I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The bed was very cozy, which helped me get a great night’s sleep. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The location was convenient, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing and welcoming. The hotel was near to eateries and some malls but the malls are not the ‘high end’ type. Almost all the food options in the mall are Muslim friendly.
Hotel service was good but we didn’t make use of their facilities such as the swimming pool and gym.
The breakfast buffet was not really fantastic as the food is almost the same daily and not very tasty.. quite disappointing for a 4-star hotel under Shangri-La group.
The room is quite spacious but toilet is a bit small.
Water pressure from toilet bowl flushing was strong and noisy and water will start splashing around if we don’t close the toilet seat.
The journey to hotel from airport is about 25-30 minutes depending on traffic conditions.
Overall I would suggest staying at Gurney area instead of this area as the food options are better at Gurney.

Overall experience is still awesome, got upgraded to Premier room and spacious room with complimentary bathtub bathboom. Just on side hiccup is,the longer than expected waiting to check-in and hotel card issue. Unable to enter twice due to card failure,this leave room for improvement for the hotel personnel. Other than that,still handled professionally.

Perfect for families! We stayed in a suite and it was very spacious and clean. The kids loved the indoor pool, and having free self-service laundry was a total lifesaver. Highly recommend for anyone traveling with a group

Just stayed at the new Capri by Fraser Penang and loved it. The design is gorgeous, especially the huge arched window in the room facing the city roofs and the beautiful terrazzo bathroom.
The location is perfect and right in town. You can easily walk to three malls (Gama, Prangin Mall, 1st Avenue), nearby convenience stores, local food, cafes, and restaurants. There is ongoing LRT construction opposite the hotel (slated for 2030 or later), but it didn't affect the stay.
Great facilities (pool, gym, sauna) and I loved the floor water refill stations with the eco-friendly glass bottles provided in the room. The staff were super friendly and welcoming from check-in to check-out.
Recommended for anyone visiting Penang who wants a fresh, modern, and highly convenient place to stay.

There is no sufficient space for guests drop off and pick up and for if there are two to three cars the area before hotel will be messed up and stuck together! The enclosed captured screen from goggle map is self explanatory !
Every morning commencing 8:00 am to 09:00am there will be large trolleys outside the rooms and on upper floors transferring towels and other amenities around and the sound like you are sitting by the railway while the trains are crossing which was rather annoying. You will hear staff talking or chatting together and the metallic service door slamming during that period.
Most interesting is every day the housekeeping has left souvenirs to us. The first day was a toilet brush and the second day was a cigarette lighter.
Last but not the least when we approached the concierge to get the luggages while the car was waiting just outside the hotel main door the bell boy asked my wife to move the luggages by herself and the distance was only 3 meters away!

If you want convenience to good food such as Burung Hantu Nasi Lemak or Chowrasta Market for wonderful local food, then you should stay at St Giles.
The room was airy and clean. Pillows were great as we slept well. The only flaw was the mini fridge wasn’t clean but generally a good stay for four days. Staff was also helpful and we also loaned an umbrella from the concierge. Free parking for those who intend to drive.

Ssj91this hotel is good overall, but when we arrived, they told us that we didn't have a booking with them and they couldn't locate our booking and details. the room was also said to be taken, and they are waiting for a cancellation in order to get our room. There is a lot of confusion among staff. some visitors were told to leave their rooms once they have entered. we waiting 1 hr 30 min to get our room. so check in was at 4.30pm. parking was also very inconvenient, as we had to park at the basement, which was impossible to even get one if you came into the hotel late and a T&G card was also needed to get validated before leaving the hotel if we wanted a free spot. Room was very spacious and clean. the tea and coffee was hard like its never been changed.

GGuest UserI was upgraded to a Deluxe room but it was at the extreme corner next to the service staircase. Grateful for the upgraded but the room conditions were not up to par . Hair in shower room , the shower holder fell when I was taking it out and it dropped on my toe . Hence the blue black toe shown ( hehe ) . I could not sleep the whole night as the air con was very very noisy even when I lower the adjustment. The day curtain was torn . I sound it out to reception the next morning to see whether they can change my room as I was staying for another 2 nights . They did and I reckoned it was another up grade as now the room has a standing shower room . In the other previous room , you have to stand in the bath tub to shower and for a man of 65 , it is a bit tricky . The hotel really needs an up grade too . It is in a good location and CAT bus is nearby . The CAT shuttle is a complimentary bus that moves around the town area .
The saving grace for my trip was that the staff was up to par and reacted quickly . Well done on this .
Now , I wait for my toe to heal .

AAnonymous UserEnjoyable, as i am travelling for work, very near to my workplace, easy to check in, as well as given complimentary drinks throughout the stay. Except that, the housekeeper doesnt replace or give any new toothbrush for us on the second day, maybethe hotel can improve on that, overall nice staycation.

The staff were all very diligent and responsible.
On our last day, we had an early flight, so we were able to request breakfast boxes from the hotel.
Inside, the room felt like a domestic budget hotel – clean, comfortable, and the bed was nice.
This time, we stayed in a connecting room on the 7th floor, which was convenient as it provided two bathrooms.
Breakfast is served on the 21st floor. While the variety isn't huge, there's enough to eat, and they have an omelet station. Plus, the views are excellent.
The 22nd floor rooftop has a beautiful pool, open from 7 AM to 9 PM. It was really refreshing to go for a swim every day. Towels are provided by the pool.

GGuest UserWhat I liked: quick and convenient communication with the administrator during check-in. The room offered good value for money. What I didn't like: The pool rules weren't supported by its infrastructure. There's nowhere to change into dry clothes, but you're not allowed to leave in wet ones. The floor in front of the pool gets scorching hot in the sun, yet they require you to walk barefoot, even without slippers. They even came up with a dress code for visiting.

SSteve WOur stay at Citadines Connect was fabulous. It was really quiet yet the location was nice and central (near lots of sights and great food places). We were lucky enough to be in block B which faces another building so there was literally no traffic noise and we barely noticed other travellers because of the insulation between rooms. The bathroom was very clean and serviced daily beautifully. The staff helped us a lot when trying to book our next steps of our journey to Ipoh. Finally, the infinity pool was a dream, particularly because we had it all to ourselves! Nothing quite like listening to the call to prayer while floating in a crystalline pool 4 floors you. This hotel was the best - highly recommended.
