The hotel was exceptionally clean! The room was well-equipped with everything you could need, so there was no need to bring anything extra. Daily housekeeping was provided, but you could opt out if preferred, which was a nice touch. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making the stay even more pleasant. The only small downside was that luggage storage after check-out wasn’t available, but it wasn’t an issue for us.

The location of the hotel is fantastic. Close walk to Taipei Main Station and Taoyuan Airport MRT station for transportation (just need to figure out the right exit to enter or exit the station), walking distance to Ximenting for shopping, there are lots of eateries nearby, Chengzhong Market (城中市场 translate to Market in the city), a local market, is walking distance with lots of local food stalls. The staff are friendly and helpful. The lobby area is quite spacious with some longish siting area. There is no common area to work though. We booked 2 types of room for our group. Share Studio and Classic Twin. The Share Studio comes with 4 single beds, no window, but spacious. However, the toilet ergonomics not so good as there is no space to place toiletries in the shower cubicle except on the floor. 1 bit towel and a small towel are provided for, together with 2 paper cups for each bed. Each bed has a luggage storage area under the bed, a lockable drawer, and a small compartment for storing things. Each bed comes with a small retractable desk with its own light at the foot of the bed. The Classic Twin has better ergonomics in the toilet, and has windows to get ventilation (if needed). This room is considered more premium than the Share Studio, it comes with tea and coffee, and ceramic cups. In each room a water jug is provided for, and at least 2 water stations are available on each floor. Will I stay here again? Definitely.

I had a fantastic stay. The room was spacious and offered a lovely view from the 13th floor. The hotel's location is just a 5-minute walk to the metro, making it super convenient for exploring the area. There are also two handy convenience stores nearby, which made grabbing snacks and essentials a breeze. The overall atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff were attentive. Highly recommend this hotel for its comfort, cleanliness, and prime location!

Hotel and building was a little dated. Our room was overly basic in a state or repair. There was a terrible mould smell in the room which we did not like. The bathroom was nice and clean though. The location was pretty good too. Not too far from the station, close to the night market, and close to subways and bus routes. Definitely wouldn’t stay again and would look at paying a little more for a nicer hotel.

Chose a room without windows at an affordable price. Location is near miyahara and Taichung train station. However, there IS NO ROOM SERVICE AT ALL. We have to exchange our towels at the counter and toiletries are not provided.

I wanted to test the famous mud springs. This hotel reportedly has one of the best spas. Tips: - I decided to stay overnight in the hotel (2 spa entry tickets with a double room + bfast for $2800) instead of using a day ticket to the spa (400$). The village is far from the city, so staying overnight may cost slightly more than a cheap city hotel, but you're not in a rush and looking for buses etc. - Each spa ticket is basically 2x tickets (1 for the normal spa, and 1 for the naked single-sex spa), so if there are 2 of you, you could go to the naked spa one day and the main spa the next. - The spa has about 15 different hot spring pools, of different temperatures + ingredients, some clear and some ”mud”. There's also mud facials and fish-cleaning for your feet. The electric pools send electric shocks through your body too. There's a swimming pool. - They speak English (basic but enough). - You need a swimming hat and a towel. I took mine but the spa front desk also offered them to borrow. - Plan on spending 3 hours. I'm not a spa lover, but even i found myself taking long. - I went in May and the weather is not at all hot at that height. - Most ********* take their instant noodles in, so that they can eat inside and stay all day. - The hotel is quite beautiful, made from wood (on the face of it). It's got lovely seating areas and they put nice fairy lights everywhere at night. - The hotel room is comparatively expensive for Taiwan at $2800 for 3* (minus the 2x spa tickets of $400 each), but the cheapest ”no window” room (it has 2 windows, but no view) is big and has 2 large concrete baths in (1 for hot mud water + 1 for cold water to dip in and out). Therefore, given that it is a beautiful location too, I do think it's very reasonable. - The breakfast is mostly chinese but there's some western bits. It's standard for 3* but the location of the eating area has beautiful views of the jungle. - It's a 15 minute nice walk to lots of restaurants and a convenience shop.

The staff really have no sense of time and the demanded payment from us at 3am due to a stained towel when were were not even checking out yet. (Were just there to collect something which had been dropped off with them) It made us feel like they are desperate for money, because the front desk staff would not let us go and even said we had to go withdraw and pay them there and then. Fine we paid and went up to the room which we had requested for room service only to find that the sheets they gave us had blood stains on the bed and pillow. The location and room were nice enough but would not recommend people to stay unless you intend to avoid the front desk at late night.

