Location is very strategic and only 15 minutes walk from Nanqiang night market. If you're taking a cab, you can inform them to pick you up from the kfc which is just 1-2 minutes walk from the hotel. Beside the hotel is a big banyan tree and there's a steamboat shop nearby which is crowded at night. The rooms were very clean and the staff were super helpful all the time and tried their best in making sure we had the most comfortable stay especially when the weather is so cold.

The staff are very accommodating. Our flight at 1:00am but check in was at 14:00 and we were very late. The staff were really friendly and efficient with the checking in process. The 2 receptionist spoke English. The room is spacious with great amenities and Dyson hair dryer. Water and rose moon cakes were provided on upon our welcome. The AC is great, the shower water pressure is amazing. The bed is comfy and the pillows are to great. The breakfast is good and the best part is that it’s open from 7:30am -12midday. I couldn’t believe it myself! The food is good with a range of rice porridge, fresh fruit, noodles, boiled eggs, fried eggs, bacon, youtiao (dough stick bread), vegetables, cereal and a range of desserts. They have a selection of coffee, tea and juices. There’s also a self service laundry area and open roof top area with a pool.

We had 4 pax and the Hollywood room had a US King size bed and sofa bed to sleep comfortably. Room is spacious as well. Hotel staff was friendly. Laundry room available for free. Huge mall opposite the hotel which host a wide variety of restaurants. Will stay again if in Kunming.

The room design is reasonable and practical, suitable for large families to stay. The two suites are connected and do not interfere with each other. The large bathtub is comfortable to take a bath, relieving travel fatigue. The hotel thoughtfully arranges bathtub isolation bags, which are safe and hygienic. The breakfast is also quite rich, with my favorite purple sweet potato milk tea, etc. The hotel is in a good location, convenient to the high-speed rail station and the airport, and close to the old street and Cuihu Park in the central city, about 10-20 minutes by car. Recommend friends who come to Kunming for tourism to stay.

We booked the Derung room for our stint in Kunming and was blown away by the service. We were celebrating my birthday and my boyfriend wanted to get the hotel staff to help deliver a bouquet since we don’t have local phone numbers, but the staff took the initiative to buy a bouquet of roses on his behalf at no charge instead. The room was beautiful and clean as well! The hotel is also located within walking distance from all key attractions in Kunming, like Kunming Old Street and Nanqiang Pedestrian Street. The perfect stay for first timers to Kunming/Yunnan ☺️
Would note that as the hotel is located in the heart of the city centre cars cannot drop you off directly at the doorstep - do make arrangements prior with the front desk and let them know what time you’re arriving.

I was really taken advantage of by the Dianchi Right Bank Lakeside Resort Hotel!
I have always wanted to find a high-end boutique hotel by the Dianchi Lake to relax and unwind. I discovered this newly opened five-star high-end homestay hotel on Ctrip. It was truly an unforgettable stay.
As soon as you step into the hotel, you can feel the quiet and high-end atmosphere. Every detail of the wabi-sabi aesthetic design shows taste and is full of artistic sense. The hotel's environment, facilities and services are impeccable. It is definitely a great choice for a relaxing vacation!
The room is high-end and elegant, and is very exquisitely decorated. The texture of the furniture is great, the sofa is lazy and comfortable, and the bedding is soft, making you not want to get up once you lie down on it. The beautiful view of Dianchi Lake outside the floor-to-ceiling windows seems to have moved the entire scenery of the lake and mountains into the room. When you wake up in the morning, you can see the sparkling lake, and your mood is instantly healed.
The hotel’s infinity pool is a great photo opportunity, and my friends’ circle has been flooded with my photos! In the evening, sit by the pool, watch the sunset, feel the breeze, and immerse yourself in tranquility and beauty.
I was also impressed by the hotel's breakfast. The variety is rich and varied, including both local specialties and various Western dishes. The ingredients are fresh and the taste is very good. It is such a pleasant feeling to have breakfast by the window, admire the lake view outside the window, taste delicious food and start a beautiful day.

Facilities: To be honest, it may be a shop opened eight or nine years ago, the facilities are obviously old, the supporting facilities in the room are slightly poor, the bathing equipment is old, the shower is turned on and water is sprayed in all directions to the west, and the water temperature is hot and cold. There is basically no other place to sit except the bed, which is really not in line with the B&B at this price.
Hygiene: The room hygiene is average. If you accidentally open the drawer, there will be food garbage left by the previous guest. Other than that, it is quite clean.
Environment: It was rebuilt on the basis of the original Japan Pavilion in the World Expo Park. The atmosphere of daily life is good and relatively quiet.
Service: The B&B brother will help with the luggage, greet warmly, and introduce the room facilities. Since the hotel meals must be booked in advance, you can only order takeout, and the front desk butler will help deliver it to the room. There is a private hot spring in the room, with petals and milk. The petal milk bath relaxes the mood and body. This is a place worth praising.

