Location: easy to find and surrounding is really nice to walk and good street food around.
Parking: a separate parking bays that needs to tag in with either of the payment cards for access. Upon leaving the hotel, need to remember to validate the card for hotel guest free parking facility. It is a non-covered parking so if rain expect inconvenience and if sunshine expect excess heat in the car. NOT really friendly but acceptable.
Room: good bed good pillows, floor not so clean can see some hairfall wasn't wiped off. Bath tub pipe maybe a bit old or seldom in used hence the water flowed out was yellowish. The linen is soft but can know they are quite old, that old linen smell is quitw obvious.
Aircond: is either we don't know how to operate, it can't seemed to be able to be adjusted to the temperature we want. It will become quite warm in the midnight.
Sound proof: SUPER BAD 👎 Imagine we will know what is happening exactly in the bathroom and toilet. The noise from the road till midnight is even clearer. We are staying at lvl 8 and the tallest is lvl 10.
Service: Good hospitality and polite.
Restaurant breakfast: not up to par, honest feedback.

The location is excellent, right in the heart of the city and within walking distance to shopping malls, popular attractions, and many food options. It’s very convenient for both leisure and short stays.
The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious, with a nice city view. The bed was comfortable, and the basic amenities were well provided. Housekeeping did a good job maintaining cleanliness throughout the stay.

Exceeded expectations, this was the best hotel experience during our trip to Malaysia, which covered four cities (Kuala Lumpur, Semporna, Kota Kinabalu, and Malacca)! The hotel is very cozy and just the right size. Its location is excellent, just a few minutes' walk to the Malacca River banks, Jonker Street, and the Dutch Square (Red House). We were on the 15th floor, overlooking the picturesque 'S' bend of the Malacca River. The room was spacious and well-designed, with a sofa that could be used as a child's bed.

I extended my stay for one night and both my parents and my room key card kept deactivating for several times. Imagine you need to walk all the way to the lift, realised the card is not working, then walk back to the reception to keep validating your room card. I've went to the reception the night before original check out to inform the staff. And furthermore when I am out sightseeing during the day, someone called me to confirm I am extending my stay, yet the card still kept deactivating.
Housekeeping is also not done when we returned to the room at 3.30pm. We need to request them to come and it delayed our shower and our subsequent plans. Not only that, they took away the toilet mat and did not replace it and we need to call housekeeping again and wait for it to be replaced before we can take a shower. There is also a leak in the bathroom so the entire housekeeping and pipe fixing took really long.
The cleaning of the pool is also done in the morning at 8.30am after it is opened, while the pool closes at 8pm at night.
All the staff are nice and trying their best, but it looks like they are understaffed and could not perform their required duties as housekeeping is not done in time and the pool is cleaned during opening times.
For the price charged and their rating as a 5 star hotel, the amenities and service just doesn't match. I would not recommend.

I stayed at Birkin International Hotel in Melaka from Tuesday to Thursday. As the hotel is still new, I understand that some facilities and security features may not yet be fully operational—for example, access control requiring a room card to enter guest floors. I also understand that, as a newly opened hotel, some rooms may not have undergone complete inspections.
Upon check-in, the first room assigned to us had several defects: the toilet basin was choked, and the basin handle in the small kitchen area had come off. We contacted the front desk for assistance regarding the choked basin, and they offered us a room change. A staff member whom I believe was the hotel manager came up personally, escorted us to another room, and informed us that we had been upgraded. We truly appreciated this gesture and the prompt service provided.
We checked in around 3:00 p.m. and were feeling hungry, so we decided to try the hotel food. We ordered two slices of cake, fish and chips, and pizza. The food was nice and delicious, and we genuinely enjoyed it.
However, I would like to highlight a concern regarding the breakfast experience. As this is a five-star hotel, I expected a high standard of hygiene with zero tolerance for flies in the dining area. Unfortunately, I noticed several flies during breakfast. On one occasion, during the nasi lemak service, I saw a fly land on a bowl of eggs. I pointed this out to the staff, but they only removed the piece of egg that the fly had landed on. This was quite alarming, and as a result, I did not dare to try the nasi lemak at all.
Later, I noticed one of the staff attempting to smash a fly while wearing gloves. This made me wonder whether the gloves would be changed afterward if the fly was successfully killed. This raised further concerns about food hygiene. Because of this, I became worried and chose to eat only items that were freshly cooked on the spot, such as curry noodles.
Overall, I felt disappointed with the breakfast hygiene standards and sincerely hope the hotel will take this matter more seriously. I believe Birkin International Hotel has great potential, and with improved attention to cleanliness and food safety, it can offer a much better experience for guests.
Thank you for taking the time to review this feedback.

From the moment I arrived, the friendly and courteous staff made me feel welcomed and valued. Their warm hospitality truly enhanced my experience.
One of the delightful touches was the welcome amenities, featuring a freshly baked cookie that was simply delicious—a perfect treat after a long journey.
The room itself was spacious and well-appointed, easily accommodating an extra bed or two, which is fantastic for families or groups traveling together. I appreciated the layout and comfort, allowing me to relax after a day of exploring.
Additionally, the hotel's location is a significant advantage. It offers easy access to many of the city's attractions, and the convenience of using Grab for transportation made navigating the area a breeze.
Overall, my stay at DoubleTree Melaka was a delightful experience, thanks to the attentive staff, comfortable accommodations, and great location. I look forward to returning in the future!
Had a lovely family stay at PARKROYAL Resort A’Famosa. Kids loved the pool, lounge access was a nice touch, and the spacious, clean room made it super comfortable. It’s near to safari and water themed park.
On the flip side, Wi‑Fi was a bit unstable, breakfast queues were long, and having a car definitely makes things easier. TV smart apps also couldn’t access Netflix / Disney plus. But you can screen mirror with your phone if need to. Every night 8pm, they do have movie night at the lobby area if not wrong.
Amenities - can improve more and add arcade room and etc.
Dinner - w/o car, you may find it difficult to go town. It’s a bit far as well , 1hr drive. We just want to chill in the family room, we ordered grab food.
Overall, still a great spot for families to relax and enjoy. 🌿✨

We were welcomed warmly by the staffs, with cold desserts during a hot day, after a long journey. Parking was available for guests, easy access, lowered car friendly. Every staffs was friendly. Lovely atmosphere all around. Nearby Jonker Street and other tourist attractions. Breakfast was delicious, a variety of food choices, buffet and ala-carte. Room was clean and spacious. Staff set up aroma candle during evening time too, room smells great, and they cleaned up the room a little while at it too. Overall excellent service! Highly recommended place. Thank you!

Many years ago, I stayed at this hotel and had a very pleasant experience. However, during my recent stay on 22-Nov-2025, I was surprised by the decline in quality. The room’s air-conditioning was very warm, and my wife was unable to sleep well throughout the night. In addition, the showerhead could not stay secured in its holder and kept dropping, which even resulted in it hitting my head. It is disappointing to see such poor maintenance. I don’t think I will stay here again. Although the staff were very friendly, I am extremely disappointed overall. For the amount I paid, the experience was simply not worth it.
