"I've stayed at this hotel multiple times, and unfortunately, on the day of my most recent stay, there was window cleaning service outside, so I had to keep the curtains closed the whole time. More importantly, the soundproofing is really poor. Or perhaps it was the noisy neighbors who left their door open; either way, I was surrounded by noise all night long, ugh! Another area that needs improvement is the hotel service. When I carelessly left some clothes in my room and called immediately, the front desk's service was quite inefficient. I didn't get a prompt reply, so I had to call again about 8 minutes later to inquire. Finally, they confirmed the forgotten items and agreed to mail them to me!"

Plus, there are cute robots that help with service! ๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜„ In a city like Shanghai, where hotels are very expensive, I would definitely choose to stay here again next time. It's mostly international guests here, and Yu Garden is right next door. "While organizing my photo album, I found pictures I'd taken intending to leave a review. Although the location was in a village, and we arrived at 3 AM, the road was very dark. I had informed the host beforehand, but she still kindly had her younger brother wait for us. He even turned on the heater for us beforehand โ€“ something I hadn't expected! Touching +1. The host also asked what time I was going to Disneyland the next day. I said I probably wouldn't be able to get there that early, but she said she'd contact her father five minutes early to take us there for free. Touching +2. The next morning, while having breakfast (simple, but for a 90s kid like me, filling my stomach is the best thing), I saw the host's father. We greeted him warmly, and he was very kind, asking what time we were arriving and telling us how to collect our luggage at the Disneyland entrance. Touching +3. It was my first time at Disneyland, and meeting such a wonderful guesthouse owner was both fate and good luck. If it were spring or summer, the hotel's surroundings would be very photogenic and comfortable."

I couldn't turn off one of the spotlights with the main lighting control; it was right above my head. I piled up pillows to block the direct light from my eyes, but the room was still bright, and I had a terrible night's sleep. I read previous reviews saying the soundproofing was good; I didn't hear any plane noise, but I could definitely hear sounds from next door and downstairs. Plus, the bedside outlet had no power, so I had to charge my phone in the bathroom. If it weren't for a mandatory early morning flight, and if I didn't have an eye mask and earplugs, I would absolutely never stay here again."

"This was honestly one of the most memorable hotel stays we have ever experienced. We stayed at The Ritz-Carlton Shanghai, Pudong to celebrate my girlfriendโ€™s 23rd birthday during our first trip to Shanghai together, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations from beginning to end. Before arrival, Assistant Guest Recognition Manager Yana Ivleva kindly communicated with us by email and thoughtfully helped arrange everything for the celebration. Her warmth, professionalism, and genuine care made us feel welcomed even before we arrived at the hotel. The room decoration, birthday cake, handwritten card, flowers, and beautiful Bund view created such a special atmosphere for us. Every detail felt thoughtful and heartfelt rather than simply formal hotel service. The hotel itself was also outstanding โ€” the room condition, cleanliness, facilities, swimming pool, and especially the incredible night view of Shanghai were all amazing. Flair Rooftop Bar was also a wonderful experience for enjoying the skyline and atmosphere. What impressed us the most, however, was the hospitality. Yana and the staff truly made this stay unforgettable for us, and thanks to them, our first trip to Shanghai became a memory we will cherish for a very long time. "Fantastic, family-friendly hotel with exceptional amenities and service! We had a highly pleasant and happy stay at the Shanghai Rezen Garden Hotel from May 31st to June 3rd. It is an incredibly convenient and family-friendly place to stay, especially for foreign travelers. The Room: Our room was very large, spotlessly clean, and featured convenient automatic curtains and toilets. It also included a comfortable sofa bed, which easily accommodated our family. The hotel thoughtfully provided kid-sized slippers and toothbrushes, which was a lovely touch. The main bed was quite spacious, though the mattress comfort level could be slightly improved. Additionally, the shower head spray was a bit too strong for young children, so a softer pressure option would be a great upgrade. The Food: The breakfast buffet offers a wonderful spread of both traditional Chinese and international options. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the menu, and a huge plus for families is that breakfast is free for children under 1.3 meters! I personally highly recommend the cream puffs and fresh soy milkโ€”they were absolutely delicious. The Amenities (A Huge Plus!): The amenities here are superb! Having a supermarket right inside the hotel was a major highlight for us as foreigners; it quickly became our go-to spot for daily breads, drinks, and snacks. On top of that, there is a great souvenir shop on Level 1 that sells Disney merchandise (perfect if you want to grab a Disney hat or last-minute gifts) and they even provide stroller rentals, which is incredibly convenient. The hotel also features an indoor playground with unlimited access for the kids. This gave us a much-needed breather to relax in the lobby and organize our daily itinerary while the children were happily entertained. Furthermore, the lobby hosts a helpful tour agent and coordinates multi-destination shuttles that make us want to return on our next trip to Shanghai. To top it off, the 24-hour Chinese restaurant serves delicious food delivered right to your room by a robot, which the kids absolutely loved. The Service: Truly awesome. The coordination for the airport, Disney, and zoo shuttles was seamless. The cleaning auntie was incredibly kind and proactively provided extra bottled water for our family. A special shout-out to the front desk team: I forgot my vitamins, and they went above and beyond by helping me purchase them via ******* and delivering them to my room-door in less than 45mins. I appreciated this so much! Overall, we had a fantastic experience and highly recommend this hotel to families visiting Shanghai!"
