Pros: Recently renovated, conveniently located on a nice street with many restaurants nearby, and close to the famous Istiklal Street. Despite this, the street itself is quiet at night.
Cons: The walls are very thin, and it gets incredibly noisy when people leave their rooms for breakfast or chat in the hallway (everything is very audible). The main issue is that the room doors have door closers, so when you exit, they slam shut with such force that it shakes the bed. My conclusion is this: if you're an early bird and wake up for breakfast, this won't bother you. However, as someone on vacation, I couldn't sleep past 9-10 AM; starting at 7:30 AM, everyone would head to breakfast, and the noise wouldn't subside until around noon.
Also, the cleaning service was mediocre. During my week-long stay, the bed linens were never changed, only the towels. They didn't do any wet cleaning.
Would I choose this hotel again? Probably not for myself. Would I recommend it? Possibly, but it's not a definite yes. While it's beautiful and has a great location, it's simply too noisy inside. Unfortunately, the external beauty couldn't outweigh the feeling of discomfort and the lack of peace and quiet.
On a side note, the staff were wonderful!

The in-room air conditioning needs to be manually activated at the front desk, including temperature and time settings. Some staff members are incredibly helpful, friendly, and willing to assist, while others are rather aloof. The shower pressure is extremely weak, the water isn't warm enough, and it constantly leaks onto the bathroom floor outside the shower. My friend, staying in another room, reported decent water pressure but also significant leakage. The 6th-floor rooftop, which offers good views, was closed for maintenance and inaccessible. This place is only suitable for those who are particularly curious about or have a strong fondness for hostels.
The room is spacious and features modern decor. It's a small hotel and doesn't offer breakfast. However, the surrounding area is quite lively, with an MM Migros supermarket and the metro station nearby, making it very convenient.

I was looking for a hotel with a good location near the metro and with grocery stores nearby, and this hotel fit the bill. The room was very spacious, and the large windows let in a lot of light. It had everything I needed, from a fridge to its own shower and toilet. There's also air conditioning, but I didn't test it. The room description mentioned breakfast, but I can't comment on it – either I wasn't told about it, or I missed it during check-in. Another plus for this hotel is the elevator. The staff are quick to resolve any issues, which is also a bonus. I'd happily stay here again if the opportunity arises.

This is a good hotel at an affordable price on Istiklal Street, not far from Taksim Metro. The hotel entrance is through a sweets and souvenir shop. There's an elevator and a regular staircase. The reception is on the second floor. Breakfast is served on the rooftop, which also has an open terrace with excellent city views. The Turkish breakfast is quite good. The rooms are reasonably clean, and trash is emptied daily. Drinking water, tea, and coffee are replenished every day. The shower has liquid soap, shampoo, body wash, and towels. The tableware in the room is disposable, and there's a kettle. The bedding is good quality and clean. There's a TV and wireless internet. The WiFi works well closer to the corridor, but the speed might be low in the far corners of the room. Overall, I liked the hotel; I didn't encounter any issues, and the owner is a pleasant person. It can be a bit noisy from the street in the room, especially on holidays and Fridays, but it doesn't really hinder relaxation. I recommend this hotel for your stay in the Taksim area!

A good hotel, conveniently located and well-connected to public transportation. It's very easy to get to any part of the city. Plenty of currency exchange offices and banks nearby. The food is delicious, with several types of cheese and sausage always available, and the homemade cookies and pastries are delicious. Special thanks for the pastries. The only downside is the elevator; it's slow at times, but that's no big deal! Rooms X03 (floor X) have a nice sea view; from floors 5-7, you get a sea view. A shuttle is available, but it's better and cheaper to book on trip.com.

