Shanghai Xuhui District Hotels

I have to give a shout-out to the front desk staff! Their service was incredibly thoughtful throughout my stay. The check-in process was efficient and seamless, and they even proactively offered recommendations for local attractions. They were so friendly and patient, and always responded quickly to any last-minute requests for help. Truly professional and kind. The clean and comfortable environment combined with the fantastic front desk service made this a perfect stay. I'll definitely be back!

My stay at the Fairfield by Marriott Shanghai Xuhui exceeded my expectations. The location is incredibly convenient, right next to the Xujiahui commercial area. It's about an 8-minute walk to the subway station, and there are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby. The hotel lobby is clean and bright, and the staff were very efficient. During check-in, they thoughtfully reminded me about breakfast times and the parking location. Although the room wasn't huge, the layout was very practical, the bedding was comfortable, and the bathroom had a great wet/dry separation with excellent shower pressure. What impressed me most was the high standard of cleanliness – even the windowsill and light switches were spotless. The staff were truly excellent, with great service attitudes and a genuine care for guests.

Pros: The room was quite spacious for Shanghai and well thought. The shower unit with small sink is separated from the toilet. Water pressure is ok. The beds were comfortable. The room was cleaned everyday. The hotel is situated in strategic location but expected to walk around 12-15 min to the nearest metro station. Cons: The infrastructure doesn't look that old but it won't age well for example so parts were falling out as the outlet cover after one use. We went end of March/beginning of April and the A/C unit/central unit wasn't ready so we couldn't use it which means that the room temperature is constantly around 25/30°C during the day even with windows opened. The staff is really passive during check-in no explanation for how to use the eleveator that are in the buidling next door. Some renovation works were happening during our stay and we were never informed properly ahead such as the laundry room being moved to another floor or the main hall being blocked so you have to use another entry.

The location is excellent! There's a supermarket right next door which is super convenient, plus a few restaurants. It's also very close to Jiaotong University and all sorts of shopping malls are in the vicinity, so it's really handy. You can easily catch a ride right outside the entrance. The service from the young man was also very good. Overall, it's pretty decent.

My stay at Jinjiang Inn was quite pleasant! [Happy emoji] It's very close to the subway station, which made getting around super easy. If you're driving, the hotel's parking is very reasonably priced. The staff were all friendly and provided great service. 👍🏻 The price was right, and I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I'm in Shanghai!

Conveniently located near the subway, with a shopping mall, church, and Xujiahui Academy nearby. It's right next to Xuhui High School, which you can even visit during the Qingming Festival – it's quite a beautiful campus. The room itself was decent, though the facilities are a bit dated. The window couldn't be opened, making it a little stuffy, and the lighting at night was a bit dim. However, the cleanliness was well-maintained. The housekeeping staff were quite friendly. Breakfast was extensive, leaning towards Western options, with plenty of cakes and breads. I noticed a lot of foreigners dining there. The afternoon tea is also highly recommended – very substantial.

Not the best place to stay. Me and my friend travel a lot and visit more than 50 hotels every year. Based on my experience I wouldn’t say it’sworth its money. We stayed at another Pullman hotel before and it was incredible but this one is one of their worst hotels. Definitely not the same level as in other countries. No English speaking staff at the hotel. Web we checked in and got our room we saw it’s was dirty with cigarette ashes next to the window. We had to ask them to clean our room again. Next morning we tried to order breakfast and it took us more than 1 hour to just order and then to wait and realise they didn’t understand what we wanted to order and mixed everything up and even added meat to our dishes where it shouldn’t be and we don’t eat meat. They tried to solve the issue several times but somehow every time they brought our food it was wrong. The whole experience was very stressful. Thanks trip for trying to solve this. Although the hotel couldn’t help, trip offered some refund for this inconvenience. The hotel said they have a gift for us when we come back to collect our suitcases. Funny to find out the gift they offered for this whole inconvenience is a bottle of sparkling water. The location is not the best too, there are so many options of Chinese hotels that can offer much more for less so don’t make your choice only because it’s Pullman as we did.

This was my best experience in a hotel in China. Everyone was so nice!! I should go back to SH every year and I think I'll stay there again and again!!

My stay was incredibly peaceful and comfortable. The room was clean and tastefully minimalist, with simple yet elegant furnishings. The bedding was soft and lovely against the skin, and the natural light flooded in beautifully, showing great attention to detail. The environment was quiet and free from noise, and getting around was convenient. The service was gentle and thoughtful. It's truly an ideal retreat to relax and escape the hustle and bustle.

A hotel recommended by a friend in Shanghai, and it exceeded my expectations. From the bellhops to the front desk staff and housekeeping, everyone was proactive and enthusiastic. The room was very new, the bed was super comfortable, and all the details were well thought out. The bathroom even had a retractable clothesline, which was really convenient for drying delicates. There were also plenty of mirrors – handy when you needed one, but not intrusive when you didn't. The hotel garden was beautiful, and there's a bus stop right outside. Plus, it's quite close to Hongqiao Airport. I'll definitely be staying here again next time.
