3-Star Hotels in Johor, Malaysia

I’ve stayed at this hotel more than 10 times, but this stay was by far the most disappointing one. The room was very dusty, both of us couldn’t sleep well as our noses kept itching every time we turned. Cleanliness really wasn’t up to standard this time. It’s also not our first time celebrating a birthday here, and while I understand requests are subject to availability, I did indicate in the booking that we were returning to celebrate my partner’s birthday. It was quite disappointing to find the room completely plain without any gesture or effort. Considering the room rate wasn’t cheap this round, it’s a pity that the experience fell short. What keeps us coming back has always been the location — walking distance to City Square and Jalan Ah Fook — but I’m starting to wonder if I’m asking for too much as a regular guest.

The hotel's location is excellent, situated conveniently near the Customs, Immigration, and Quarantine (CIQ) checkpoint and several malls, offering easy access to a variety of dining options. However, the rooms are somewhat compact, and the breakfast buffet is fairly standard, lacking an eggs station. On a positive note, there's a lively pub adjacent to the hotel featuring good music, and Grab transportation is readily accessible.”

Bedsheets and linens are not exactly crispy clean but the location is great for nearby shopping malls (Toppen, IKEA and Aeon). Ok for a one night stay.

We had such a wonderful time at Austin Park Hotel! The stay was made even better with their complimentary breakfast, giving us a great start to the day. And the best surprise? Just downstairs from the hotel sits a famous Lok Lok stall that’s a must-try for food lovers. Loved by both locals and travelers, it offers an incredible variety of skewers for as little as RM1 per stick – perfect for a tasty and budget-friendly supper after a day of fun.

Booked this specially for my toddler. He loves the slides and climbing up to the loft. Room was clean and had lots of natural light. Only thing was projector relote wasn't working. Swimming pool was like an infinity pool overlooking the greenery. Easy drive to eateries and mall opposite.

the hotel is located quite a distance away from the popular eateries. though the hotel's deco is pretty unique and clean. however after having read some reviews from other reviewers, the hotel room indeed has a very musky smell despite having to switch the aircon colder. the shampoo and body soap provided smell terrible too. overall the hotel is considered very dated, and the toilet is also very small. prob the only good part is the hotel's location is a distance away from the popular spots where the surrounding is not so noisy as there are no hot entertainment outlets surrounding the hotel area. soundproofing is definitely lacking coz the housekeeping work area is just outside the room and can literally hear all the sounds coming from the housekeeping activities in the morning. unfortunately, will not consider coming back to this hotel unless certain basic things are overhauled. prob more recommended for solo travellers who want a quiet night stay and do not mind walking to the hot spots for good food and entertainment.

Beyond expectation. This hotel is so good and clean!! The service is top notch, breakfast is not bad, people is friendly. They even have welcome drink, snack in the hotel room that serve for free! This is my second time. Still my favourite hotel in batu pahat.

This is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I arrived at the hotel around 10 PM, feeling exhausted after a nearly 7-hour journey from Kuala Lumpur to Johor Bahru. To make things worse, the shower room was clogged right after the first person used it. I also noticed that the toilet and the shower share the same pipe and the plumbing is very terrible design. We called housekeeping, but they were unable to fix the issue. That night, we had to use the toilet and shower in another double-bed room on the same floor, just two or three doors down from ours. They promised that maintenance would come the next day to fix it. Last but not least, although the toilet issue was eventually resolved, the TV in our room wasn’t working. Because of this, the kids couldn’t enjoy watching the cartoon channels, which was quite disappointing.

We were given another room after the air con in the first room could not be controlled. Happy with the room and the full amenities given. Free parking and good location were additional plus points.

It’s conveniently located for those who like to go to KSL to shop. The instructions (over WhatsApp) to collect the card access key from the mailbox and to unlock the main door were easy to follow. The service staff is very prompt and cordial in their response over WhatsApp. Appreciate their advice to avoid taking the lift between 1030am-3pm as the wait is long but for those who are travelling out during those time, be prepared to wait especially if you’re staying at a high floor. The corridor leading to our unit is unclean and rubbish wasn’t cleared for 2 days. Our level 25 unit is simple and cozy for 6 pax. It is generally clean and has the basic amenities.
