"Excellent hotel! We stayed here for one night during our honeymoon, and it was just perfevt. The staff were extremely friendly and kind, giving us a nice welcome and even flowers for our honeymoon. We had rented one room with an outside courtyard, and they even gave us the option to check other rooms to see which was our favorite. Our room had a Southeast Asian style courtyard with a wonderful soaking tub. Truly a 10/10 stay all around. The hotel is also excellently located for exploring the center of Kunming, with great shopping and food within short walking distance. Highly recommend!"

"We are writing this review while staying in this hotel now. We have traveled from Feilai Shangrila a 5-6 hours drive and a 4.5 hr train very tired and sleepy at 11pm but were greeted with good service at the reception and was happy that the reception staff said that she will UPGRADE us to a better room and also mentioned their best room. They also mentioned that they are doing this so that we can write them good review. We were so happy, but when we opened our so-called “better room” we were greeted with a room with an opened window and smelled like someone just smoked in the room. Though the room is big I checked what I have booked and realized that it is still the same size same type of room that I have booked no upgrade at all as mentioned by the staff. The so-called “smart toilet” can only flush in different way but no bidet washing function which are available in many other hotel. I was disappointed that if they mentioned there is an upgrade, then they should give me a better room but yet we were given a less than normal room that we have booked. We were disappointed and tired to ask to make any changes. By the way the toilet will flood after our shower. It’s mentioned in the features of this room to have rain shower but we are getting a spray shower that spray towards the glass door and cause water to flow toward the door making it slippery and dangerous. I will not recommend this hotel as there are many other better hotel that is cheaper yet offer better updated features in the room."

"Very nice hotel, we have stayed here twice now. There is so much attention to detail in the decor around the hotel and courtyard, it’s so peaceful you forget you are in the city. Staff are very kind and helpful, especially helping with luggage. There are many nice extras like tea tasting and afternoon tea but the breakfast was real star of the show - we recommend trying the Yunnan special ‘crossing the bridge rice noodles’. We will stay here again next time we are in Kunming."

"Overall, it was a short and pleasant stay in Kunming. The location of this hotel is 10/10- there’s a food street just outside the hotel (many halal options), famous milk tea chains (山山茶茶，上山喝茶）, shopping malls, and 南屏街. The convenience of the location is its greatest selling point. The hotel was clean, slightly small but tolerable, and many amenities were included. Overall, it’s perfect for a short stay in Kunming."

The room was clean, tidy, and odor-free, with complete and well-functioning facilities, making for a comfortable and peaceful stay. The snacks at the hotel restaurant were delicious and offered great value for money. My stay was perfect, and I will definitely choose this hotel again next time. Highly recommended!"

"Solid old-school hotel with an incredible location right by the lake. For the price it’s decent tho I might stay somewhere a little nicer next time. Breakfast is acceptable but acoustics in the restaurant are horrible - super noisy. Also the gym is just bizarre but usable and they need to keep the AC on. Pool was under construction so you might wanna call ahead if that’s important to you."

"First of all, the transportation is very convenient. Dianchi Lake is just a 2-minute walk away, and there are many seagulls. The room is also very quiet. The owner is very friendly and helpful, introducing what to do around the area and when to take photos. Seeing that we had elderly relatives and thought staying on the second floor would be inconvenient, they kindly arranged for us to stay in the courtyard on the first floor. The room is very clean, and the facilities are complete, all controlled by a smart speaker. The bedding is white and very clean. There are many places to eat nearby, which is very convenient. In the evening, there are many night market stalls, creating a great atmosphere, suitable for casual gatherings. Highly recommended."

"In order to come to the flower market, I chose a hotel that was right next to me. The owner upgraded the room for free. I checked in in the afternoon. I could just watch the sunset in the room. It was very artistic. The sanitation was also very clean. I recommend it."

"During the last few days of summer vacation, I took my two children on a self-guided trip to Kunming. Our criteria for a high-end hotel, near Dianchi Lake, and with no negative reviews were high-end. After looking at many options, we chose this B&B. Our experience: The owner built the B&B on a residential plot of land, and the layout and decor are meticulously crafted. The electric curtains are convenient, the automatic night light can be set anywhere, and the hot shower has strong water pressure. Four of us stayed in the largest room, which was very spacious. From the bed, we could see Dianchi Lake, rice paddies outside the window, and the train station in the distance. It was very quiet at night. Breakfast was freshly cooked rice noodles/noodles, eggs, steamed buns, and yogurt, and was delicious. There's a farmhouse restaurant next to the hotel, serving local cuisine and convenient for dining. The owner provided bicycles for us to ride along Dianchi Lake for a short ride (photos attached), enjoying the beautiful scenery and fresh air. Taxis to tourist attractions were also very convenient. Overall, our stay was a great experience, and I've included photos of my positive review."

The room was spotlessly clean with no strange odors, and the bedding was soft, making for a very relaxing sleep. The surrounding area offers convenient transportation and complete amenities, yet it was quiet and peaceful at night. Overall, it's great value for money, suitable for business trips or short stays. Highly recommended!"

"Facilities: The TV picture quality wasn't great, and while it said there was wireless charging by the bed, it didn't work. The wet/dry separation in the shower wasn't good, and the showerhead was difficult to position. The bed was very comfortable, and I really liked the desk and chair. Cleanliness: It was pretty good, but not perfect. For example, I accidentally stained the shower door the day before, and it was still the same the next day. Environment: The environment was great and very quiet. There was a slight issue with soundproofing, but it didn't really affect anything. The bar and gym were excellent! Service: The service was fantastic! The front desk, bar staff, housekeeping, and even the pillow delivery were all thorough and excellent."

"The hotel is conveniently located opposite green lake and a scenic 15 mins walk to the old town with many cosy cafes enroute. Room and bed was comfy and had all the needed amenities and included a wholesome and hearty breakfast, mini bar and night deserts😊 We had a small incident on the day we checked in. The room Aircon wasn't cold. The manager on duty said they did not have any other room for us. However, our tour lead from 深中旅遊 阿濤 sorted it out for us in no time. Subsequently, the hotel staff Neo, Lisa and Malik did a great job on service recovery and made our trip whole again. We highly commend their hospitality and awesome attitude. I will stay at Zhong Wei again as long as they are here."

The bed was incredibly comfortable, featuring light yellow bedding. The in-room direct drinking water system and voice-controlled smart features were very modern and a pleasure to use daily. Furthermore, all the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. From the receptionists to the cleaning staff, everyone demonstrated professionalism and enthusiasm. The hotel's breakfast buffet was incredibly rich and varied, catering to different tastes with fresh and delicious food. Overall, it's a highly recommended hotel. Whether you're traveling for business or leisure, it's an excellent choice. I'm already planning my next visit and will definitely be recommending this hotel to my friends."

The service was fantastic, and all the staff were very polite! The hotel breakfast was good, especially the rice noodles – delicious! Plus, breakfast hours were quite generous. Surroundings: The view from the window was pleasant, with the Western Hills in the distance and Dianchi Lake nearby! Summary: Overall, I was very satisfied. It was a great stay and travel experience! If you're looking to visit Dianchi Lake and its surroundings, this hotel is, all things considered, an excellent choice!"

"This hotel is new and clean, it's located at 13 floor of the Wanda Plaza which is super convenient. The room is super clean, modern, and enabled with voice-controlled system, including smart toilet too! The front desk girls are very polite and super helpful, they even recommended places for us to visit while waiting for our return flight at night. They offer wide spread of breakfast choices which includes the famous Yunnan bridge noodle. I'll definitely stay in this hotel again if I'm travelling to Kunming again next time."
