1. Location- excellent if one wishes to be closeby the airport. In my case, it is closeby to a wedding venue, i.e. Ar-Riyadah Residence Hall. Currently, some roads closeby the hotel and around the airport are being upgraded.
2. Service is great with easy check-in & check out processes. All staff are friendly & helpful. Something to highlight is the call received asking if room is ok & if anything else is needed. One can even choose the type of pillow for a good night sleep!
3. Amenities are great-room comes with toiletries & coffee/tea kit. There are the gym & swimming pools. Kids swimming pool comes with slides & breakfast has a good spread of food. Besides the Lagenda Restaurant that serves breakfast, there is a Kopitiam cafe that opens till 2am if one decides to go for a late snack.
Raia hotel has always been my 1st choice if I come to Terengganu. To tge staff & management: Keep up the great job!
The receptionist is not friendly. the swimming pool was not clean on regular basis.
the facilities and building is getting old and required maintainance.
Good:
- Check-in process was smooth and fast
- Room was clean, tidy & spacious, enough space for muslims to pray comfortably, and could accommodate an extra single bed
- The smart tv has netflix installed so we had a great time chilling & watching movies
- Strong water pressure
- Adequate variety of food for breakfast, nasi kerabu was delicious
- Swimming pool was clean & well-maintained
Bad:
- Shower cream was very watery like it has been diluted, had to use the provided bar soap for better lathering
- bath tub’s plug was very loose, luckily i brought my own plastic cover to fill in water for warm bath
My stay in Kuala Terengganu was exceptional. A room upgrade was provided due to full occupancy, resulting in a spacious and impeccably clean room and bathroom. The air conditioning functioned perfectly, and the hotel's proximity to numerous restaurants, particularly Nasi Dagang Atas Tol, was highly convenient.
Stayed two nights with my parents. The island views are truly spectacular. However, several aspects fell short:
1. **Snorkeling was disappointing:** The nearby spots lacked vibrant coral and fish, making it unattractive.
2. **No nightlife:** The resort had **zero nighttime activities** after dinner (no shows, music, events). Evenings were very quiet.
3. **Limited amenities:** Beyond the basics (pool, bar, main restaurant), options felt sparse. No spa, attractive shop, or extra facilities.
4. **Unusable game room:** It was **not air-conditioned, stuffy, and hot**, making it uncomfortable. Equipment felt old.
The room was clean, staff were friendly, and food was fine with a vast variety of choices. Overall, Incredible, peaceful views. Do Avoid if you want Good snorkeling, evening entertainment, varied amenities, or a comfortable game room. The location is beautiful, but the resort itself needs more to offer.
Swift check in. Booked double, but given twin. On third floor. Room was spacious. But unfortunately, as the third floor is near the kitchen, and the cooking smell entered the room. I had to use towel to cover the space between the floor and door. I called the housekeeping twice to deodorise the room, which only worked temporarily. Request to switch room was denied, due to ‘full occupancy’. Ordered ‘fish&chips’ from the room service menu. Unfortunately the fish was not fresh as expected. Quite frustrating.
Its time to upgrade the size of syampoo & bodywash.
Otherwise, the breakfast has good choice of buffet. Nice view from the sunrise.
We stayed at Mimpi Perhentian Resort Hotel at the end of June for 3 days and 2 nights, and we regretted not booking a longer stay. Our sea view triple room was perfect for our little family of three, including our six-year-old boy. The resort offers the best views on Long Beach, and we loved the chill vibes in the morning and the lively atmosphere in the evening and night.
Booking all our island trips through the hotel was super convenient since we could charge everything to our room. We did snorkeling during our island tour, which is an absolute must-do when you’re on the island. The rooms were exceptionally clean, with comfortable beds, strong air conditioning, and great water pressure for showers. The saltwater hotel pool was also charming and a great spot to relax.
We appreciated having the staff handle our luggage and bags, bringing them from the jetty at Kuala Besut all the way to our room at the hotel itself, which was superb! The boat ride to the island was also great, seeming more luxurious than the ones offered by the other resorts on the island.
Each and every single staff throughout the hotel was amazing and friendly; making our stay even more enjoyable. Breakfast was just okay, but no worries! There are plenty of cafes just a stone’s throw away with affordable, really good food covering almost all cuisines. A beautiful stroll away, these cafes added to the charm of our stay.
Mimpi Perhentian truly is a dream come true. We can’t wait to return!
The staff at this hotel were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were immaculate and very comfortable. Specially the Pakistani man and the Malay lady very helpful
But they don’t have coffee inside the room
It was an awesome stay at Arena Boutique Hotel. The room is clean and comfortable. They also provide water dispenser. The location is also good, there is a restaurant just beside the hotel and it is walkable distance to Pulau Warisan & Chinatown.

CcardeoszaLocated by the beach. We grew up coming here since childhood. Now we repeat the memories bring our children here. Nothing much changed. You should join turtle release activities

GGuest UserI had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel welcomed from the moment I arrived. The rooms were spotless, modern, and comfortable, with a stunning view that added to the experience. The amenities, including the pool and dining options, were top-notch, and the food was delicious. Everything was perfectly organized, and the attention to detail was impressive. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable and relaxing stay!

RRoya91I wanna give some information about the garden villa and ocean villa, garden villa is way better than ocean villa , it has private yard, it’s a little far from the lobby for more privacy and peace, but ocean villa is near the restaurant and it’s not private, the residence of gardens villa should pass by ocean villas to get to their room and it’s not even beach front, it doesn’t have private yard so the guests couldn’t open the curtains and use the view 🫣it should be half price of garden villa but it’s more expensive 😑
the toilet and bathroom doesn’t have door but has view to garden.
The stuff are great. 👍🏼
The food is the best in the island but totally is average.
Snorkeling with firus was amazing.😝
Everything is perfect, I highly recommend this villa.🫶🏻