Excellent service from a top class hotel. Most notable were service staff Suri and Jason when we arrived early in the morning, tired from a long flight. They were flexible in terms of early check-in availability and helping us settled in quickly. Also special mention to Luffy and his colleagues who sorted out our WiFi connectivity issues even after his working hours. Facilities like the gym, indoor swimming pool were great, as you would expect from a Sofitel. All in our family enjoyed our stay very much.

GGuest UserThis hotel locates at one of the best location in Kunming. Right across the street, there's a beautiful lake called Emerald Lake (Cui Hu). There are a lot of seagulls in the winter and is a major attraction.
My room has a view of the lake, and I could have a cup of coffee under the sunshine watching the lake and the people exercising or just having fun near the lake. Unfortunately I arranged too many sightseeing activities for this trip that I didn't have a chance for that.
The staff here are wonderful: friendly, courteous, and resourceful, and answered all my questions as quickly as possible. The breakfast provided with my booking is wonderful as well. There are Western-styled food (continental breakfast), Chinese food, and local delicacies. I thoroughly enjoyed the local food.

GGuest UserWanted a special place for some relaxing time together. Do not want to try the usual hotel in the city. After going through the photos, decided to give it a try. And voila….. absolutely no regrets choosing this hotel. The service provided was top notch, the staff are friendly, courteous and prompt. Housekeeping staff always clean up the villa to a level which I had no way to complain. Always willing to go the extra miles in providing personal services to the guests. The Villa I booked had a private hot spring and a huge garden which had the best view in my opinion. Every evening, we are able to watch the sunset in our private garden. It was really out of this world, couples must definitely try it. Everyday the hotel will provide a fruit basket and top up the bar counter with drinks and snacks at no costs. The ever-friendly staff (Miss Lee) even told me to let her know if there are any fruits I would like, she would arrange to fill it up in the fruit basket. She even check with me a few times if there are anything she could do to improve the stay with the hotel. Kudos to the management team for instilling this high service standard. Miss Lee even contacted me after I check out to ask for my feedback. Keep up the wonderful work. I will definitely be back. For this trip is filled with so much wonderful memories. Thanks to the team.

YYongdeInterContinental hotel locates near Kunming's DianChi - 滇池 within walking distance. The hotel resort is relatively huge and it took me quite a while from my room to the lobby.
So if you hate walking, this maybe something you need to consider. Furthermore, the room facilities are kind out of date especially the toilet which is a minus compared with other 6-star hotel. The restaurant especially the Chinese restaurant is not where you would get local Yunnan flavor, so avoid it if possible.
In general, this is a resort hotel which is much better than any of the resort hotels I have visited in the West Coast of US. So I would still recommend it for anyone visiting Kunming, China.

The garden was enchanting and beautiful and I particularly love the roses.The breakfast was nice at an affordable price. The lady chef was exceptionally friendly too. The hotel manager was very friendly and allowed us to pick their apples at their garden.The only thing lacking was the amenities. Not easy to find a decent place to shop in our spare time. Highly recommended!👍

XXiaodeshimeihaodeThe room was very clean, the terrace overlooks the golf course, there is an outdoor hot spring on the third floor, and swimsuits are available for sale at affordable prices. The cordyceps flower and matsutake meatball soup in the restaurant downstairs is good, and the overall cost performance is high. The battery is just across the road, and the location is excellent. The downside is that the house is not soundproof, and the upstairs shouting in the middle of the night affected my sleep. On the second night, the upstairs or the neighbor turned on the TV at 4 o'clock.

GGuest UserI saw someone else's post on a certain book^ and booked this room. The room was really spacious, clean and hygienic. The front desk lady was also very friendly. She would call you in advance if you had to catch a flight the next day~ The bed was comfortable to sleep in and it was close to the airport. It was really a good deal to stay in this room at this price, great🎊

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! Although I forgot to take photos of the room, I can confidently say it was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The hotel itself is lovely, and the staff were incredibly nice and welcoming throughout our stay.
One of the best parts is its convenient location – it’s within walking distance to a halal food area, which was perfect for us.
Overall, this hotel offers great value, excellent service, and a fantastic location. Highly recommended!

GGuest UserThe triple room I stayed in was clean and hygienic. Although it is far from the city, the environment is really good. It is a good place for tourism. The hotel also provides free parking and breakfast. The attitude of the service staff is also very good. I will come again if I have the chance.
