Airbnb style rented thru Trip Platform. Doesn’t have your daily housekeeping. Drinking/Mineral water also not provided. You have to purchase yourself, no water filter/cooler in the room. Suggest buy from nearby KK Mart. Car park was damn crazy, stayed at Level 25 but allocated a guest parking lot at Level 11. The speed ramp is confusing for ppl at first. “Resident” carpark start at level 5. Every level of parking is actually two floors

Location was convenient, we checked in for the 2nd floor when it was repainted 1 Month ago. Since the 2nd floor had no access to windows hence no ventilation. The smell of paint was heavy and suffocating to bear with. We requested a room change and the staff said there were no more rooms (although there were other rooms available on Trip.com) and we were given just another key card to get some ventilation when opening the doors, mind you the whole floor was painted and ventilation was poor so that makes no difference. Only thing to do is to keep your washroom switch on so the fan will at least get some of that toxic paint smell out of the room. Oh and btw, TV does not work+the cabinets smell awful (not really a big issue if you dont care or use them). I would recommend elsewhere until the smell of paint wears off.

Our windowless room was in the basement but it was clean and very comfortable. Bottled water was also provided. However, the air conditioning had a slight musty smell. There are water dispensers on floors 2-4 (labeled 1F-3F locally), so it was fine even after we finished the complimentary bottles we received initially. The hotel is close to JB Sentral Station, and they offered luggage storage, which was great as we could start sightseeing right after we arrived.

Pros: The location is excellent, with plenty of halal dining options nearby and a small shopping mall just a few minutes’ walk away. The hotel is conveniently located about 25 minutes from the Mini Zoo and only 10 minutes from Desaru Beach. The room rates are affordable, and we were pleasantly surprised to receive a connecting room, which we greatly appreciated. The room was also clean and comfortable. Cons: One major inconvenience was that the refrigerator automatically switched off whenever we left the room. After spending a long, hot day outdoors, it was disappointing to return and find our drinks no longer cold. On our first night, we requested an extra towel and toothbrush set since there were three guests in the room. Unfortunately, the items were not delivered, even after we followed up at the front desk. There was also no floor mat provided. Thankfully, our experience improved the next day thanks to Zamre at the front desk. He was friendly, helpful, and made sure we received everything we needed. He also ensured our room was ready by 1 PM. Zamre’s excellent service truly stood out and made a positive difference to our stay. He is probably the main reason we would choose to return to Fives Desaru on our next visit. Overall, the hotel offers good value for money, and with improvements in housekeeping responsiveness, the experience would be even better.

This would be my third time staying at this hotel. The location is very convenient , easy to get around JB, also near a mall where I can shop for food and other stuff. The plus point is the breakfast, although they have the same menu for almost everyday, they do change a few to make it less boring like different type of nasi goreng, mee or meehoo also a switch from mee kari, beehoon soup and lontong. It adds options Would prefer to have an in room iron but it was stated ironing station are somewhere along the floor corridor. Thanks to the staff Ms Siti for helping me solve the issue with the elusive iron.😆. Staff are all nice and professional.

The place is spacious with 3 double beds. The location is unbeatable with eateries surrounding it. There is a fridge and dining table.. However, when I had trouble unlocking the gate, my calls to the management went unanswered. My messages were replied by ai. Repetitive, polite messages that did nothing to help us. In the end, the security officer of the building helped us. Many thanks to him! He saved our day! The ac in the master bedroom wasn't working. We ended up not sleeping in the master bedroom. We booked level 15 and got level 12 instead. Management kept insisting level 12 was booked under my name even though i have provided the screenshot of my booking showing level 15. No hand-wash was provided as well. All in, if I were to turn a blind eye to the above, I might book again. I love its location, affordable price and space. The view from the 12th floor is pretty too.

Overall, very clean and comfortable staying here for 1night. Location also strategic, but if calling any delivery rmb to double check for the address coz the default will set at the opposite building. The picture same as the physical. Self check in also convenient 🙂

I choose this area because it's near my friend house. And quite a lot of restaurants (Chinese food) near by no matter day and night. 15 min to Pelangi area. The hotel is quiet. Overa is consider clean, our room without window, is bit damp. The aircon leaking out of sudden during midnight.

The location is okay, quite near to KSL but not worth walking there. Room size is huge, enough for group of 6 people! Price point, this place is okay! Hotel staff were also very friendly. The only downside is theres dustmites on the bedsheets, and theres a stain on the carpet.

This hotel exceeded my expectations! The room was spotless, and the bedding was so soft and comfortable, I had a fantastic night's sleep. The service was the real highlight – everyone from the front desk to the housekeeping staff was warm, attentive, and always happy to help. The overall vibe was cozy and relaxing; I didn't want to leave. I highly recommend it to anyone who prioritizes cleanliness and comfort. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit. Plus, the breakfast was absolutely delicious!
