This was a lovely little cabin that had a full equipped kitchen. The WiFi didn't really work well but everything else was great. There was hot water, extra sheets, shampoo, conditioner and soap.

There are enough beds, no breakfast, and there are many children in the area, so drive slower. The people who live in are pretty nice, and they are basically families from Melbourne who came to vacation.

The cabin with a good environment, there is a big bed room, a three-person high and low bed room, the living room is quite big, we arrived late, that day 👋 cooled and rained, the staff left the light at the door of the cabin, the air conditioner in the room was also turned on, very warm The house is a wooden room, the sound insulation is very bad, it is recommended to bring earplugs to sleep, the air conditioner is in the living room, there is no air conditioning in the bedroom, and the winter is cold and the summer is hot.

On the main road, driving, traffic is not a problem. The hotel facilities are very new, very spacious, two bedrooms, can sleep 5 people, the boss is very good. It is important to note that you should wash your own dishes and dry the dishes before leaving the store, otherwise you may be deducted.

My husband and I both thought the Queen Bed was very comfy and we slept well. We had a rain water head shower which had a great pressure. The location was near all we wanted to see and do in Geelong. We came mainly for the Archibald at Geelong Gallery. We were able to do some shopping at Westfield as we don't have anything like that near where we live. We also ambled through Harris Scarfe which is also not near to us. The housekeeping staff were very affable and came with clean towels every day. We didn't have Breakfast in the Dining Room as we went out and about and had Brunch.

We love the peace & quiet that this accommodation offered. The room, including the toilet, was cosy and clean. The breakfast prepared by the host was excellent. Even the garden outside was very good for a relaxing walk in the morning.

Very general hotel, not as good as the Internet said. First of all, the hotel room is very small, no difference from the youth travel. Secondly, all aspects of health are not in place. When we arrived in the room, there was still water in the kettle (water from the last guest). There is no hand sanitizer. Overall, the price is not high, and there are many choices at the same price in the city center.

Vvan0ffthewallStayed at Ibis Kingsgate for two weeks as I was here to celebrate my birthday. It is my second time staying here; I also came here last year for two weeks and for my birthday! The hotel is located within a good and safe area - which is great for solo travellers such as myself. I’ve seen families at this hotel too. Ibis Kingsgate is within the free tram zone (you can take the 86 or 96), with access to many amenities nearby such as Coles, Woolies, Southern Cross Station (great for when you have to catch the SkyBus), My Chemist, and a range of food and cafe options. Located at the cross junction of King and Bourke St, the hotel is also walking distance to other popular streets such Elizabeth, Queen, Williams, Colins, Lonsdale, La Trobe, and more! Flinders is nearby too, and you can just cut across to Southbank as well! In fact, you can even walk to Lygon, Docklands or even as far as Collingwood, which I did! If walking is not your thing, there are also many options for trams, trains, and buses near this hotel. Room is adequate and clean, with a nice range of television channels. There’s a fridge, kettle and tea/coffee which is occasionally refilled. Bathroom is good too; sufficient and spacious enough, and for some - there’s even a window in the bathroom! The hotel staff are nice and it’s always great to be back. Thank you for the room upgrade, it made my trip even more special. I returned the gesture by keeping the room as clean and tidy as possible. ;p Until next time! See ya later!

