"A wonderful hideaway for a hot spring getaway. The private courtyard comes with its own hot tub, or you can switch things up and use the public pools. In the evenings, you can catch a stunning sunset, and the Ancient Dian Kingdom Museum is right across the way. The villa's amenities are top-notch, and it's very clean, even including a private sauna. There weren't any bugs this season, which made it a super comfortable and relaxing spot for a few friends to unwind. The breakfast and dinner at the mountaintop restaurant are both excellent, and they do Western dishes really well too!"

"The hotel's location is excellent, with direct access to Nanping Pedestrian Street, Kunming Old Street, and Jinma Biji Archway right downstairs. It's also a 5-minute walk to the subway station, and a 10-minute taxi ride to Green Lake Park and the Yunnan Military Academy. The surrounding area is packed with local snacks and long-standing eateries. The rooms are well-equipped, spacious, and bright, with clean, separate wet and dry bathrooms and automatic toilets. The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety, including freshly made Yunnan rice noodles, *rubing* (a type of cheese), flower pastries, and other local specialties, as well as Western options like cheese, coffee, and pastries, providing a great blend of Chinese and Western choices. The service was warm and courteous; staff even proactively recommended local delicacies, and the concierge kindly helped with our luggage. We also received complimentary fruit."

"I'm on my way to Mile right now, taking a break to write this review! This is the first time I've ever felt compelled to give a hotel a positive review, mainly because Ms. Bianca's service was absolutely amazing! The day before we arrived, she proactively contacted us to ask about our needs. When she learned we were traveling with a baby, and since the hotel couldn't provide a bed rail, she upgraded our room and arranged for two beds to be pushed together. Every evening before we returned to the hotel, there was turn-down service, with water replenished, and the room was cleaned twice a day, so it was always spotless and tidy when we got back – it truly made us feel great! For deliveries and takeout, after contacting the hotel, the concierge would bring them directly to our room; the service was incredibly attentive! They never seemed bothered and always greeted us with a smile. We rented an electric car after landing in Kunming, and there are charging stations in the underground parking at Spring City 66, very close to the hotel! The freshly baked flower pastries at breakfast were absolutely divine! Better than any I've bought elsewhere!!! The latte art in the coffee was so therapeutic! I travel frequently for business and leisure, and I've stayed in many five-star hotels, but I've only seen latte art at breakfast once before, at a hotel in Singapore! They also had freshly made Eggs Benedict! Our child loved the colorful glutinous rice – the chicken noodle soup was just so-so. When our child vomited in the middle of the night, we contacted room service, and they changed the sheets and duvet covers very quickly! At 3 AM, we took our child to the nearby Kunming Children's Hospital, where he was diagnosed with acute gastroenteritis and put on an IV drip. I contacted Bianca to ask if we could have a late checkout. The front desk had initially said 2 PM, but Bianca, considering our little one hadn't slept all night, proactively offered to extend it to 4 PM! This gave us ample time to rest and pack. Being in a different city with a sick child and experiencing such thoughtful service truly made us feel grateful! We will definitely stay at the Grand Hyatt again next time we're in Kunming! "This hotel boasts an excellent location, directly across from Cuihu Lake. You can easily walk to Kunming Old Street, the Yunnan Military Academy, and the former site of the National Southwestern Associated University. It's a peaceful retreat right in the heart of the city! The staff were very welcoming and friendly. I especially want to highlight the breakfast – it was incredibly rich and diverse, a perfect blend of Western and Chinese dishes. They even provided complimentary welcome fruit!"

"The location is pretty good, close to Plaza 66, about an 8-minute walk. The hotel's concierge service was good; staff were always there to greet us multiple times when we entered and exited. We booked connecting rooms, but they were externally connected, not internally. This made it inconvenient, especially when the kids were asleep, as the sound of swiping the card to enter the room was quite loud. So, it wasn't ideal. The room was too small; the bathroom and shower were cramped together, and there wasn't enough space to turn around. It felt very restrictive. Breakfast was just average. Not many varieties, but the quality was decent. The freshly squeezed juice was watered down, and the watermelon juice wasn't good. Overall, I didn't really feel like there was much service."

"The only good thing about this stay was Mila at the front desk, who was very welcoming and helpful. Everything else was a disappointment. We booked a suite, and here are the issues: 1. The cleanliness was poor. There was dust and lint all over the headboard. 2. We found hair from previous guests everywhere. 3. The water pressure was very low, and the hot water was only lukewarm, not hot enough for kids to wash properly. 4. Service response was slow. It took a long time for items to be delivered after calling the front desk. 5. Breakfast was mediocre. The coffee was extremely weak. When we gave feedback to a staff member, their response was, 'Weak? It's still weak? We find it so bitter we don't even dare to drink it...' I don't think that's the kind of service attitude one should have."

"I stayed for 5 days in total, here are my thoughts: The hotel is beautiful, every corner is meticulously designed and heavily invested, exuding the aesthetics of 1956. It's definitely worth experiencing. It's also great for photos. Although some details in the room are a bit old and the facilities are somewhat average, the overall ambiance outweighs these shortcomings, so it's still a worthwhile choice. The service was also very attentive and excellent. The fruit platter in the room was replenished daily with various seasonal fruits, which was a thoughtful touch. In the evening, they would deliver things like white fungus soup (though we didn't drink it), but it left a very good impression. The butler was also very professional and accommodated all our needs. The pool was clean, and the longer we stayed over the 5 days, the more comfortable it became. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Kunming. Additionally, I have some personal suggestions for improvement: 1. There are too few non-smoking twin rooms. We were involuntarily assigned to a smoking floor (10th floor), which they claimed had been treated to remove smoke odors. However, for the first two days, there was still a strange smell of smoke mixed with old carpet, an indescribable odor, which made it difficult to sleep well. It was quite bothersome. I hope more non-smoking floors can be added, and that room odors are thoroughly dealt with. The carpets could also be cleaned more frequently. 2. The shower is located inside the bathtub. Even with a shower curtain, water would inevitably flow over the edge of the tub, leaving the entire bathroom floor wet after showering. This was very inconvenient. We had to use towels to block the edge of the tub each time we showered, which helped a little, but water still escaped. I hope there's a way to improve this. 3. The wall near the room entrance has a thick, leather-like texture, but the surface is aged, with many pieces of the outer layer peeling off and flaking. I hope this can be improved. 4. Overall cleanliness still has room for improvement. When we first checked in, there were many water stains on the bathroom mirror! 5. The breakfast was generally delicious, but compared to other 4- and 5-star hotels, it lacked stir-fried rice and stir-fried noodles. I hope more stir-fried dishes can be added. Not everyone likes rice noodles, and if you don't eat them, the other main course options are quite limited. 6. There's no swimsuit spin dryer in the changing rooms by the pool, and the pool doesn't have lane dividers. These are points that I feel could be improved."

The entire stay was hassle-free, and I didn't encounter any issues. The price was also very reasonable, offering great value for money. It was a very enjoyable stay. I've saved this place and will definitely choose it again for future trips, and I highly recommend it to everyone for a worry-free booking."
