Our stay in the villa yea fields was a real paradise.
It’s impossible to describe how peaceful it is, how relaxing and inspiring.
We have spent 2 most lovely days in this villa thanks to the genuine kindness of the hosts and villa’s situation. Located in the very middle of the tea fields, you can not get enough of this view.
Breakfast is very rich and carefully prepared, the room is spacious and clean. The hosts are the most wonderful people.
We even had a chance to have a private visit to the tea fields which was definitely the aim of our journey to Sri Lanka.
Highly recommend for your stay in the peace and unspoiled nature !
The best hotel for breakfast on this trip, full english. Jetwing’s small villa has only three rooms, a housekeeper, the room is very large, it also has heating, it is very english style, you can go to the jetwing hotel for dinner, walk 5-10 minutes, 10 minutes away from the pink post office, 30 minutes away from the tea factory taxi.
It's a little far from the center, but it's quiet and the garden is well-maintained and beautiful.
The facility itself was clean, but there were a lot of flies, probably because there was a field. Breakfast was delicious.
There was a hair dryer, which was helpful. It was cold at night, but there was no heating. There was a blanket.
The shower had good hot water.

The hotel I had booked had to be cancelled suddenly due to an air conditioner malfunction, so I booked the nearest hotel that looked nice. Despite the reservation being made on the day, the staff were very kind. The hotel was located in an alley off the main street, so it was a little hard to find, but the staff came to pick me up on the main street.
The staff had lovely smiles.
The room was clean and spacious, with great water pressure, hot water, and drainage.
The only amenity provided was soap.
The breakfast was also delicious.
It was close to the Dambulla Cave Temple, and a short walk away there was a supermarket that sold alcohol.
The location was also good.
It was a small but nice hotel.

The temperature of the shower was not wet and good
Wifi was stable without being cut off immediately
There's a dryer, a towel, and tea.
The welcome drink was delicious
・ kind
Close to the bus stop, easy to go to Seigiliya
Pizza Hut is close, so you can get dinner here at the worst
I can spend a leisurely time because there was no noise
It's not facing the pass road and it's a little backwards.
There is no clear ”reception” place, so if you have a question, it feels like asking the house on the premises?
The mosquitoes come in, so they never leave the door open.

The location is very good, halfway up the mountain. The environment outside the window is very good. The room is relatively large, but the facilities are a bit simple. Slippers are not provided. Breakfast is ordered. The coffee needs to be improved. Others are OK.

Very Good
GGuest UserThe Good
The standout feature of The Coffee Bungalow is undoubtedly its staff, particularly Adrian, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. Everyone we encountered was attentive and genuinely warm, making us feel well cared for. The food was another highlight—delicious and thoughtfully prepared. A particularly nice touch was when they packed us a complimentary to-go lunch for our train journey out of Kandy, which was a pleasant and unexpected gesture.
The Bad
The lack of air conditioning was a notable downside, especially given Kandy’s humidity. While the property has a charming colonial feel, the absence of a solid door between the bedroom and bathroom was an odd design choice. Although the toilet and shower do have louvered doors, privacy is somewhat compromised. Another issue was the challenging entry system—we found ourselves locked out one night, which was frustrating and inconvenient.
The Ugly
Unfortunately, the biggest drawback was the ant problem. While some level of bugs is to be expected in a tropical setting, the sheer number of ants, particularly in the bathroom but also in the bedroom, was hard to ignore. It definitely impacted our overall comfort.
Overall, The Coffee Bungalow has a lot of charm and some truly wonderful hospitality, but there are a few quirks and inconveniences that might not suit every traveler. If you’re prepared for a bit of rustic charm and can handle the lack of AC and privacy, the warm service and great food may make up for the downsides.
SSHAOPENGThe location of this hotel is a bit hard to find, but it was really unexpected after entering the hotel. The hotel staff is very good, there will be drinks and drinks, the dinner is really good, and then the breakfast will be prepared in advance in the morning. The only downside is that the room is small, but the scenery outside is very good.

