DeView Hotel Penang caters perfectly to travelers seeking comfort, stunning views, and accessibility to the vibrant culture of Penang. It balances luxury with genuine Malaysian hospitality, making it a wonderful choice for both relaxation and adventure. I left the hotel feeling rejuvenated and eager to return in the future. Whether you’re visiting for business or leisure, I wholeheartedly recommend DeView Hotel as a memorable hub for your Penang escape.
The location is convenient, especially for those traveling via Penang International Airport, as it’s just a short drive away. The staff is friendly and helpful, ensuring a smooth check-in and stay. The breakfast selection is decent, offering a mix of local and international options.
A very comfortable and nice hotel, spacious room and comfortable bed.
Location is at the central of Georgetown but not at the busy street. There is a foodcourt just across the road.
Breakfast is complimentary and good enough.
Services is excellent! We arrived early and were allowed to check in early, also given extended hour to check out.
Only problem is the sound proofing is poor, I can hear people slamming doors early in the morning.
Even though it was a non smoking room, smell of smoke was heavy when we check in.
We had such an awesome time at Citadines Cecil! Although there is no breakfast, a food market is literally 1 min walk away, diagonally opposite the hotel. Its location is close to the main shopping areas, and most attractions are around 10-25MYR by Grab.
The rooms are clean and new. Toilet is great. Nice and cosy 🥰
Boyfriend loved how they have 24h coffee available all day!
The room was dark and cozy, making it easy to sleep well. However, I was awakened around 8 AM by the sound of a vacuum cleaner operated by the staff, though my partner wasn’t disturbed.
The tatami-style bed was comfortable, providing a unique and relaxing experience. The hot shower, however, required letting the water run for about five minutes before it warmed up—a surprise when the receptionist informed me. When I questioned whether this was wasteful, he simply responded, ”It is what it is,” explaining that the heater is located on a high floor.
Overall, I was satisfied with the stay, but considering the price paid, it didn’t feel cheap. The breakfast options were somewhat limited, and by the time I arrived, the nasi lemak was nearly finished. A little more variety and better replenishment would have been appreciated.
good customer service , good cleanliness for both room and toilet , car park space available , good water pressure in toilet , plenty dining option because there are many restaurant and cafe in the surrounding area . overall good experience
thank you for the freegift😚
The unit is quite new. Very nice sea view from the unit. Tooth brush & tooth paste will only be provided upon request. Swimming pool is too small and full of people, so we don't enjoy swimming even we had changed to the swimming suit.
We frequently check in hotels in Georgetown and Neo+ is one of the few that we have been to more than once.
Location wise is strategic - located in the heart of Georgetown and surrounded with restaurants, shops, shopping malls and other amenities within walking distance.
It has ample parking lot, elevators to access each level of the rooms. The room was quite spacious and complete with everything you need. Strong WiFi, tv with several channels and complimentary beverages are available in the room.
Breakfast has quite a good range and is delicious. We went there during Ramadan, and the hotel served sahur between 5 am to 6.00 am.
Room is small but its totally okay to stay for sleep 1 or 2 nights and the air-conditioning is powerful. But please consider if you have more than one big luggages with you.
Downstairs are full of local food, 1st Avenue mall and Rainbow skywalk, The Top just a few minutes walking.
A room refurbishment is needed if the hotel wants to keep customer returning and attracting new markets. We found the shower was broken when first entered the room (After reported, the front desk sent technician within 5 minutes and fixed it, which responded quickly then we expected).
Moreover, the furniture are quite old, specially beware that cracked door frame and the bottom of walk corner, some damage parts and small chips may hurt small children.
One of the best hotel where we ever stayed. The best staff, big, nice and comfy room. They care about every details. Beautiful swimming pool and very good co-working space, delicious coffee. 10 minutes by Grab to the Centre of George Town.

JJuesyarizalWith every hotel reservation through this trip.com application, guests are given 2 passes to the water theme park found in this hotel. Children are very happy to play in this water theme park. We intend to stay at this hotel again.

GGuest UserThe buffet breakfast on the first day was great! The pandan chicken was our favourite. They have egg stations where you can order how you like your eggs, toasts, fruits, cereals n milk, coffee machine, dim sum baos, nasi lemak, noodles. Quite decent for the price of the room Inc bf. Had a nice chat w the guy manning the counter as we were there at like 7am n there were not other guests yet. Sit near the window if you are early and get a nice scenic view while enjoying bf.
Location wise no comments as we go everywhere via grab.
Room was clean, only wished they had bigger rooms for like 2 queen beds for families with young children. We had a king bed but cannot fit all of us. Shower lotion n shampoo not great so I used the ones I brought along for my children. It smelled like Mama lemon dish washing detergent. Aircon was cold n nice.
WWynnie8585The hotel has a great location, but there’s still room for improvement.
The staff are okay, and the service and facilities are average. During Ramadan, the buffet breakfast is replaced with an à la carte menu. The food tastes average—just enough to fill your stomach.
The hotel is quite old, so there are visible black stains and mold in the room. While it’s not exactly dirty, the age of the building makes it hard to maintain cleanliness. The bedsheets also had an unpleasant smell, so I think the laundry staff may need better training.
On the bright side, when I shared my feedback with the front desk, they informed me that the hotel is currently undergoing renovations.
Overall, considering the price, it's still an acceptable stay.
GGrace Ling SEThe hotel is like 5-7 mins drive to Komtar, the town center. Easy to find food around, walking distance around 3-5 mins from the hotel. I stayed in room 205. The room was spacious but without a window because it's in the center. The bathroom space was just nice, bathroom ”wall” was a piece of large glass covered with blinds. Toilet exhaust fan doesn't seem to work. The room aircond took some time to get cold but it's not very cold although already put to 16°c, full fan speed or turbo mode. Maybe it needs some servicing. For those who are driving, they have a small basement parking with 6 parking lots and the front of the hotel can park up to 3 cars.
WWandy goStayed at this hotel and had a pleasant experience! The hotel is super clean and located right in a strategic area—surrounded by heritage spots and amazing local food. The room and space are quite small, but it’s well-maintained, clean, and the facilities are good. For the price, it’s definitely worth it!

DDonnacfleeNicely decorated resort. Very laid back. Extremely friendly and helpful staff that tried their very best to accommodate customer needs. I recommend that you ask for a room downstairs if you are staying in a family suite for four persons. This type of rooms are more spacious and have an outdoor seating area and direct access to the deck. Must also try the cafe, Biru Buru. Loved the atmosphere.
