Qizi&boboHotel Paperman was absolutely perfect in every detail! It's the kind of place where you just need to bring your clothes and you're all set. 🏨 The toiletries were high-quality, and they even provided facial cleansing towels, mouthwash, bath bags, and bath salts for the tub. There wasn't a single item in the room that required extra payment. The service was absolutely fantastic! I was very happy with the room – a high bed with soft pillows, a Marshall speaker, and the view from the 31st floor was stunning. You get to admire the city up close and the beautiful Dianchi Lake in the distance. [Wow] The butler service was incredibly, incredibly amazing! They helped with transfers and luggage, provided clear directions, and responded quickly. The entire hotel environment and room design were completely to my aesthetic taste, I loved it! They even sent a beautiful welcome flower basket. This trip was a bit rushed, and I didn't get to fully enjoy the hotel. Next time, I definitely need to stay for a few more days. I must support this place!!!

-ElmiraI always stay at this hotel when I come to Kunming; I'm a loyal customer. This time, the male staff member at the front desk provided excellent service – he was enthusiastic, attentive, and very patient. He proactively helped me switch to a more suitable room, considering my needs, and made the check-in process efficient and thoughtful, which made me feel incredibly welcome. The hotel is clean and tidy, and the overall service and environment are impeccable. It offers great value for money, and I had a very comfortable stay. Also, I discovered the coffee at the entrance is quite good.

HuiyalanI stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. I was quite hesitant before choosing it, especially after reading about the negative elevator incident, which made me really worry about safety. So, every time I took the elevator during my stay, I was on edge. The main reason I decided to stay was for the hot springs and swimming pool, as it's been raining a lot in Kunming recently, and I figured we'd just enjoy the hotel. Honestly, I wasn't particularly impressed with the service, and the facilities are quite old, very old. If it weren't for the constant rain and traveling with a child, I probably wouldn't have chosen this hotel. Especially after visiting Fuxian Lake, the comparison really highlighted its shortcomings.

**A Home Away from Home in Kunming**
Our stay at this homestay in Kunming was truly exceptional. The room was a perfect blend of tradition and modernity, thoughtfully designed with minimalist accessories that perfectly matched our taste. Cozy and inviting, it offered a sense of warmth and comfort that made us feel at home instantly. The view of the lake from our window added a touch of magic to our mornings and evenings.
The location is simply ideal. Situated in a peaceful area just 100–200 meters from the Ethnic Yunnan Village Park (also known as the Ethnic Minority Nationalitys Park), it allowed us to easily explore this cultural gem during a day trip, an experience we highly recommend. At the same time, the homestay is surrounded by quiet shops and local markets, making it both convenient and serene.
What truly set this place apart was the outstanding hospitality. From the moment we arrived at the airport, the hosts went out of their way to assist us, even arranging a Didi taxi to ensure we reached the homestay smoothly. Their kindness didn’t stop there, they helped us purchase tickets for cultural attractions, found an English-speaking guide when our Mandarin wasn’t sufficient, and took care of countless other details that made our stay effortless.
A highlight of our experience was Miss Zhang’s traditional Yunnan tea ceremonies. These sessions were not only a delight for the senses but also a wonderful opportunity to learn about the unique qualities of Yunnan teas and the art of brewing them. The atmosphere was relaxed and intimate, often joined by the owners, which led to lively, hours-long conversations filled with laughter and stories. It was these moments that made us feel like we were among friends rather than guests.
We enjoyed our stay so much that we’ve already booked the same room for our return in a week. We can’t wait to be back in this haven of warmth, culture, and comfort.
Highly recommended for anyone seeking an authentic, memorable, and heartwarming experience in Kunming!

