I booked FAMILY ROOM. In the room, there are 2 double bed (enough for 4 adults), 1 small refrigerator, 1 air-con, 4 towels, 4 bottled water, coffee sachet, creamer and sugar, but no tea available.
Air-con is very cool. The hot shower functioning well. The minus ⛔ is just the system of choosing ”Do Not Disturb” and ”Make Up Room” not functioning well. It kept switch off by itself a few seconds after we pressed it on although the card still attached at the card place. So we have to tell it manually at the receptionist to make up the room.
Great location! Nearby have lots of nice food.
The room is quite small and cleanliness, not really up to expectation, but the front desk solves it well.
Overall, it is still a cost effective accommodation .
I was a little underwhelmed when I got to my suit as it looked nothing like the photos really. It just wasn’t pink enough. I expected it to be full on pink but it was rather subtle. Dare I say too subtle!
However the room did grow on me and I had a comfortable stay. Bed and pillows were excellent and the towels were nice, as was the bath lah.
I would stay again for sure.
Room aircond leaking and unable to ON the aircond...told us full house unable to change room but after that change to another room for us....breakfast not so many chosen and there are many flying insects on the fruits...no workers to guard the foods...Room is clean...No noisy environment...Hotel near to the town...
Location wise is great, food market every night just right at front of the junction. There's a braised soup noodle (Super Star Koay Teow) which is superb which I would highly recommend. All the stalls and shop usually closes at or before 11pm. Walking distance to the heritage site if you are willing to walk under the sun, otherwise a Grab would do. All grab drivers are so friendly!
Room is small. The bathroom has no wet and dry area, basically just a curtain to segregate the shower area. The aircon is blowing directly to one side of the bed, whoever sleeps on that side won't feel comfortable as the cool air keeps blowing. There's only one room card given and everything stops working after you remove the card, so every day coming back to the hotel after a day out would be quite hot and needs at least 30 mins to cool the whole room.
No toothbrush, no toothpaste, no slippers. Only 2-in-1 shampoo + shower gel is available. Entertainment wise, you can watch Netflix (if you have an account) and YouTube on the TV.
Room is ok but the toilet have not lock door that is not so good and also the place is china town but after 4pm all the restaurants are closed so need to go to george town to having dinner. The room is not so small the facilities are quite good and also the rooms.
Good location, near Gama supermarket and easy to locate nice and variety of hawker food.
Room is clean, beds are comfortable. Fully utilized every space. The staff are friendly and kind.
The in-room dining food is very nice, especially tom yam fried rice. Only RM 18. Highly recommended. I used cash vouchers provided by hotel to order food. So only paid RM 1. We enjoyed the wonderful window view.
No water bottle provided. Please bring along your empty bottle. There is water dispenser at each floor to top up water. Good move to save environment.
The only limitation is max 4 devices to log in for free WiFi.
Overall, I am very satisfied with my stay. Will come again.
Pleasant Family Stay in Penang
We stayed one night with family and had a comfortable and enjoyable experience. The room and bathroom were spacious, clean, and very comfortable—perfect for families with kids.
The location is excellent, with many food options nearby. Even without the hotel breakfast, it was easy to find good local food in the area.
The kids really enjoyed the swimming pool, especially the mini water park with slides and a playground, although the pool area was a bit small.
One downside was the lack of basic in-room amenities like toothbrush and toothpaste, shower cap, cotton buds, soap bar, and a hair dryer.
Overall, a pleasant stay and a good option for families. Would stay again if basic essentials are improved.
I was surprised at how clean and tidy my hotel room was, like a brand new hotel that opened not long ago. Not to mention the cleanliness and tidiness of the entire hotel. The staff there, both the front desk attendants and the cleaners, were very polite and smiled when talking to customers. Keep up the good work! Hopefully it will be as good as I experienced when I come back again!
The room was good, even without a window it didn't feel cramped. The space in the room was quite well arranged. The bed, bedsheets and towels were clean. The bathroom amenities were all in good condition. There was hot water, quality soap and shampoo available. The hotel staff were friendly. The location was good, convenient for walking around. On the day of the stay there was a food festival, very close by. This hotel has a 100 ringgit security deposit, which is returned upon check-out.

