Whenever I come to Kunming, I will check in. It is a must-go. It is clean and hygienic. Whatever you say to the front desk butler can be solved quickly. Last time I stayed in an e-sports hotel in another place, I asked for something, but it was not delivered for 40 minutes. Finally, I got angry and it was delivered. Forget it, I'd better go back to KING X. It's efficient.

InterContinental hotel locates near Kunming's DianChi - 滇池 within walking distance. The hotel resort is relatively huge and it took me quite a while from my room to the lobby.
So if you hate walking, this maybe something you need to consider. Furthermore, the room facilities are kind out of date especially the toilet which is a minus compared with other 6-star hotel. The restaurant especially the Chinese restaurant is not where you would get local Yunnan flavor, so avoid it if possible.
In general, this is a resort hotel which is much better than any of the resort hotels I have visited in the West Coast of US. So I would still recommend it for anyone visiting Kunming, China.

We loved it. The room was beautifully designed and well equipped, very quiet and equipped with all kinds of amenities you could wish for. The staff was also lovely and friendly.
There is a (DIY) laundry available in-house whhixh we used and much appreciated.
The location is great thanks to the fact that there is the railway station as well as metro and restaurant and cafés nearby. The ‚17coffee‘ was amazing (:

The hotel looks OK. You can buy Bawang Cha Ji and Cha Bai Dao across the street. The hotel room walls are not very beautiful but it is still ok to stay. There is a washing machine for washing clothes. The breakfast is still good. If you want to go to the scenic spots, it is recommended to take a car, after all, it is still a distance to Kunming Old Street.

Had a restful sleep, beautiful view from level 28, huge room for my family, clean rooms, water heater is available, lots of wall plugs for charging mobile phones, receptionists are available and attentive to all our needs, right outside the hotel there are roadside stores to get a taste of local breakfast.
Will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an enjoyable experience and return to this place if and when I do visit Kun Ming again.

But as a business trip, I have a lot of discomforts. First of all, there are nail salons on the floor. The corridor is still under construction. The room changed from one floor to two floors, so I couldn't even lift my arms in the room because I was so short. If you want to work, you have to turn sideways because the room is too small. Although everything is complete, we still pay attention to convenience when traveling for business. I have stayed in B&Bs in Taiyuan and Dalian before. It is no exaggeration to say that one room there is as big as at least 4 rooms above and below here.
Honestly, if I'm traveling with my friends, I don't care about this place. This is more like a party hall. If I'm traveling for work, I won't consider this place again.

The hotel has good infrastructure. 7 Days seems to be a classic chain. The front desk is very polite and skilled. The infrastructure in the room is very complete and clean. Needless to say. The gaming chair, mouse, keyboard, monitor, headset and other computer-related equipment are all very new, and the configuration is not false. It is a real 3070, but it certainly does not look brand new, but this does not matter. It is comfortable to use. Steam and the system download good games to see the pictures, except that Age of Empires 3 Definitive Edition took me more than half an hour to download. The download speed is very fast and can reach 10 to 20 m per second. There is no problem with the delay in playing games, but the Internet is a little stuck.
Minor shortcomings: 1. I wanted to take a shower around 11 o'clock, and the water temperature of the hot water was only warm, not very hot.
2. The windows of the e-sports room do not seem to be completely open to the outside. Outside the window is an open space in the building, and there is a car parked. People walk by from time to time. The headset belt is not noticed.
Summary: There are too many scams in e-sports hotels nowadays. There is not much to complain about this one. If I have to stay overnight near South Station next time, I will definitely come here again.
