5-Star Hotels in Johor, Malaysia

Amari JB is well located, being a short walk away after you clear immigration at Johor CIQ. Located behind a shopping mall and surrounded by food options, it's perfect for a quick getaway. Despite my late checkin, I received a free upgrade to a deluxe room (thank you Amari!), which was a great night's rest. Only complaint is the toilet which doesn't have a spare cubicle for showering, which is a weird design. Otherwise no issues.

The room was spacious and clean, offering a comfortable stay. However, the soundproofing cound be improved, as disturbing noise from the corridor in the early morning was quite noticeable which affected the quality of rest. Breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, but the hygiene fell short of 5-star expectations. Food was left uncovered, flies were present, and staff did not take any action to address the issue.

This is probably 4th or 5th time staying at the club room. We like to stay here because the Service and cleanliness is good. The service at the club lounge is good as always. The only inconvenience we had this round was that our room was only ready at 6.30pm 😐.

The room is spacious with lots of family activities such as Waterpark in the hotel, Archery, small little playground, swimming pool. The breakfast is intercontinental buffet breakfast but the varieties and taste is only 6/10. Lucky there was a Grind cafe which serves better coffee and cakes The kids indoor playground is pretty restricted as parents are not allowed inside and only age 4 to enter The room are spacious but still feels sandy even though they share that they have clean the room. Overall experience is ok for a short family trip.

I staying in a non smoking room. During night sleep, can still smell people smoking. Upon checking during check out, found out that these pest smokers will smoke inside the toliet to avoid detector in the room plus through the ventilation fan in the toilet into other guest room. Feel it a slow death for non smoker and their families sleeping in this hotel especially in the nights creeping on them. Totally disappointed in staying a non smoking room actually still a smoker area..☹️

Very nice, neat and clean hotel. Lot of indoor activities for kids to enjoy. IN house hotel so you can easily come to hotel room after your theme park activity. Worth to stay I have brought Yearly Passes for Parks, so definitely stay again.

the room was clean, has a beautiful view and seems quite well maintained for a 6 year old hotel! however, the service is disappointing. we checked in early and signed paperwork for room xxx however when we came back after dinner, we were suddenly informed that our room number has changed. when we enquired on what changed, why it changed and how I signed paperwork indicating a different room number, they simply shrugged and said my signature on their guest registration form is not confirmed. it was nearly midnight when we were contesting with the duty manager about how our assigned rooms were abruptly changed. he could not explain how the rooms suddenly changed and could not get us the room that was originally assigned, and the same room that we signed paperwork for. ultimately, he upgraded us to a different room type but honestly it felt odd and shady. why would my assigned room suddenly changed? there was no communication at all, it was only brought up when I remembered it was a different room… it was distasteful despite the upgrade to soothe our spirits, there was no apology btw. OH and before we insisted on an upgrade, the duty manager lied and said they were full and were going to assign us to a low floor. 2 mins later though, he relented and suddenly vacant high floor rooms became available… they’re definitely unapologetic and have a shady check in procedure. I’d probably opt for another hotel next time…

I really enjoy stay at this resort , calm & clean Breakfast was nice with longer duration period than other hotel @ resort (6am-10am) Definitely recommended for staycation Will come again next time Process of registration check in & check out less than 10min No deposit since only 1 night stay Staff really nice & helpful All amenities completed in 1 room Really enjoy the show , thanks for providing smart tv , smart air conditioner, smart light .

A chill quiet hotel to lepak and away from the crowd Room is generally clean and big. Plus points is the washing machine that I used to wash my clothes before I go back. Go back can rest, no need wash clothes. Amenities: I didn't use pool or gym as I stayed to lepak in room after I go out shopping till I drop. I also the type lazy to exercise, so I in room exercise on bed by watching TV and snacking. Service: the staff all very nice. They do their best to help you. I ask for hotel room amenities, and they send very fast game le. Location : far from all the busy malls and attractions. But I no complaint, peaceful away from people.

My short staycation with my familiy before the school starts. Almost 1 year we did not stay here due to some previous experiences during my wife pregnancy but as we've missed so much the place we booked again and we had a great time there.