Very nice room and good service from the cleaning auntie and the counter receptionist. My first room has a sewage smell and after the first night, told the receptionist and they immediately let me change to another room.

I recently stayed at this hotel, and while the location is fantastic, the overall experience was mixed. The hotel is situated in a vibrant and funky neighborhood, full of small street food restaurants that give it a great local charm. If you're into exploring authentic, lively spots, this area is perfect. However, the hotel itself is quite worn down. It’s marketed as a ”Design Hotel,” but the room I stayed in was far from what I expected. My 12m² room felt cramped and humid, and the lack of room cleaning, while not a major issue for me, could bother some guests. The floor was noticeably worn out, which added to the tired feel of the place. If you're just looking for a place to sleep and plan to spend most of your time outside, it works. But if you're after a comfortable stay with modern amenities, this might not be the best choice.

An average 3 star hotel with decent service and a decent location. Room was weirdly arranged (I suppose to accommodate 4 persons). Door has a 1 inch clearance below it, which means you hear everything happening on the floor. They provide ear plugs presumably because some guests must have complained about the noise. Good place if you're looking for a cheap place to sleep at night in this area. We have been to much worse 3 star hotels so we appreciated it for what it is. (Also, saw this sign outside the hotel... I think it means they charge hourly rates but it might be the neighboring place... 😅)

Location is good. Walk straight from Ximen MRT station exit 6(ximending pedestrian) or exit 1 (the red house, need to cross the road for exit 1). They provide drinking water, hairdryer, clean towel, slippers, toothbrush(receptionist will give during checkin). Minor: They still have the same problem with the payment machine. My money was deducted from my account but they didn’t receive according to them. I notice that the same complain was made before but the same problem still re-occurring. That cause the checkin process became slow, we have to leave first before they can solve it because the management don’t pick up the phone when the receptionist called them. Yet they still asked for preauthorised during hotel booking. Dear hotel management, if you want the guest to pay at the hotel, stop asking for preauthorisation. Better ask for prepay online for smooth checkin process! BTW, the bathroom is dirty with old stains. The AC is not cold enough, i was sweating the whole night.

This hotel is a breeze! It's within walking distance to the main station, with the river just outside your door. Popular tourist attractions like Miyahara are also just a short walk away. Check-in was smooth, and you can store your luggage if you arrive before check-in time. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, especially Southeast Asian options like Indonesian, Filipino, and Vietnamese cuisine.

The hotel is at a location quite close to calligraphy greenway and public transport is relatively convenient too. Hotel breakfast was ok though it was a little repetitive. One point to note is that the closest junction is strictly an overhead bridge so if you're arriving by public transport and also carrying luggage, you'll have to walk a littler further down the road to cross.

The hotel location is very central next to Taroko Shopping Mall and very close to the Taichung TRA station. The service is exceptional. Room size is great. Need to specifically ask for a non-smoking room.

It was a smooth check-in,staffs are friendly,speaks English,and accomodating. The location is not very good, far from mrt/bus/hsr stations, walking distance to convenience stores though. The building is a bit old, i can tell it from the elevator with small space, the beds,and furnitures too. But overall-it's not bad for a short stay.

The hotel is very new, about a 4-minute walk from Chenggong Railway Station. There is a FamilyMart convenience store nearby. There are no restaurants, but you can order takeout. There is a parking lot. It is highly recommended for self-driving tours. The CP value is very high on weekdays. The breakfast is OK. There is a tea bag, coffee machine and potato chip snacks in the lobby. There is beer in the afternoon on the 2nd floor and there is a bath. Although the bathhouse is small, the facilities are OK. Unfortunately, it is only open from 3pm to 9pm. It would be better if it was opened later.

We booked a room for three people (2+1). The layout is square, very comfortable and clean, and it is not as exaggerated as the Google reviews! Clean and simple. The shampoo and shower gel both smell great and are not drying after washing. It’s a literary youth hotel, Zan Zan

The room given was much different from the photo! As soon as I opened the door, I could smell the musty smell in the corridor. The musty smell was so strong that I tried to open the window for ventilation, but it was blocked by advertising canvas and the walls were covered with mildew. Although the counter service is great, the quality of the room is such that it would be more comfortable to sleep in a supermarket or McDonald's.

Room I booked is considered good for the price it charges. The lobby of the hotel is clean and has a hot water dispenser to make coffee or tea.