WhatdetiannaThis is by far the hotel with the most meticulous service I've ever stayed at.
First of all, the hotel's location is excellent; the Wuyi Road subway station is right outside. There's also a mall and restaurants nearby, and it's not far from Kunming Old Street.
The room has a Xiaodu smart assistant, which is very convenient. The bed's comfort level suited me well, though the bathroom and shower area were a bit small. The hygiene conditions were good.
The service was indeed meticulous and hit all the right notes. We received welcome fruits upon check-in, and requests were responded to promptly. The young man at the front desk upgraded our room type during check-in. Our room, located towards the back, was also very quiet.
I left my power bank at the front desk, and when I went to retrieve it, the young lady at the front desk already had it ready for me – that was truly wonderful, haha! Also, I bought flowers from Dounan Flower Market and asked the front desk for a vase; they happily provided one, and I placed the flowers nicely on my bedside table. This really provided immense emotional value.
As for breakfast, there were local specialties like rice noodles, sweet soup dumplings with bean paste, and regular noodles. Other Chinese items like small fried dough sticks weren't as good as those in the North. There was also fried rice, stir-fried dishes, rice porridge with pickles, bread, coffee, fruits, and desserts – quite a rich spread.

It's rare to find a hotel that truly feels like a home away from home, but Bolian Hot Spring Resort certainly does!
First, let's talk about the service. We stayed during the off-season, so there weren't many staff around, but you could still feel the warmth and professionalism from everyone, from our butler Dashi to the restaurant, hot springs, and front desk staff. The front desk staff even multi-tasked, making us tea and driving us to our room. Their professional training was evident throughout our stay.
Even though the hotel has been open for twenty years, it doesn't feel old or dated at all. Every corner of the hotel is picturesque, and the hot springs are fantastic. The courtyard in our room was breathtakingly beautiful.
To our pleasant surprise, the restaurant's food was delicious, with excellent Yunnan cuisine.
We will definitely be back again.
The hotel also provided complimentary executive car airport transfers and vouchers that could be used for dining or spa services at the hotel, which was a very nice touch.

Guest UserThe location is fantastic, right in the city center, making it incredibly convenient for shopping and dining. The room was spotlessly clean, and the bed was tidy. The biggest surprise was the amazing atmosphere in the common areas, with a terrace, bar, and restaurant – perfect for chatting with travelers from all over the world in the evening. The staff were super friendly and patiently helped resolve any issues. It's highly recommended for backpackers, solo travelers, and small study groups. Great value for money, I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Kunming!

TinkSPBeautiful hotel. Bed was comfortable with full pillow selection! Bathroom had separate shower and bath tub. It is connected to a mall and easy walk to alot of wonderful food and shopping which was helpful when it was raining. We truly appreciated the desk staff. My husband had left an item on the train. They contacted the station on our behalf and helped to find it and arrange for us to pick it up. This was only a connection to our next destination but it was a welcomed stop. Definitely explore! We found the most wonderful bakery by walking aimlessly while enjoying the city views.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at 26 Life hotel thank to the staffs and its location.
What we like most here:
1. Staff: Xiao Bai and Xiao Wan, the 2 receptionists are lovely guys. Xiao Bai pick us up outside of the buiding to help us with the luggage. He is also professional in handling his work. he seems a bit serious on his face but once you know him, he is a nice guy. Xiao Wan is a lovely young boy. We talked a lot, he made us yummy milk tea, bought for us ice crea, fruit tea....and gave us some sourvenir. They are the ones made my stay here. Thank you guys! Moreover the hotel staffs also helped to received a package for me before my check in.
2. Location: it locates on the 4th floor of a building. It has a good location, where we can access easily to the shopping mall, the food stores. There is a small food court on the ground floor of the same building. The 1st store after the stair case once you enter the building sells pretty good noodles.
3. The balcony: my room is 201, with a balcony overlooking the garden on the ground and an open space to the big building in front, which gave us a peaceful corner to sit and talk and enjoy the nice spring weather.
4. The costume: the hotel offers free Miao costume to wear and take photo inside the hotel. Xiao Wan, the receptionist also help to take soem nice photos for us.
What should be improved:
1. The cleanliness: the room facilities were a bit old but the cleanliness is definitely something can be changed and improved: like the table in the balcony, which should have been clean the surface.
2. The amenities: the big bath towels are torn out at the 2 edges. They can be reused as footmat or rag to recycle. New bath towel should be seriously considered.
3. The TV: A slow internet connection is causing the TV to stutter and lag, making it impossible to watch.making it not enjoyable to watch.
