Check in was smooth and excellent. Staff are amazing giving all required info with a smile. The cleanliness was quite good except for some marks on the couch and chair. The breakfast was outstanding. Those who book without breakfast probably lose out on half of the benefit of staying at this hotel. The pool was also amazing. Free parking in the building was a real blessing. Check out was again just as good as check in. Will definitely stay here again.
Service is tip top. Everyone is very polite and friendly from front desk to door men to f&b staff. However the room could be better. The water pressure is not strong enough and there's something wrong with the mixer tab because halfway through showering the water will turn cold. Another thing is the WiFi speed, it's too slow.
Eye-catching boutique design and character-driven vibes.Small bathrooms with limited ventilation and occasional odors.M Boutique Hotel Ipoh is a stylish and well-located boutique hotel—perfect for travelers seeking unique design, convenience, and local flavor. Ideal for one or two-night stays to explore Ipoh, especially if you’re okay with smaller rooms and a compact layout.
The hotel is located in the center of Ipoh town, making it convenient to access most local food spots.
The room is clean, but the bed is a standard single size — not a super single — so it’s not very comfortable to sleep on. The blanket is quite thick, so we had to set the air-conditioning to a very low temperature to sleep comfortably.
Breakfast is okay — just the usual hotel fare, nothing special.
Old hotel but the cleanliness was good.
Room was quite good for the price that I paid.
Only downside was the parking at the basement without lift. It's a bit troublesome for an old man or disable person to use staircase to the lobby.
Air condition was superb. Bath towel was a good quality but without hand and face towel.
1 unit of hotel lift under constructions and the drilling noise start at 10.00am.
Quite a nice hotel though, approximately 2km to downtown, check in smooth and front desk staff very friendly.
The only downside is the parking with slightly narrow entrance/exit and have to go through basement parking before you can reach the outdoor parking beside the hotel.
PROS: Great location, close to lots of eateries (within walking distance). Helpful staff deliver requested items promptly. Returned my cash deposit within 10 minutes I checked out (they needed to send someone up to the suite to do an inspection before the deposit could be returned). Lots of free parking in the building. Very new and clean facility with nice size swimming pool and gym. Rooms are spacious and have a clean kitchen + clean kitchenware, and a washer (but no washing powder). CONS: Cars enthusiasts park their cars beside the building on Saturdays, playing really loud music that can be heard in your suite (even on 13th floor) until 3am!! The hotel operates by sharing space with the owner of residential units. On the same floor, you may see some units' doors have different style of lock. So, the building is like a regular apartment. The hallway is not carpeted, When people dragging their luggage in the hallway, it can be loud.
”Loved my stay at Kinta Riverfront Hotel and Residences! The location is super convenient, making it easy to explore the area. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options to start the day right. The service here truly stands out—friendly, attentive, and always helpful. Highly recommend for a hassle-free, comfortable stay!”
The hotel system did not record that I had paid for breakfast for two people during my two days stay when I do the room booking included breakfast on trip.com website. This caused trouble on the morning when I tried to enter the hotel dining hall. The stewardess stopped me and did not allow me to enter, asking me to wait while she checked with the front desk staff even though I showed her my trip.com booking receipt. The same situation happened again on the following morning when I went for breakfast
I stayed with my daughter. While the room was spacious and the location was convenient, we had some trouble checking in. Our door key number didn’t work at all, and we had to wait about 10 minutes for the issue to be resolved. It was a bit frustrating after a long day. Aside from that, the stay was comfortable.

GGuest UserExcellent service and speedy process check in. Self check out and somehow it's kind of unique.Security guard is very helpful for check in. Ryokan management did professional job remotely.
We didn't plan stay long but bc of the last minutes health care emergency needed, plan changed.
Thanks for the flexibility.

TTeddy BehInitially room air conditioning was not cold enough, super warm even switch on for an hours due to corner room near to lift. Hence, requested to change a new room with a better air-conditioning. Yes, the hotel front desk manage to transfer a new cold room for me. Welcome tea time if possible to put in buffet style like last time. Breakie were super awesome! Starting 2025, Perak state will tax RM 3 per night, oh dear... ☺️🙏