Stayed there for two nights and it was a great time. The hotel is very nice with a good location. Very close to a great night market.

It was really difficult to choose a hotel at first. It was my first time to come to Kaohsiung and I didn’t have a very good idea. But after considering the needs of my friends and a little understanding of the surrounding area, I felt that this hotel was very suitable and the photos looked very good. Nice, the environment is clean and well lit. Later, when I got off the plane and arrived at the hotel, I was expecting it as soon as it opened. The feeling after entering was very comfortable and there was no special smell. The location is also pretty good. It's very close to the Sanduo Shopping District MRT station. It's only a 5-6 minute walk away. There are also supermarkets nearby and several very good breakfast restaurants, including the famous Yonghe Soybean Milk Store, which is great. . The sound insulation is also very good for me, and I can hardly hear other sounds. The cleaning of the room was okay, but one day I forgot to put garbage bags on the two trash cans, which was a bit lacking. Everything else is OK, recommended~

A very FINE hotel (pun intended). The room was big. We had a big bathroom with a huge shower. The lobby has snacks, vending machine and water dispenser. The bed is super comfortable with quality quilts and pillows. Would book again

Book the hotel for a last-minute travel. Stayed in this hotel for 8 days. I think for the price the hotel is clean. Here are some breakdowns: Room: The room and the hotel are a little dated, but its acceptable. I think it will work for backpakers. The vent in my room came off a little. The maintenance team should pay attention to things like this. The room I booked does not have a window. Luckily, I'm not in the room most of the time. Recommendation to people if you are interested in this hotel, make sure to book the room with a window. Also, the room I stayed in is small. You need to close up you luggage otherwise you won't have space to walk. Cleanses: The cleanese is within acceptable range for a hotel like this. However, I think the carpet in the room is old and dirty. Management should really consider replacing the carpets. A newer carper can bring the cleanness of the room up one level. The room also has some minor mildew smell when you enter the room. In fact, some parts of the hotel also have minor mildew smells. Management should really figure out how to remove the mildew smell. The mildew smell goes a way if you increase the AC, but then the room becomes too cold. The mildew smell is also reported by some of the reviews. Comfortable: The mattress and pillow are ok. Each bed comes with 2 pillows instead of 4. I have decent sleep on it. Amenities: The hotel comes with two bottles of water everyday. House keeping will provide it daily if you have house keeping. Hotel provides reusable sleepers for bathroom and for use in the room. These are not disposable sleepers. They are reusable. They look very old school and I'm not sure how clean they are. So, I dont use them. I understand its a budget hotel, but it would be really great if they provided disposable sleepers. Also, there is no hand soap in the bathroom. You would think that after the pandemic, washing hand should become an important part of life but hand soap is not provided. I went to one of the local shops here to buy myself a bottle of hand soap. The shower drain is also a little clogged. There is a small poddle of water while showering. I read similar issues in other reviews. Breakfast: The breakfast is ok for the price of the room. Some of the reviews said that the breakfast was better before. Honestly, with inflation, all cost have gone up. I think the selection of breakfast is good for the price of hotel. I think overall the hotel is ok. If you are traveling alone and are under a budget, I think this hotel can be one of the choices.

The check-in and check-out speed is fast, parking is easy, the room is large and quiet, the air-conditioning is super strong but the temperature cannot be adjusted, the location is not lively but there is a night market nearby, the breakfast has many choices but the taste is slightly light, the overall feeling is better than staying in the city center , would like to repurchase again.

Overall, the location is pretty good. You can get there in a short walk from Formosa or Xinyi Elementary School Station. Liliuhe Night Market is pretty close, so you can walk back to the hotel. The content of the hotel is generally quite satisfactory and not outstanding. But the variety of spare parts is a bit too good. No razor, comb or even shower cap Of course, there is nothing else you can think of. You only need to bring your toothbrush, towel, and bath towel. Everything else must be brought by yourself. There is bottled water in the room, nothing else...nothing else Long-established restaurants can tell that some fabrics have stains that cannot be washed out. We lived in the hotel for two days. When settled, they could not understand why we had to pay the second time. It turns out that when booking on Bucking, our money was blocked, but in the payment receipt it was not reflected. After repaying, we were settled in the room. The hotel is clean, comfortable, close to the night and stuff markets - 5 minutes walk. The hotel provides a light dinner in the evening - buffets, cakes, ice cream, tea, coffee, drinks. There are many shops, cafes, metro station and bus stops nearby. We are happy with this hotel, if there is an opportunity, we will come again.
