Hotels in Chenggong New District/South High-Speed Railway Station, Kunming

The front desk service was excellent, and the owner was very welcoming. Although the room wasn't huge, it had smart voice control and everything you could need. The bathroom had a great wet/dry separation, and the shower head was fantastic. With a subway station and Wanda Plaza nearby, it's very convenient for dining and getting around by metro.

This hotel was truly exceptional, even among the great ones I stayed at during my trip. The service was outstanding; I was genuinely surprised when the restaurant staff asked about my taste preferences and adjusted dishes accordingly. The room was also spotless, and the view from the window was absolutely stunning. But seriously, the service, the service was just superb!

A surprisingly wonderful hotel on my trip. The overall environment is simple yet elegant, and the soundproofing is excellent, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The room facilities are complete and well-maintained, and the cleanliness is meticulously handled. The front desk staff were patient and attentive, proactively offering local sightseeing routes, and responded promptly to any requests. The surrounding area has excellent dining options. Overall, the value for money exceeded my expectations. I felt comfortable and at ease during my stay, and I genuinely recommend it to everyone.

The room layout was well-designed, stylishly decorated, spacious, bright, and comfortable. Since I stayed for eight days, I received a complimentary upgrade to a south-facing room. I've previously stayed at Mengjing hotels in Xishuangbanna and downtown Kunming, and I've always been impressed by their focus on service and hygiene. That's why I chose Mengjing again this time. The breakfast was a bit limited, but it was enough to fill me up and tasted good. The cook also kept the area very clean. Although the central air conditioning in each room could be individually adjusted, it wasn't very effective. The front desk staff kindly provided me with an electric heater, which solved my heating issue. The young lady at the front desk was consistently polite and helpful. I'm very grateful for her assistance during my stay. While the hotel aims for good value for money, I hope they can improve the overall comfort. Due to the affordable price, many guests with less desirable etiquette also stay here. There was smoking everywhere, loud conversations in the hallway until 2 or 3 AM, and a general disregard for others. Additionally, the soundproofing isn't as good as an apartment, so I was often woken up in the middle of the night. It seems the hotel is struggling to address this issue.

I mentioned wanting to try a suite next time, and Eric Chen Linhao offered to take some photos for me so I could book it directly if I liked what I saw. He then pulled out his phone and scrolled through his album, explaining which floors had better views and which orientations were quieter. The front desk at Four Points by Sheraton Chenggong isn't about upselling; they're all about making sure you have the most comfortable stay possible.

The room was spacious, perfect for our family of three with three suitcases – we didn't feel cramped at all. The air conditioning was excellent, the bed was very comfortable, and the bedding was cozy. The environment was also quite quiet, so we had a great rest. I checked into Atour Hotel yesterday and unfortunately left my electric toothbrush in the room when I checked out today. I only realized it was missing after I had left, which made me quite anxious. To my pleasant surprise and delight, the hotel staff quickly found my lost item during their room check and proactively contacted me to confirm the details. They then thoughtfully arranged for it to be mailed back to me, and I received it in a short amount of time. Throughout this process, the front desk staff demonstrated exceptional professionalism and a strong service mindset. They handled the issue efficiently and attentively, making me truly feel 'at home' with their genuine care and concern. In today's fast-paced society, such meticulous service is truly rare and much appreciated. I would also like to commend the front desk staff on duty that day: Douya, Yunshu, and Xiyu.

A fantastic hotel I randomly picked for a business trip – a must-stay for five stars! The room was spacious and airy, all amenities were new, and it was clean and odor-free. The bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a very restful sleep. The bathroom had a separate shower and toilet area, which was super convenient. The surrounding area is a lively commercial district, and you can easily take an evening stroll to the nearby park for relaxation. I pre-booked the free shuttle service from the South Railway Station, which was thoughtful and hassle-free. My business trip experience was top-notch – highly recommended!

Kunming was the third stop on our early summer 2026 self-driving tour of Southeast Yunnan, and we chose to stay at the Vienna International Hotel (Kunming South Railway Station Municipal Government Branch). The hotel's location is excellent, with convenient transportation and easy parking. The service was warm and attentive; immediately after check-in and getting to our room, they thoughtfully asked if we were satisfied with the room and if there was anything else we needed, which was very heartwarming. The hotel environment is lovely; the room was spacious, comfortable, and tidy, with complete facilities. The bed was large and comfortable, and the bathroom was big with a separate wet and dry area. The dining environment was pleasant, and the food was abundant and delicious. In short, the Vienna International Hotel (Kunming South Railway Station Municipal Government Branch) is a worthwhile choice!

This stay was incredibly satisfying, easily the best experience of my trip to Kunming. After booking, the front desk called to ask about my room preferences and proactively informed me about travel time and cost from the airport. Check-in was smooth; one staff member handled the registration while another, upon learning I was a tourist, introduced me to nearby attractions. I had dinner outside and visited Luolong Park as they suggested. I've truly never seen such double-petal cherry blossoms anywhere else. Getting back to the hotel took only about 7-8 minutes. What touched me most was when I casually mentioned to the front desk that I felt a bit lightheaded, perhaps due to altitude sickness. Ten minutes later, their duty manager called my room and even sent up fruit and Tremella soup – incredibly thoughtful. The room itself was excellent; all the facilities were new and spotlessly clean, the kind where you can comfortably walk barefoot. You could see Luolong Lake from the window, though the weather in Kunming hasn't been great these past couple of days, so Dian Lake wasn't very clear. Overall, this stay was wonderful, thanks to the lovely staff and the soft, fragrant bedding. My trip ended perfectly. If I ever return to Kunming, I'll definitely stay at this hotel again.