AayachiIt was a wonderful stay.
The room was very clean, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. Since it was directly connected to the garden, we had to deal with the ants getting in (as is the case everywhere in Sri Lanka).
The next day, they offered a shuttle to Sigiriya Rock at 5 a.m., which was extremely helpful! And it was free!
After that, they suggested a safari tour, which cost 14,000 RS for two people! It was at Eco Park!
After that, they told us we could swim in a local lake, so we went there and did. They also took us to a treehouse used by local farmers, where we saw lots of fireflies before we left! This was free of charge.
The hotel owner is very quiet, but warm, and helped us with all the planning!
His younger brother is also adorable and helpful! His cousin is the friendliest, and he's always been happy to share his knowledge of Sri Lanka! We stayed here as a group of two girls, and I found the closeness a bit concerning, so if you're concerned about close contact, you might want to think a little more about how you communicate (lol).
That said, we had a lot of unique experiences here! I highly recommend this lodging!
GGuest Userhad pleasure of staying at this hotel, and I couldn't be more impressed with the level of service and hospitality we received. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and memorable.
The team was incredibly helpful in arranging transportation and suggesting places to visit. They recommended we attend the Tooth Relic Procession and suggested us to visit a waterfall, which turned out to be the most breathtaking waterfall I've ever seen. Their local knowledge truly enhanced our experience.
When our cab dropped us off in the mid , the hotel staff immediately came to pick us up in tuk-tuk.
The staff was consistently polite and accommodating, making us feel welcome and valued throughout our stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place where the staff genuinely cares about making your stay special. Thank you for the experience!
FFrancisco Gonzalez ManzanoJust a short walk from the bus stop, this gem of a guesthouse is hands down the best place to stay in Sri Lanka. The owner goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome, always offering help and thoughtful advice. He even arranged for a local tuk-tuk driver at a very reasonable price, ensuring I had the best experience exploring the area. Every afternoon, he would check in and offer a delightful cup of tea, making the stay feel extra special.
His wife’s cooking is an absolute highlight—breakfast was not just delicious but prepared with so much care, adding a homely touch to every meal. The room itself was super clean, big, and incredibly comfortable. From start to finish, they both made me feel completely at home. I can say this was the best accommodation I experienced during my time in Sri Lanka, and I recommend it to anyone looking for a truly memorable and comfortable stay.
NNhanWe got very nice experience when staying here 1 night. The room was perfect for our family of 3. We just had to pay for the 3rd person's breakfast.
The Logde located nearby the Lion rock and village, easy to find and go to the rock or the Gambulla city within 10min.
The host Isuru was very welcoming from the start and made sure that we had all that we needed. ( hot water, drinking water, towels, AC, fan). We also really appreciated Mr Alain, a french gentleman resident in the sameplace! The room also had all the necessary for us to not be bitten by insects (scents and more). There was also a room for the driver at a very resonnable price. However we found the wifi a little weak, but else everything was good.
In the surroundings it is peaceful, and we woke up to nice little sound of the nature and a well prepared typical srilankan breakfast and fruits! Delicious!
11590125****It's fate that I went to Sri Lanka for the second time. I went there in October last year. It rained heavily almost every day. It happened to rain heavily when I was in Kandy. I took shelter from the rain in front of this hotel. The clerk warmly invited me to rest inside and ordered ice cream. I actually booked this hotel for the first time. The location is great and it’s right by the lake.

It was a small but nice hotel.
GGuest UserThe hotel is ok for folks passing through town. It has the feel of a B&B but the service of a hotel. Staff was friendly. The room was clean but dimly lit. The bedding had some stains and was a bit tattered. The temp got pretty cold at night but that is just a warning to anyone traveling in Nuwara Eliya and not a reflection on the hotel.
I saw some of the other rooms they had and those were much better. We stayed in the Rose room, which they said was the delux room, but the other rooms looked much nicer.
Breakfast was nice. This is a no frills hotel. Not luxury but still pretty good.
