Check in experience was good. Friendly staff... Was great to receive a small piece of cake. When I mention that it was my sister's birthday... Room was spacious. Clean and nice with city view..... Parking has ample space at basement and outside hotel.... Easy access to shopping areas.. And eateries. Within 5 mins by car... Marble floors. Walls are something unique about this hotel... Price very reasonable for d location..
We've stayed at this hotel before and had a good impression previously. Hence we chose to stay here again. Our Grand Deluxe room was huge! The windows gave us 180 degrees view of Taiping as far as the eyes can see. Cleanliness was good although there were a few strands of long hair. There's a coffee maker but all types of coffee had a distinct sourish note which wasn't enjoyable. Other than that, all was fine and we had a very good rest.

This is my second time staying at this hotel because I really love the cozy little café they have downstairs. The hotel itself is super cute and very clean, which instantly makes you feel comfortable. Although the price is a bit on the higher side, I honestly don’t mind because their coffee is really good and worth it. The room I stayed in was simple but surprisingly spacious, giving me plenty of room to relax. Overall, it’s a nice place if you want something clean, charming, and convenient, especially if you’re a coffee lover like me!
We stayed here 8 years ago, when the hotel was formerly named The Shyuen. AC Marriot really takes it to the next level, when contemporary and modern meets as one. I am going to rate it based on the category:
Room (5/5)
The room size is neat, not too big, not too small. Comfortable for our little family.
Hotel Lobby (4/5)
Feeling relaxed and contented. It's just a bit awkward when there are too many stairs to go up and down a lot. Maybe.
Facilities (3/5)
The pool was great. The gym was also good. Loved the site of the penthouse and pavilion with the decorating landscape of the garden wedding theme. Some of the facilities are also not yet open due to being under construction.
Parking (4/5)
It can be quite challenging, especially reaching the turning ramp to the basement level.
Hospitality (3/5)
There are pros and cons here. Praised to Ms. Jagjeet for attending us throughout the pre checkin process. I called her to confirm and request the two rooms to be side by side, and also got windows. She briefed us smoothly.
Only that time when we reached the hotel for checked in. Ms Yi Ying attended us at the counter. She said the deposit amounted to RM400 to be paid by card and continued saying the deposit would be returned directly after checking out the hotel. But after checking out, they say they would have to wait for 7 to 14 days period. We called the manager and they said to comeback to us soon.
The hotel location beside the river is good. The room have been updated but the 2 key things to further upgrade is the TV (too small) and the air conditioning efficieny as it takes so long to feel cold in the room. The breakfast is definitely the highlight of our stay as it brings back nostalgia and good authentic food with vast choices. The swimming pool is also good for the kids and for adults, we enjoyed the pool. The riverfront are with choices of simple cafe and restaurants that open in the evening.
Went with family for a 3 days, 2 night stay. It was a spacious room indeed. But they dont offer or entertain any request for additional bed AT ALL. It is stated on their website. Got wrong info from trip.com. Not sure whether the hotel was refurbished or it is their original design, but i didnt get why in their shower room there’s no shampoo/ shower gel holder/rack. They dont provide bin in the toilet like normally kost hotels do. On the last day, during dawn time there was power trip due to their faulty water heater.
Parking can be difficult at night but they prioritise the parking for hotel guests compared to event guests. The bathroom has transparent glass windows so that may not be suitable unless you're staying alone. I love that the hotel provides extra 1.5L drinking water other than the 2 small bottles.

AAnonymous UserLocation near to Tambun Lost World water park. But I can’t find any convenient store nearby within walking distance. Safety is good since need access card to access to each floor of the premises. Overall is good if you plan to play at Tambun Lost World water park. It is advisable to rent a car if you not driving one, for easy to other locations.
VVicLamStayed here for 5 nights. Wifi in room totally do not exist. Have to go to the lobby for wifi. Was told that they having wifi problems. Can log in but no internet. Very basic hotel facilities. Stay here if you are taking advantage of the location.

Mmummy MabelGood. This is my 2nd time staying here. Everything was pretty good. Only thing was found some stains on the bedsheets when we checked in. Got the housekeeping to change it and their response is pretty fast too. And good view too.
MMei YingWe had a wonderful time staying at this apartment.
