Kunming Hotels with balcony

I travel a lot for work, so I've stayed in many hotels. I've been to Kunming countless times, and I stumbled upon this hotel with a really high rating. I honestly thought it might be a fake, so I just booked it to give it a try. To my surprise, it truly exceeded my expectations – definitely lives up to its reputation! I don't think I need to go into detail about the facilities and services; they're pretty much what you'd expect from a hotel in this price range. However, so many small details were perfectly executed! For example, the little toiletries provided at the sink really won this girl's heart. I slept in until noon, then went to the restaurant thinking I'd just grab a quick bite. But to my surprise, the selection of dishes hadn't diminished at all, even though it was getting close to the end of the mealtime. I absolutely love Yunnan cuisine; they can turn all sorts of weird and wonderful flowers and plants into delicious dishes. Everything looked so appetizing, and I just ate and watched my show – it felt just like being at home, haha. It's been ages since I last left a review; I used to be too lazy to write them. Now that I've written this much, I realize I've gone on and on, haha. As I was leaving, I casually mentioned how comfortable the pillows were. The butler said they sell them at the hotel and can even ship them, so I happily bought one to take home. Knowing I was heading to Dali next, the butler, a sweet-voiced lady, even gave me a lot of travel tips and recommendations as she escorted me to my ride. She was incredibly thoughtful. Overall, it was a really pleasant surprise! It's a shame I didn't have enough time for a travel photoshoot, missing out on some great photo opportunities. Next time, I'll make sure to get all those lost shots back!!

The location is incredibly convenient! It's just a 20-minute drive to the airport, and you can walk to MixC Shopping Mall and Donghua Farmers Market. Getting to Old Street takes only about 10 minutes by taxi, making it super easy to get around and explore. The room was spotless, and the facilities were clean and well-maintained. The soundproofing was much better than I expected. The staff were all so friendly and polite, always quick to help with any issues. The breakfast spread was also excellent, and the rice noodles were delicious. My stay was absolutely perfect!

The room was spacious, and we had a great night's sleep with the twin beds pushed together. The water park is right downstairs, and the indoor hot spring has water jet massages. The outdoor hot springs are a bit warmer and offer better air. It was really relaxing to soak after a tiring day of activities. My kids absolutely loved the park, and breakfast was quite varied. The hotel staff were all very polite. We ate dinner at the restaurant several times, and the food was consistently good. One time, we arrived after 2 PM and they still cooked up several delicious dishes for us. They even gave us a proper birthday cake, not just a small, token one, which was a very generous and nice touch. We had a great experience and would recommend it to friends.

Situated in a peaceful area just 100–200 meters from the Ethnic Yunnan Village Park (also known as the Ethnic Minority Nationalitys Park), it allowed us to easily explore this cultural gem during a day trip, an experience we highly recommend. At the same time, the homestay is surrounded by quiet shops and local markets, making it both convenient and serene. What truly set this place apart was the outstanding hospitality. From the moment we arrived at the airport, the hosts went out of their way to assist us, even arranging a Didi taxi to ensure we reached the homestay smoothly. Their kindness didn’t stop there, they helped us purchase tickets for cultural attractions, found an English-speaking guide when our Mandarin wasn’t sufficient, and took care of countless other details that made our stay effortless. A highlight of our experience was Miss Zhang’s traditional Yunnan tea ceremonies. These sessions were not only a delight for the senses but also a wonderful opportunity to learn about the unique qualities of Yunnan teas and the art of brewing them. The atmosphere was relaxed and intimate, often joined by the owners, which led to lively, hours-long conversations filled with laughter and stories. It was these moments that made us feel like we were among friends rather than guests. We enjoyed our stay so much that we’ve already booked the same room for our return in a week. We can’t wait to be back in this haven of warmth, culture, and comfort. Highly recommended for anyone seeking an authentic, memorable, and heartwarming experience in Kunming!

This hotel, with its beautiful courtyard, has a great design and an excellent location right on Kunming Old Street. It's very close to the old street entrance, so it wasn't a hassle to drag our luggage. The front desk staff were super enthusiastic, offering us fruit and even farewell gifts when we checked out. There's a tea shop on the ground floor called '櫄茶' (Chun Cha) which has delicious drinks (I tried the Black Truffle Rose Lychee) and good coffee. The owner mentioned they hand-picked the beans themselves and focus on a signature blend rather than many options. The staff also recommended Yunnan Dao Rice Noodles, which were so good my son ate them twice! My only minor issues were that the soundproofing wasn't great and the room I booked was a bit small, but overall, it was a very good experience.

This hotel has a great location, right next to the subway station. The rooftop terrace next to the gym offers a nice view of the outside, which is a good design touch. The hotel staff also have a good service attitude. We stayed in a family room, and overall it was decent. The only downsides were the bathroom curtain design, which wasn't very private, and one part of the toilet floor felt a bit uneven when stepped on. It would be helpful to have a sign in the shower indicating which tap is for hot water. Other than that, everything was good overall~

It's rare to find a hotel that truly feels like a home away from home, but Bolian Hot Spring Resort certainly does! First, let's talk about the service. We stayed during the off-season, so there weren't many staff around, but you could still feel the warmth and professionalism from everyone, from our butler Dashi to the restaurant, hot springs, and front desk staff. The front desk staff even multi-tasked, making us tea and driving us to our room. Their professional training was evident throughout our stay. Even though the hotel has been open for twenty years, it doesn't feel old or dated at all. Every corner of the hotel is picturesque, and the hot springs are fantastic. The courtyard in our room was breathtakingly beautiful. To our pleasant surprise, the restaurant's food was delicious, with excellent Yunnan cuisine. We will definitely be back again. The hotel also provided complimentary executive car airport transfers and vouchers that could be used for dining or spa services at the hotel, which was a very nice touch.

This hostel in Kunming offers incredible value for money! The common areas are huge, and the terrace view is absolutely stunning. It's so comfortable to sunbathe during the day and enjoy the breeze at night. The place is cleaned very diligently, and the bedding is fresh and odorless. The staff at the front desk are all super enthusiastic and proactively recommend local snacks and travel routes. As a solo traveler, I felt completely safe and secure here!

The hotel's location is fantastic! There's a wide variety of local snacks nearby, like small-pot rice noodles, milk fans, and flower cakes – you can enjoy all sorts of Yunnanese flavors anytime. The rooms are spacious and airy, the environment is comfortable, and it's a one-stop shop for everything from food to fun. Lori at the front desk even knows her food – she recommended several must-try dishes when we checked in, and we loved them all!

Great location! very close to the metro and railway station. we arrived very late in kunming, the staff kindly waited for us, which we really appreciated. the room was clean and had all basic aminities. overall, fine for short stay.
