Family friendly Hotels in Kunming

Room was clean and tidy. Not too big, but still comfortable to stay in. There are 2 sides to the room, 1 bed nearer to the first part of the room near the lobby door (Aircon ventilation does not blow towards this direction) and 2 beds nearer to the bathroom side of the room. The room's windows were later discovered to be strangely left ajar when we started detecting stench of cigarette smoke coming in from these windows. Potential guests,do take note to check for any ajar windows when you check into the room and close them promptly if you cannot withstand cig smoke like us. The stench stayed around at the side of the room with no aircon vent. Hotel staff, pls also do remember to close the windows after servicing / cleaning the rooms.

My family recently had the pleasure of staying at the Babymoon Hotel in Kunming Old Street, and I am thoroughly impressed! Their hospitality exceeded all my expectations. The room was impeccably clean, setting a new standard for my experiences in China. The staff were incredibly helpful and responsive, always ready to go the extra mile to assist. The hotel's location is perfect, with shopping and eateries just a short walk away. I highly recommend staying at the Babymoon Hotel if you're visiting Kunming. You won't be disappointed!

This hotel is simply unique. first of all the decor is beautiful, traditional chinese with a modern twist. The staff are extremely attentive and always helpful. They helped with any queries very quickly, attended to our laundry requests very quickly and never fails to serve up an awesome breakfast. OMG the breakfast - beats any 5 star hotel hands down. the simplicity and ”home cooked” food is stunning. Then attention they put into it is outstanding. The rooms are very comfortable too - but because it is in a old building the walls are not too thick. I love the location. it is not in the central shopping and eating area but it is only about a 5 to 7 mins walk away. Around the hotel there is also plenty of good food. Highly recommended. I will be back.

I am writing to share our gratitude following our recent stay at Novotel Kunming City Center. We were delighted to discover the hotel’s modern facilities and fresh ambiance, which certainly contributed to a memorable experience. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our stay. In particular, I would like to extend a special thank you to Noya for going above and beyond to assist us. Her knowledge and recommendations for local attractions greatly enriched our visit. Additionally, we appreciated the hotel’s convenient location near the MRT and shopping center, making our exploration of the area effortless. Thank you once again for a wonderful stay. We look forward to visiting Novotel Kunming City Center again in the future.

1 night stay at spacious 2 double beds room. Each bed can fit 2 medium sized adults. 2 beds fit 4 adults. 30mins smooth ride from Kunming Changshui International Airport. Centrally located. Huge clean beautiful hotel. Reach hotel abt 9am and hotel reception was very kind and helpful. Staff can converse simple English. I was lucky they allow early check in. Wifi strength in hotel is low so you will need to have prep your own data arrangement from ur country. Tv channels are limited to chinese programmes. No netflix. Room view is city and the surrounding building light up at night. Night view is nice. We left the window open as outside air is more cooling. Its december and temp is mostly 10deg and below. Generally no bidets in toilets in China. No halal food in hotel. But just 20mins walk along Nanping Pedestrian street you can find halal food at the muslim community near Shuncheng street. Theres also an acient mosque called Shuncheng Mosque. PreBook trip.com airport transfer at 50sgd. Big 6 seater mpv. Driver assigned was professional and very punctual. Hassle free and highly recomend.

Hotel ammenties are good and the room is spacious. . Hotel is located very close to train station. Hotel staff are very friendly. Hotel staff Mr Jesse helped me with Tour arrangements and he communicated promptly. Really appreciate that. The buffet breakfast is good with a wide selection. The staff always offered to make coffee for me when I stepped into the restaurant. Highly recommended hotel stay for all.

Value for money, modern 4-star hotel located in center location and near to metro station, it is just opposite MIXC Mall which is an upper class shopping mall. The room is comfortable and breakfast is wide variety and delicious. The hotel is also very child-friendly, they provided child's pillow, toothbrush, slipper and toys. The hotel staffs are helpful and provided great services to make our stay comfortable. There is also free tea-testing at the hotel lobby where the lady tea shop owner is friendly and served good tea. Will stay in this hotel again if go back to Kunming next time.

Relaxation at its finest！  We enjoyed our stay at this Hot Spring hotel that came with wonderful benefits. Upon arrival, the staff is there to greet you and take your luggage to the room. The hotel is massive. Hot Springs is very large and comfortable. Lots of places for children to play and pools for them to enjoy. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. Give this a four star on amenities as they did not have a crib suitable for toddlers. younger babies, yes, but not if your baby is climbing or walking, the crib will not fit. The location is good and not far from a lot of the sites of Kunming ! Overall, I would love to stay at this hotel again, and I recommend it to all travelers. 

Lots of cheap and delicious eateries nearby since the hotel is located in the university district. Hotel also provides shuttle service to and fro Kunming South Railway Station every 15mins. Food is buffet-style and has quite a wide variety. Room was clean and spacious as well. Only qualm was that hotel was not able to help us arrange for transport to the airport (at our own expense), nor did they offer any alternatives/options, and we had to figure this out ourselves.

My first experience staying with the Atour chain hotels. Have always heard about the great price to performance ratio. I checked in late and there was a minor backend communication issue between trip.com and the hotel, the room I booked wasn't reserved successfully in the hotel's system. The front desk staff quickly came up with a solution. They upgraded my room to a suite with a balcony. They provided me reassurance that I won't be left stranded and directed me to have the late night porridge while they sort it out. I was grateful for their service especially after my late arrival in Kunming. I was touched by the details of the room. The room is clean, well lit and there was cold and warm air conditioning.There was even a retractable clothesline in the shower area. Charging ports were abundant at both sides of the bed. The room is smart but upon switching off the lights, there was no unnecessary illumination from the switches or the TV, great for light sleepers sensitive to light. The pillow choice provided a personal touch. I look forward to my next stay with Atour. Many thanks to the staff on duty that night.
