Excellent

We stayed at Kunming Dongfeng Plaza Beijing Road Atour Light Hotel and it was a really good experience. The location is super convenient and getting around the city was easy. There are shops and food places all around, so we never had to walk far for anything. The staff were kind and always helpful. They made everything simple for us and the check in was fast. It felt welcoming from the start. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was soft and we slept very well. The big window with natural light made the room feel warm and relaxing. The TV, desk, and small fridge were all useful and everything worked without any issues. The bathroom was very clean and the shower had great pressure. The amenities were good too. You can tell the hotel takes care of its rooms. The whole place feels calm and well maintained. Even the hallway looked clean and fresh every time we passed through. Overall we enjoyed our stay here. Good location, good service, and a comfortable room. We would stay again.

I had an early morning flight scheduled out of Kunming International Airport. I wanted to ensure that I didn’t miss the flight and this hotel is conveniently located on level 2 of the airport with the departures located 1 level above. I was greeted politely by staff that didn’t speak English, but they used a translator app and we were able to communicate the necessary information. The room was around the corner from check-in. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom had all the necessities. If you need a reasonably priced hotel near the airport this is a good choice.

The rooms were clean, and the overall ambiance was great. The staff was friendly, and the location was convenient for exploring the area. It's within walking distance as the hotel is close to shopping centre and dining options. There are a few halal restaurants just a few minutes' walk from the inn. Especially, at halal street beside the mosque. Additionally, In front of the hotel, there are so many electric bicycles to rent. Overall, it was a good experience, and I appreciate the hospitality.

I recently spent two nights at this accommodation, and while there were not many foreigners around, I still found it to be a decent experience. Upon arrival, I received a coupon, which was a nice touch, but I found that the minimum spending requirement made it less useful for solo travelers like myself. I had requested a bottom bunk but ended up with a top one, and I found the bed to be quite hard. However, the provided curtains added a nice level of privacy. On the plus side, they offer lockers, towels, and slippers, which is convenient. The bathroom, however, could use a bit more attention as it needed cleaning, and I noticed that the shower had a leak. Overall, considering the price, I can't really complain too much. The staff at the front desk were friendly and spoke English, which made communication easy. Just a heads-up: there are two flights of stairs, and you'll need to walk through the restaurant/bar area to access the lift to the rooms. All in all, it’s a budget-friendly option that meets basic needs!

Conveniently located if one is going to Stone Forest as it is within 30 min drive vs staying at Kunming centre. The hotel is newly renovated in Jun/Jul 2023. Place is clean, modern with lift. Bed is comfortable. WiFi is good. Breakfast adequate but not fantastic. Most important it is really value for money. The pathway to the rooms smell cigarettes. Fortunately, our rooms are cigarette smell free.