GGuest UserLooking at the review of hotels in Malaysia, there seem to be tons of people giving negative reviews for almost every hotel so was pretty wary of booking this hotel and all the other ones I stayed at! However, I found that this was a decent hotel albeit with some minor problems.
To start with the good. The hotel is well constructed, by that I mean the rooms and walls are made of good material so that generally sound from other rooms or outside is not an issue. This is my main concern, because you must be able to sleep peacefully or live in your room without being disturbed by neighbours or the outside, that should be the primary goal of any hotel. The room size is also very large, although I found small things like the funny diagonal shaped desk not to be practical because it was too small to use comfortably. Also, you cannot connect your laptop to the TV with and HDMI because the TV is fixed to the wall.
I had some small issues with a blocked basin and the shower hose was broken, but these were resolved after a couple of visits. I needed to persuade maintenance man to change the hose, which I thought was strange as it was obviously broken. He called in housekeeping afterwards to clean up some of the water on the floor that came from the work. The cleaner used one of the body towels to wipe up the water. I said that he should at least use the floor towel and not the ones for the body. He said it was ”Just water”. As someone who is prone to eczema, I have to be careful about detergents and what I put on my skin. If this is something that house cleaning do regularly, this would be a problem for me. (I did start getting some skin issues here, but cannot say for certain it was due to the hotel).
There was also some old stains on the bed sheets that I had to ask to be changed. Bed sheets like that need to be either bleached or thrown away. They may not pose any health risks but no one wants to sleep on visibly stained sheets. Also, the small sofa bench on at the foot of the bed was heavily stained and really needs to be re-furbished.
The breakfast was okay. I remember the dining area which is nice, but not much of the actual food. I just like eggs, toast, fruit and coffee.
The check-in is on the 20th floor, so you will probably only see the managers when you check-in and when you check-out. I had a nice Indian lady check me in. I saw one other man manager, portly Indian man, there when I tried to extend by one night, who I found to be less friendly.
I would stay here again, as the problems were minor. (I also stayed at the Citadines, which I absolutely do not recommend).

WwithlikeFront desk service was friendly and very good.
Hygiene ok
Environment OK
The location is ok, 5-10 minutes walk, there are bars, convenience stores and food markets.
The facilities are average.
I don't recommend the bar in the hotel as it's very expensive. Although there are discounts on accommodation, they are still very expensive.
Overall review. . Good review 4.5 stars worth recommending.
AAnna511Location is good, near the famous morning market Pasar Lebuh Cecil. The room cleanness and facility overall is not too bad. The bed is comfortable, shower is hot and strong.
However, there is some thing broken in the room, like the toilet hook is not useable, the shower head not user friendly (too low). If you shower more than 10min, it will flood.
However again, there is a big issue for travel who drive the car there. Cause the hotel is not prove parking. Even there is space in the hotel, but is still park at your own, caused there is no proper parking for customer. And I saw the city council did towing a car away due to illegal parking, can’t really relax and feel safe when your car is parked road side or not proper space in hotel.
AAnonymous UserReally love how clean the hotel and the room is. Furnitures in the bed room and bathroom area is so well maintained and super clean as if newly open. The bed is comfy with good aircon temperature. The water and drainage system works perfectly. The breakfast is good and the staff during the breakfast is very keen to help do the waffle.
The location is also great. I can walk out and face cute cafes and bars across the street. Around the block is the area full of historical buildings. The hotel is walkable to popular street like Armenian street, promenade and center of George town.
The only comment is it would be very good to have small sofa in the room next to the bed. With the non standard room type with more usable space, it’s better to add something extra to the room.
But overall is very good stay!
ZZaidah SitiThe hotel rooms is ok & nice. The air conditioner is cold . Nice sea view from the room balcony. Parking is free provided by the hotel but limited. Staffs hotel friendly and helpful. The breakfast just ok. Deposit rm100 when you check in at the hotel.

GGrace Ling SEThe hotel is like 5-7 mins drive to Komtar, the town center. Easy to find food around, walking distance around 3-5 mins from the hotel. I stayed in room 205. The room was spacious but without a window because it's in the center. The bathroom space was just nice, bathroom ”wall” was a piece of large glass covered with blinds. Toilet exhaust fan doesn't seem to work. The room aircond took some time to get cold but it's not very cold although already put to 16°c, full fan speed or turbo mode. Maybe it needs some servicing. For those who are driving, they have a small basement parking with 6 parking lots and the front of the hotel can park up to 3 cars.
