests are handled promptly, making for a truly comfortable stay.

Bringing my parents and kids to experience the unparalleled Bund view at Grand Hyatt Jin Mao was a real treat. Staying on the 76th floor of the Jin Mao Tower, one of Shanghai's 'three giants,' offered amazing close-up views of the Oriental Pearl Tower and a distant panorama of the Bund's night lights across Puxi. The Jin Mao Tower's exterior and interior design are truly architectural masterpieces. The express elevator to the 54th-floor lobby is incredibly fast, giving you that same ear-popping sensation as a plane taking off. The room's cleanliness was very good. While the room amenities and breakfast were decent, the incredible skyline experience more than made up for it. My whole family was very satisfied.

The hotel's soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a high quality of rest. The front desk service was equally outstanding. The staff were exceptionally well-mannered and gentle. HENRY, who assisted with my check-in, handled the entire process smoothly and efficiently. He proactively helped coordinate my room type preferences, taking into account my accommodation needs, which significantly enhanced my stay. The thoughtful and attentive service made the entire trip pleasant and stress-free. Even with large crowds during the holiday season, the front desk maintained its excellent service. Staff members efficiently managed guests in an orderly fashion, preventing long queues. Their service attitude remained consistently gentle, and they patiently answered every guest's questions. Maintaining such a high standard of service during peak times is truly commendable.

Traveling by car was a breeze from start to finish. The underground parking was convenient, and the concierge gave clear directions. Check-in on the 54th floor was quick and efficient, and the front desk staff patiently answered all our questions about parking and local traffic. The soundproofing in the room was excellent, and being on a high floor meant we were far from the street noise. Lying in bed and enjoying the panoramic view of the Lujiazui skyline was truly relaxing and comfortable.