GGuest UserLocation: Can be tricky to find the first time as you need to turn onto Cyril Street. Look across the road for the white building with red writing. Check-in: easy and fast. The man on reception is friendly and organised, just a lovely receptionist. There is a bond of $200; be organised and you’ll save your time and the receptionist’s time. You can pay the bond in cash. Parking: great, BUT there are some permanents living there and so you might want to park away from them
you will see immediately where you should not park :) clean parking area. Seemed organised. Room: very clean, comfortable. There are no knives, forks or plates, but there is a kettle and a microwave. Teas coffees, etc. six milk pods, so maybe bring milk if you need more. Really make sure that you close the door properly or it will seem shut, but not actually be shut and will open :) Good curtains in the room that block out the light from outside. I noticed a fair amount of security cameras outside on the walkway, which was reassuring. Fantastic showers with plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The bed is firm, but I liked it. Would or wouldn’t stay again? Unfortunately, no, not while they are acting as ‘crisis accommodation’. The staff and room were great, but there are some undesirables living there who kept us awake all night. Not exaggerating when I say, did not sleep AT ALL. We were up and down to check on the car - the permanents were screaming, fighting - some real Jerry Springer stuff. I was upstairs and the people next to me had a dog that barked all night, in addition to the couple screaming at each other :/ Downstairs, fighting, screaming constantly. it sounded like something got broken downstairs. A guy on a motorbike kept coming and going, visiting the permanents downstairs and talking super loudly, then more yelling and fighting after he tore off on his bike. I didn’t feel safe; I expected the car to get damaged. I realise those people’s behaviour is not the motel’s fault, but I was so tired the next day that I got a migraine and yeah, still fending it off now, day after. Not impressed with those feral permanents. It’s a shame because the staff and rooms are great

GGuest UserïżŒParking is convenient, and the space is large enough for families with two adults and three children. The grandma at the counter is so kind and enthusiastic about service. Because it was very cold when we arrived, we felt that the heating was not enough, so we asked for extra blankets. Grandma specially asked for them. He came to our room to help us adjust the electric blanket. He was very caring. There are many Chinese restaurants nearby, which can satisfy Chinese stomachs. It is a quiet area in the middle of the noise. It is worth recommending.

JJanetwyhI booked the Family Ensuite Room, it is great for friends or family of 4 which includes a toilet, a queen bed and TV(don't receive well), wardrobe, table, a chair, hair dryer, iPod-docking station, air-condition, comfortable mattresses and great view. The corridors had 4 to 5 individual toilets, some with showers, and they are cleaned very often. There were vents so the toilet smelled fresh but the air can be cold during winter. The hotel had daily activities and we joined in the trip to the Queen Victoria Winter night market Hosted by Ben, and we had great time eating and shopping and taking lots of photos. The Hotel's mini cinema had pretty new movies like furiosa and kraven the hunter, we watched Paddington 2 and there was no subtitles. There's snacks and drinks Venting Machines at a few levels. I like the Food space which have 8 cooking stations and fridge space to keep my food. Dinning area comes with microwave, toaster, air fryer, coffee/tea stations. Plates/cups/pans/knifes are provided, you just need to buy your own food and cook there(some seasoning is provided too) and there might be food from other guests that are left for anyone to use. We got to use the Laundry space and the coin machine is right outside. I like the Hot Tub/Jacuzzi at the roof that is big enough for 4 to 8 people with a View of the city. This is a great Hotel with different room options and lots of Facilities spaces if you decide to stay in and chill. The check-in is friendly and fast, but the check-out is a bit slow because of the deposit refund, they have to check our room before they refund us. Everyone is friendly and my questions and queries were answered. The downside is that the room is not soundproof, we can hear people running, talking in the corridor and slamming the doors shut.

AamittraWe stayed in Room 1003 at Arrow on Swanston as a family of three—two adults and a child—for a short visit to Melbourne. The location was the strongest advantage, offering direct access to Swanston Street’s tram network and nearby restaurants and a short walk to our daughter’s student accommodation at Scape Swanston. The room itself was compact but functional, with a well-equipped kitchenette suitable for preparing simple meals. Although the space was limited, it was clean on arrival and the bed was reasonably comfortable. Housekeeping, however, was only scheduled once every four days, and we had to make repeated requests to have the room cleaned. Towels and toiletries were not replenished automatically and had to be collected in person from the reception. Elevator service was also a drawback—there are only two passenger lifts, which were often slow to arrive, and on multiple occasions, garbage bins were transported in the same lift as guests, making for an unpleasant experience. The sofa bed provided for our child was adequate for a short stay but may not be suitable for longer durations. Heating worked well, which was appreciated during colder evenings, and the kitchenette offered basic but useful amenities. Reception staff were generally polite and helpful when approached. That said, the room and some common areas appeared dated and would benefit from refurbishment. Overall, while the property felt slightly overpriced given the service and maintenance levels, it was convenient and met our basic needs for a short family stay.
