GGuest UserThe hotel butler contacted us a day in advance and added us on WeChat to send directions, which was very convenient for communication. The hotel facilities are complete, the bedding is comfortable, and the shower has great water pressure. There are eight breakfast sets in total: five are mainly rice noodles, one is noodles, one is congee, and one is pasta and sandwiches. The hotel is conveniently located; it's right next to Jinma Biji Square, a 500-meter walk to Kunming Old Street, and 1.2 kilometers to Cuihu Park.

GGuest UserI chose this hotel because it's close to the airport, as I had an early morning flight. They offer a free airport shuttle service, and I'd like to thank the driver who worked hard to drop me off at 4 AM. The room was quite spacious and featured smart amenities. The breakfast selection was limited, but the taste was decent, and they had freshly ground coffee.
I'm giving a low rating because on the day I checked in, the front desk told me that downloading a mini-program would upgrade me to a 'deluxe room.' As a frequent business traveler, I can usually tell the difference between room standards. The so-called deluxe room was very ordinary and located on a low floor facing the street. I asked to change rooms, but the other rooms I saw were similar to the 'deluxe' one, which gave me a bad first impression.
Most importantly, I didn't get a good night's sleep for either of the two nights I stayed due to poor soundproofing. On the first night, the neighbors were making a lot of noise, chatting and singing until midnight. My room didn't have a phone, so after contacting the front desk, they said they'd send someone over right away, but no one came to address the issue for a long time. I had to bang on the wall to get them to quiet down a bit. On the second night, the neighbors were still talking non-stop until very late, and the shops downstairs were playing music until midnight. I had to wake up at 4 AM the next day for my flight, but the noise kept me from sleeping well. It was a very bad stay, and I won't be coming back.

SShuijingxieI took my kids out for a vacation on May Day. The experience was five-star praise, and the service was very good. The environment was garden-style and very comfortable! The restaurant has a complete range of delicious dishes, and there is also a book bar and hot springs. A SPA was also given. It was a very good experience and I will come again if I have the chance. I will also recommend it to friends.

ZZYH0926I spent a few days touring Kunming and chose this hotel for my last night, and I was quite satisfied with the experience. It's right next to a subway station, which was convenient for my trip to Dounan Flower Market. The IELTS Restaurant on the 4th floor is very stylish, and the breakfast buffet was delicious. There's also a laundry room on the 11th floor. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit to Kunming.

GGuest UserThis hotel is right in the city center, making it super convenient for getting around and finding good food. The moment you walk in, you're greeted by an elegant fragrance. The decor has a classic feel, perhaps from 20 or 30 years ago, but it's incredibly well-maintained and refined. The front desk staff were also very welcoming and upgraded me to a suite. They even noticed I was holding a takeout bag and, without me saying a word, knew I wanted to throw it away – that was really thoughtful! I'll definitely consider staying here again next time I'm in Kunming.

GGuest UserThe room isn't huge, but it's spotless and very well-equipped. Even though it's located right in a pedestrian street, it's surprisingly quiet, so you can get a really good rest. The location is an absolute winner; it's super convenient to take the subway to Kunming Station, the airport, and Dounan Flower Market. Plus, you're practically at Jiubei Tower, making it perfect for exploring the old town anytime. Ideal for tourists!

The shuttle service to/from the South High-Speed Rail Station was excellent. Overall, the service was truly impeccable, and there are plenty of great dining options nearby. GGuest UserChoosing a hotel for a trip is always the hardest part, and after a long search on Trip.com, I finally settled on this newly opened Shangri-La hotel (opened in 2024). The moment I stepped out of the car, a young man immediately helped with my luggage, which was a warm welcome and a sign of excellent service. Isabel had already contacted me on WeChat a day in advance, asking about my needs and trying her best to accommodate them. She became my personal butler throughout my stay, always ready to answer any questions. The enthusiasm from Grace and Andy was the driving force behind my decision to extend my stay. Many of the hotel's facilities are thoughtfully designed, and the attention to detail truly shows the hotel's commitment to guest comfort. This will definitely be my go-to hotel whenever I'm in Kunming. On a side note, the hotel's breakfast, both in terms of ambiance and quality, truly lives up to its five-star reputation. This stay in Kunming perfectly capped off my Yunnan trip.
