3-Star Hotels in Johor, Malaysia

I stayed at Fives Hotel for 3 days and 2 nights, and it remains my top pick for 3-star hotels in JB — this is actually my fourth time here! Everything about the stay continues to impress me. The amenities and toiletries provided are comparable to those in a 4-star hotel, and I appreciated that two bottles of water were replenished daily. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast spread is generous and satisfying. The location is also a huge plus — it’s convenient, close to the customs, and within easy reach of shopping malls. All in all, a fantastic stay once again. Can’t wait to be back!

Subject: Feedback on Room Condition – Request for Immediate Attention (Room 1119) Dear Hotel Crystal Crown Management, My name is Lily, and I recently stayed at your hotel in Room 1119 from 28 June to 29 June. I would like to provide feedback regarding the condition of the room. I hope the management can look into these issues and take appropriate action: 1. The towel rack and toilet roll holder are rusty. 2. The shower curtain has stains and appears dirty. 3. The bathtub has black stains and was not properly cleaned. 4. The air-conditioning was not working properly – the room was very hot and uncomfortable. 5. The room lighting is too dim, making the room feel dark and gloomy. I have attached photos for your reference. I chose Hotel Crystal Crown expecting a clean and comfortable stay. However, these issues affected my overall experience. Staying for a night only- Overall, more than satisfactory experience. Cleanliness was on par, could be better in maintenance, uses good quality stuff like sanitary, aircon and ceiling fan however could maintain them better. Location is pretty convenient if you only hang out here. Car park was very useful and safe, once parked till checkout, unless travel out of this area. All staff are friendly.

Deluxe Double Room No. 319 is quite spacious. Appreciated the cleanliness and friendly service of the hotel. It offers good value for money and a convenient for me in attending class beside this hotel upstair last Friday to Sunday.

overall is good if you’re looking for a short stay. The only few things to me was the little poop stain from the toilet bowl (probably due to blind spot), no toothbrush and no liquid shower gel provided, but can easily get it from the convenience store nearby. Other than that, the bed, A/C, ceiling fan gave me a good night sleep.

I especially love the quality shampoo and bath that exude a pleasing fragrance. But a downer was I realised the bath was very diluted to the point of being watery. Gave feedback at the reception and they assured me that housekeeping had been informed. I second guess that the bath was so good that the previous guest pilfered most of it. The complimentary breakfast was simple, just eggs, toast and beverage (coffee and tea only). But I must say the eggs were done perfectly. The hotel is not near eateries, perhaps that’s why breakfast was provided. The only eatery within it’s premises is a bak kut teh shop.

My booking was ”upgraded” to another hotel in which i missed out the msg / email. So I arrived at the hotel (at 4.30pm on 16 May) tht i booked and I went to the counter. 2 front desk service officers were on duty. The guy asked for my name and tried to check for my booking. He cant find my booking and realized i shd be at the other building. Here's when the issue came.. Since I was not aware of the change, I politely asked why wasn't I informed and why the change? This guy (his name is Ryan) completely ignored me. he just stared at his computer. I have no idea if he can't hear me but I asked again and he kept quiet. Till his female colleague helped me answer, saying that they have informed via Trip.com msg. I was disappointed by that guy's response. Went to the other building. Service was okay. Hotel and room was clean. But the walls are thin. I can hear when people are walking. The tv remote cant work. There is no toulet paper. Abit disappointing for the price that i paid for the room. And there's no space to park a motorbike.

My fav stay when in JB coz close to my destination. Nowadays there are a lot more amenities in the area like laundry, restaurants, pharmacy, convenient store etc. Best of all it has lift facility. Hopefully the hotel can maintain its good service. One issue is parking but will be plenty after peak hours for the ahops

Its a good place and nice place to stay. I went alone..if you planning ti gi with family and friends or even couple also its suitable..

It was an okay stay. Cleanliness was okay. The receptionist was not very friendly to customers. If you're coming just to rest and sleep, can consider due to its strategic location.
