5-Star Hotels in Penang, Malaysia

We stayed in a king-size bedroom with a sea view. The room was clean and comfortable, but the design wasn’t quite what we expected—the sea view window was smaller than we had hoped, as we imagined a larger, more open view. The price was a bit on the higher side, especially when compared to other places nearby that offer two-bedroom studios for similar rates. I believe the hotel is still quite new, which may explain the pricing. Despite that, we enjoyed our stay! Since our room wasn’t ready at check-in, the hotel kindly offered us a late check-out as compensation, which we really appreciated. Overall, a great experience with thoughtful service.

We had two nights at this property. Hotel has free parking. Hotel is nice and staffs are very friendly. Room 1514 seaview was spacious and clean and located 30minutes walk to Gurvey hawker centre. The nearest supermarket is in Gurney Paragon and Gurvey Plaza about 20mins walk. There is Gurney Walk next to this hotel but no supermarket to buy fruits. It was alright for us as we drove around and the view was my main attraction.

Beautiful well appointed room and with the 3M water filter couldn’t be more practical, comfy, clean and lovely bathroom fitted w rain shower and his and hers — superbly spacious and close to all the major highlights in the area ! Perfection.

Had a nice one night stay at Golden Sands. Received warm welcome and service by friendly staff. Room was huge and well equipped but does feel it has seem better days. Prob due for room update. On-site amenities were very impressive, easy access to the beach although not swimmable. Activities for patrons were aplenty. Kudos to the staff for hosting these activities and keeping the atmosphere lively for the patrons. Overall was a good stay and will visit again.

The hotel located in a strategic location, just right opposite the northam beach cafe with varieties of hawker foods. And walking distance to next building to get starbucks coffee

Excellent services from all the staff, especially from reception. Spacious bed, amenities are perfect, comfortable desk area and sofa bed. Extremely satisfied for the stay. High recommended

Hell yeah for my holiday/me-time trip💥💥💥🫡.Warm and friendly greetings from the front desk staff and they are helpful and friendly. Get to check in early because I reach there early due to the morning flight. As for my check-out time, again I received warm and friendly greetings from the front desk male staff. The environment was relaxing, and the room that I got was 5 stars by itself. I will be coming back to stay but this time I will bring my whole family to stay with me. Thank you so much.

Overall, I was quite satisfied with my stay. However, there are a few areas that could be improved. The bed sheet had some stains, which made me wonder whether it was not changed or not properly cleaned. Additionally, I found some dinosaur-shaped biscuits under the bed, indicating that the room may not have been thoroughly cleaned by the housekeeping staff. I hope this can be improved for future guests 😊

Everything about Light Hotel is excellent from checking in until check out. Staff was friendly, they open the door for me, guide me to the parking bays and greet me warmly. Room size was average but clean, bed comfortable, air conditioned cold and water pressure strong even though Penang was experiencing 3 days water cut during my stay. The hotel stored sufficient water for its guests. Well done! Breakfast was well diversified and tasty. Will return to stay if I am in Seberang Prai area.
