We had a very good time in this hotel!
1) the room was nice: comfortable bed, nice balcony, shower and bathtub
2) breakfast was good, mainly Chinese but tasty (we missed some cheese) and it was not crowded, it was very clean and organized
3) staff were polite although we always had to use apps to communicate which created sometimes misunderstandings
4) pool was nice, with a hot water pool and slides so lots of fun for a toddler
5) playground for a 2yo was small but considering that there was a pool also, my son had fun
Overall we like it a lot and considering the price, it’s was a good choice

The hotel staffs were very friendly and helpful as they willing to go extra miles to help us (the foreigners) with our taobao parcels (i.e. contacting the sellers, chasing the logistic and even helped us to collect the parcel from the taobao station).
They deserved this 5 stars hospitality and we will definitely come back to stay in this hotel if we ever come to Kunming again!
The buffet style breakfast was fantastic with variety of choices among all the hotels that we stayed in yunnan.
They even offered us free lunch/dinner each day throughout our 3 nights stay!
The hotel is very clean and it is located very strategically from the train/bus station, airport and also the tourist attraction (old street).
We felt extra welcomed when the staffs brought us welcome fruits and upgraded our room to bathtub room.
We really enjoyed the great hospitality by this hotel!

The hotel where I stayed at the first stop in Kunming. It takes about 50 minutes from the airport to the hotel.
After all, it is an old hotel, but the simplicity of the facilities is still beyond imagination. It may be related to the fact that I usually stay in star-rated hotels, but it is acceptable.
The scenery of the hotel is very good during the day. There are not many people during the stay. It is very quiet. There is a big lake next to the hotel, but I didn’t see pigeons. There are many squirrels in the trees😂
I think the breakfast is okay. It is definitely not as good as star-rated hotels, but the basic requirements can be met. The rice noodles are delicious.
The attractions around the hotel are very convenient. It takes more than ten minutes to get there by taxi.
Overall, it is okay, suitable for families and elderly people, quiet, green, and travelers who do not require high room facilities.

After a little relaxation during the holiday, I was a little surprised when I arrived in the courtyard of the B&B, the rooftop garden! Entering the lobby, there are comfortable sofas, a huge mahogany tea table, and a wall of tea leaves. The atmosphere of the B&B is not too strong. From the rooms and public areas, it can be seen that the boss is very attentive and some details can be reflected. It was an unexpected surprise. The room I booked was a large suite with a small courtyard, which was warm and comfortable. The service is also very good, the facilities are well-equipped, the breakfast is delicious, and it is clean and tidy. Will choose Fenglong Bay again! Looking forward to the next visit!

Very much more than expected experience. The location is behind the municipal party committee compound and it is very quiet. As soon as I entered the lobby, I smelled a faint tea fragrance. It was my first time to visit Kunming with my friends. I chose their home online. It has a warm environment and complete supporting facilities. The decoration and design are all in my favorite style. The surrounding environment is quiet and equipped with disposable disinfected slippers. Facilities: To be honest, it may be a shop opened eight or nine years ago, the facilities are obviously old, the supporting facilities in the room are slightly poor, the bathing equipment is old, the shower is turned on and water is sprayed in all directions to the west, and the water temperature is hot and cold. There is basically no other place to sit except the bed, which is really not in line with the B&B at this price.
Hygiene: The room hygiene is average. If you accidentally open the drawer, there will be food garbage left by the previous guest. Other than that, it is quite clean.
Environment: It was rebuilt on the basis of the original Japan Pavilion in the World Expo Park. The atmosphere of daily life is good and relatively quiet.
Service: The B&B brother will help with the luggage, greet warmly, and introduce the room facilities. Since the hotel meals must be booked in advance, you can only order takeout, and the front desk butler will help deliver it to the room. There is a private hot spring in the room, with petals and milk. The petal milk bath relaxes the mood and body. This is a place worth praising.

OokjszThe room I stayed in was a villa. It was built on a hilltop along the half slope. It was relatively quiet. The facilities inside were relatively new. Very clean and sanitary. The hot spring pool was large and water was delivered twice a day. The service was good and available on call. The outside was mainly a hot spring pool, all on the hillside along the road. Breakfast was OK in the restaurant on the top of the mountain. The waiters were warm and polite. One of them (named Huang Chunhua) was quite warm, positive and polite.
The shortcomings were: 1. The scenery on the top of the mountain was more beautiful when you looked at the lake, and the scenery on the other half was worse, all of which were farmland covered with white film and unfinished buildings. 2. Pay attention when booking a two-bedroom room. There is a two-bedroom villa with only one bathroom. If you want two bathrooms, it will be much more expensive. I don't know what the design considerations are.

