5-Star Hotels in Tibet, China

I booked this hotel when I was traveling with my family. This hotel is considered very good in Linzhi. The hotel is in authentic ******* style, the rooms are also very nice, and the overall design is very unique. The breakfast is also very rich, and there are many ******* lifestyle experience programs. The hotel's butler, Mr. Cicheng, waited for us until 12 o'clock on the first night. He really cared for us meticulously, which touched us. The hotel's airport driver was also very enthusiastic, and we were very satisfied

The nicest hotel we have stayed in during our 4 week trip in China! The Hilton was a very clean hotel with comfortable rooms and a great bed and shower. The breakfast buffet is very extensive with Chinese and Western choices. We are at the Coal Bar one night and the pizza and beer was reasonably priced and the pizza was large and quite tasty. The location is good!

Our butler, Alan, provided excellent service. The hotel's location is generally good, and some room types even offer views of the Potala Palace. They provide complimentary fruit and yogurt, and there's a turndown service where they make the bed and arrange your shoes. The front desk staff are all very handsome and beautiful, and incredibly friendly. Breakfast was also fantastic. Very satisfied!

Looking at the decor, you can tell it must have been beautiful when it was first built, with distinct ******* characteristics. It basically has all the facilities and services a five-star hotel should offer. However, the problem is that after so many years, the facilities are just too old. The cabinet doors don't close properly, the seating cushions are heavily worn, the old-fashioned toilet is very difficult to use, and the glass is foggy – I'm not sure if it's dirty or just aged. I chose a room with a Potala Palace view, but the cloudy glass really spoiled the experience. There were even leftover toenails from previous guests on the carpet, which was quite disgusting. I also have to mention the mini-bar. There were only 6 cans of Coke and Sprite, with no price tags. I assumed they were complimentary, but when I asked, they were 18 yuan each. Seriously, I've stayed in many five-star hotels. If a mini-bar is going to charge, please at least stock it with sparkling water, orange juice, and beer (if not wine or sparkling wine) to look more professional. If you only have these few bottles, either be generous and offer them for free, or just remove them. The current approach feels a bit cheap. Overall, this hotel definitely needs a renovation.

Then they told me they would charge for the oxygen machine, even though it wasn't needed when I ordered it online. Even though it was delivered, I still felt uncomfortable. My room cost around 1,000, which was too expensive and not worth it! Also, the breakfast was terrible and the quality was just average! I hope it will be improved! The hotel has a strong ******* style and I love it. I hope the service and quality will improve!

Hampton by Hilton Shannan is a new hotel that only opened at the end of 2024. And one thing worthy of praise is that the lobby manager also helped me book 5 rooms at Hilton Huiting Hotel Lhasa. The price is 80 yuan cheaper than the above. This service can be praised. I will stay here next time I travel to Shannan.

Great hotel, large room (was upgraded for free to Suite), clean. Marshal at reception was friendly and attentive. Large variety at breakfast, although the western options are still slightly limited. Would be nice to have greek yoghurt and more cereal choices. Chinese options are great. Joy (waitress at breakfast) was very good and deserves a mention!

The hotel is in a great location. You can directly see the main peak of Nanga Bawa from the room. You can have afternoon tea and watch the sunrise on the golden mountain. The hotel has convenient parking, cleanliness, and the room is very large and comfortable. I stayed another night directly after checking in. It is also convenient to eat and shop around.

The room was spotless, and the view of the Potala Palace from here was absolutely breathtaking.
