4-Star Hotels in Johor, Malaysia

Booked 2 rooms for 2 nights. Rooms are very spacious at 19th floor. As per our request, rooms are near to the lift. Thank you. Breakfast has variety of spread. Guess it is okay. Would like to feedback and suggestions to the hotel. Rain shower in the bathroom are good but waste a lot of water. May be can install normal shower heads too? The toilet floor is pretty slippery for our elderly parents. May be install hand bars for prevent fall would be good for elderly folks. Thank you.

The  hotel has the best location, it is on top of a mega mall with a supermarket, everything opens from 10am to 10pm. The variety of food made us keep going back. The hotel includes breakfast buffet which it is very decent and has good selection for locals and visitors, and the menu is slightly different everyday for a good surprise. The staff is very friendly, and they greet us every time.  We certainly will stay there again.

I have stayed at Grand Paragon countless times with my family and have always enjoyed our stay. This time, I went with a friend and our experience at Paragon Hotel was no exception. The hotel may looked dated but the cleaniless and friendly staff more than make up for it. My friend was impressed the spacious room. Breakfast spread is also good, though we skipped this round. Best of all, we got upgraded to a deluxe room. I definitely recommend this hotel if you are in JB for a holiday.

Service: From the time we checked in to when we checked out, the service we received from different staff members was professional, polite and personable. Our room (942) was spacious, adequately clean, had comfortable beds, a big bathroom and a partial view of the sea, amongst others. It was lovely to have been able to sit by the window with a drink and take in the view while being grateful for the lovely room assigned to us. :) Breakfast: A self-service chicken noodle station was an interesting feature. Although it was self-service, the kind staff at the egg station went out of his way, literally and figuratively, to make me a bowl of yummy noods as soon as he discerned a culinary disaster was in the making courtesy of yours truly! That gesture of kindness, and many others from the rest, made this stay memorable and filled my heart with fondness for this place. BWH will not be a place I'd go to for a time of mall crawls, cafe hopping or even choice eateries. However, it's a place I'd return to for quiet rest, friendly and kind service that uplifts my soul, and maybe to flex my culinary inadequacies. Just changed my mind - I'll leave the culinary portions to the professionals instead. Oh, and do not miss out on the Healing Garden on the 7th floor. It's a lovingly and thoughtfully tendered private garden - one that will put a smile on your face regardless of your age. This is the first time I've been to a pool area that you'd enter after passing caged chickens, rabbits, birds and a garden that grows herbs, fruits, vegetables and flowering plants! ❤️ If you get to meet the brains behind this Eden, Mr Subra, do stop and have a chat with him. You'll be glad you did so. Fun fact - Mr Subra had named most, if not all, of the animals in his garden. Probably even named the arowana on the 5th floor! There you have it - Berjaya Waterfront Hotel - a place of kindness, healing and rest.

First time heading to mid valley area, thus decide to try out this hotel. After a challenging egate downtime day, I had finally arrived at hotel O PE RO. Pros: Soothing aroma smelly lobby reminds me to Big box hotel. Room was compact but comfortable to sleep well. Giant sogo view motivates my shopping time. Hotel staffs were generous to provide more water as my child was having a nasty sore throat. Thank you. Breakfast - Chicken rendang is towards the sweeter side but bursting with tasty coconut milk. I adored the proficient roti prata chef who won me over with his crispy prata. Cons: As an avid hotel guest swimmer, this is the first time I had to share a pool with a few intelligent crows who dripped their beak into the minimum chlolrine pool. How bizzare.. Safety come first when making your way to Mid valley shopping mall. Many vehicles which include coach buses making their way to the carpark.. Bring along an umbrella and put spf.

From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. The front desk was professional, efficient, and very friendly. Check-in was smooth, and they took the time to explain all the hotel amenities clearly. Throughout our stay, the service was consistently excellent — always polite, helpful, and attentive. The environment of the hotel is also top-notch. The lobby is spacious and beautifully designed, and the entire hotel is kept spotless. Our room was bright, clean, and comfortable, with great attention to detail. The bed was cozy, the facilities were modern, and everything was well-maintained. It was the perfect place to relax after a long day. Overall, we had a fantastic stay — great service, peaceful atmosphere, and a very comfortable environment. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quality hotel experience!

Stayed in a superior room. Very basic amenities in toilet includes 2 toothbrushes and a tiny bar soap. Breakfast provided has limited varieties. Went to the gym but was disappointed there is a water dispenser but no water as the empty water bottle was not replaced.

I stayed at Sunway Big Box once last year and gave it a full 5-star rating — it was new, and everything was excellent. This second stay, however, fell a little short. I booked for two nights and had requested a birthday surprise in the room, but this was not fulfilled. On arrival, I was given the wrong room. Shortly after entering, I received a call from reception apologising and assuring me they would decorate the room at the next available moment. I told them they could do it the next day after housekeeping. Unfortunately, nothing happened until I checked out. A good hotel should maintain both service and facilities consistently. This time, I noticed several issues: -The iron’s cord was fraying and unsafe for use. -One of the towels was torn. -The sink drained slowly. -On the second day, housekeeping did not provide a floor mat — I had to request one. -The pillows were uncomfortable, though I appreciate that extra pillows were provided upon request. While I still enjoyed the convenience of the nearby mall and shops — limited but adequate — I feel the hotel should review its maintenance and service to ensure guests keep returning.

The room is big, the location is great, can avoid traffic jam if you guys stay here. The service is 3/5 ☹️. Sorry guys, I understand that this hotel is quiet old but please maintain the iron and iron board. The rest okay. Will come back to stay here again soon.

Repeat my stay but I'm disappointed this time. My room was not as clean as I expected—sticky floor and dusty walls. The water dispenser machine was not working and the lights were exceptionally dim which made the stay uncomfortable. The ventilator in the toilet was not working and I was told that it was due to the swimming pool renovation. The swimming pool was unavailable and the gym had machines which were outdated and dusty. The location was convenient, but unfortunately, that was the only positive point. It has a mini mart at the lobby. I also found the breakfast to be good with many varieties of food. Overall, I feel that Trove hotel does not live up to its rating and needs serious improvements in cleanliness and facilities. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and makes changes for future guests.