KKevin I've stayed in dozens of ”5-star” hotels throughout China (inc. one in Hangzhou that was horrifying!); Kunming's Intercontinental is a TRUE 5-star hotel.
The service, amenities, extensive grounds, and rooms are all top tier. The location is great for the West Lake scenic spot (other than that it's quite far from the city hubbub... to be expected when the hotel grounds require a fold-out map!).
The dinner & breakfast were excellent (although all the fanciest dinner options were seafood, if that matters to you).
Pay the little bit extra, stay at this hotel, you won't regret it.

I have always wanted to find a high-end boutique hotel by the Dianchi Lake to relax and unwind. I discovered this newly opened five-star high-end homestay hotel on Ctrip. It was truly an unforgettable stay.
As soon as you step into the hotel, you can feel the quiet and high-end atmosphere. Every detail of the wabi-sabi aesthetic design shows taste and is full of artistic sense. The hotel's environment, facilities and services are impeccable. It is definitely a great choice for a relaxing vacation!
The room is high-end and elegant, and is very exquisitely decorated. The texture of the furniture is great, the sofa is lazy and comfortable, and the bedding is soft, making you not want to get up once you lie down on it. The beautiful view of Dianchi Lake outside the floor-to-ceiling windows seems to have moved the entire scenery of the lake and mountains into the room. When you wake up in the morning, you can see the sparkling lake, and your mood is instantly healed.
The hotel’s infinity pool is a great photo opportunity, and my friends’ circle has been flooded with my photos! In the evening, sit by the pool, watch the sunset, feel the breeze, and immerse yourself in tranquility and beauty.
I was also impressed by the hotel's breakfast. The variety is rich and varied, including both local specialties and various Western dishes. The ingredients are fresh and the taste is very good. It is such a pleasant feeling to have breakfast by the window, admire the lake view outside the window, taste delicious food and start a beautiful day.
Highly recommended to everyone! If I have the chance in the future, I will definitely come again!

It’s located right across the road from the Dianchi Lake and very close (within walking distance) to major tourist attractions in Kunming. This is a relatively small hotel with an elegant and relaxing ambiance. Rooms are beautifully furnished and very spacious. Breakfast is buffet style with plenty of delicious options. The hotel restaurant offers an extensive menu for lunch and dinner and is open nonstop till late hours in the evening. The food is excellent and very reasonably priced. In fact, we ate at the hotel restaurant all the time during our three-day visit in Kunming. Staff members are very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this place, especially for leisure travelers who want to stay in a quiet area and be close to tourist attractions.

Too suitable for vacation or family travel. We are taking our children on vacation this time. Kunming's February is very warm, which makes me a northerner feel warm. EErmaTo be honest, it was not a good accommodation experience. The price of the hotel is not proportional to the facilities and services provided. I called the front desk before checking in to find out the route to the hotel. The telephone line at the front desk was loose and I couldn't even hear what I said (you can listen to the recording). When I checked in, I asked the front desk to call a taxi for the next morning, and the answer was that I could call a taxi by myself. After I moved into the room, I wanted to put the food in the small refrigerator in the room, but the refrigerator didn't work. I asked the maintenance worker to check and found that there was no socket behind the refrigerator. The refrigerator was just a decoration. I had to put the refrigerator in the bathroom and plug it in (it was too noisy in the room). The socket at the head of the bed was very loose after a long time. The plug often fell off when it was inserted. I booked a room with hot spring service, but it didn't specify that I had to bring my own swimming trunks. I needed to spend another 50 yuan to buy swimming trunks on site. In short, the service and facilities of your hotel need to be improved. In addition, a glass on the washstand was broken due to moving the refrigerator. I explained the situation to the front desk the next morning, and the front desk waiter was very reasonable and exempted from compensation. Thank you for this.

MMonica RadjiwanIt was a great stay in Peninsula Resort. Beautiful hotel with so many clay tennis court. Food was also good and fair price. Caoxi Temple is withing walking distance from the hotel. We experienced Budhist vegetarian lunch, was very nice and taste good. Big thanks to Edith Tan, she arranged everything we need during our stay. We’re surely will stay in Peninsula again if we visit Kunming.