Let me break down my review:
**Pros:**
1. The staff were excellent. They were proactive in their communication, and every time I returned, they'd actively stand up and greet me with a ”HOW ARE YOU.”
2. The front desk staff were also very helpful when I asked for directions.
3. The room was clean, the carpet showed no signs of dirt, and after cleaning, they would spray a fragrance, so there were no unpleasant odors.
4. We arrived an hour early, and they allowed us to check in after waiting just 20 minutes.
**Cons:**
1. The toilet seat was broken. I was already very tired, and since we had checked in early, I didn't ask for a room change. However, it was really inconvenient because it moved around while I was using it.
2. The complimentary drinking water provided was just a small cup; other hotels usually offer bottled water.
3. The curtains were too narrow and couldn't close properly (you can see in the pictures). I even had to pull and stick them together myself, otherwise, I wouldn't have been able to sleep well (as I'm sensitive to light).
4. There's a house renovation project going on downstairs, and there was a lot of noise even at 10:30 PM. Closing the window helped a lot, but it was still loud. So, if you don't like noisy city areas, be aware ⚠️.
5. The breakfast was the simplest I've had in Turkey. As you can see in the pictures, the egg pancake was an extra charge, so I didn't order it. But it might have been really cheap, which explains it.
Overall, while the price was affordable, when you're traveling, you truly realize how important comfort is once you've stayed somewhere. So, next time, I will choose a place with a better environment.

Cons:
Hygiene: The hotel is advertised to open in 2026, but since it's still under renovation, there's dust in all the floor cracks. As soon as you enter, you're hit with the smell of new renovation formaldehyde, and it's even stronger in the room. With no screens on the windows, I could only air it out for a short hour. There was also a blood-like stain on the pillow that hadn't been cleaned (forgot to take a picture).
Facilities: The elevator was out of service, so I had to take the stairs. Luckily, my floor wasn't too high. The air conditioning in the room wasn't working, and there was no fresh air ventilation system. The tissue box was empty. The security latch on the door was broken (it was already past midnight so I didn't bother calling the front desk, and just used the sofa to block the door).
Pros:
The bed was large with a comfortable firmness, and the shower had excellent hot water.
Location: Excellent, very convenient for getting around.
Decor: Very distinctive style, and the room wasn't too small.

Very Good
GGuest UserThe hotel is conveniently located near the metro. Everything a tourist needs is nearby: shops, cafes, and currency exchange. The hotel staff are always ready to help. I stayed in a shared quadruple room, which was in the basement and had no windows. There are lockers for valuables. A minor inconvenience is the low top bunks, which makes it impossible to sit upright on the bottom bunks. Another downside for me is the lack of a microwave in the kitchen; food can only be heated on the stove. Overall, this isn't a critical issue. It's a perfectly acceptable option for a one-night stay.
JJohn Ryan ConleyVery nice little hotel and comfortable! Close to good food and the main street and transportation system. The staff is very friendly and thank you so much to my friend Adem at the front desk, who was very helpful with our stay! Awesome breakfast also in the morning included in your stay price!
JJACKCHOU0529This is a budget hotel, conveniently located within walking distance of the airport, saving you taxi fare! The hotel offered a free upgrade to a room with a large window. There's a Carrefour supermarket downstairs, which is great for shopping. Plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby too.
GGo with AidanThe hostel is clean, convenient at affordable price. I have recommended a few people to stay here. It was a very lovely hostel...
... only if the staff isn't rude.
I was in Istanbul for three days and excited to stay here for all three days. However, they arranged a very drunk man next to my bed. He was grunting aggressively and throwing things around. When I was taking shower, he went on to bang the shower room door violently.
I did not feel safe with the man around because he might destroy my possessions, if not endanger my wellbeing.
I went to the counter and told the staffs, hoping just to move me to another room to have peace of mind. However, one of the staffs Zakaria, invalidated my request and repeatedly telling me the drunk guy has ”no problem”, indicating I'm not allowed to move to another room and they also did not intend to solve the problem.
He then said to me ”this is a hostel” insinuating I should lower my expectations with the type of people I share room with in a hostel. As someone who survived family members with drinking issue, his lack of empathy is pissing me off.
After insisting on my request I will not go back to that room, luckily the other staff decided to switch me to another room.
Over the course of my stay, this Zakaria staff totally forgot his professionalism and giving me sour face the entire time even though I was being very cordial with him.
I also realize he also intentionally charge me double for using the kitchen. (The price displayed here was $1, he asked me for $2, not a lot but its frustrating).
If I take Zakaria out of my thought, this is really one of the loveliest stay in Turkey for me.
AAnonymous UserWe had a very pleasant stay in Istanbul. The location is excellent, very convenient to explore the city and close to many attractions.
The room was very clean, the bed was very large and extremely comfortable, which made it easy to rest after a long day of sightseeing. The bathroom was also very good and well maintained.
Breakfast was included and it was a great way to start the day, with a good variety of options.
We also want to highlight the staff. They were very kind, welcoming, and always willing to help us with anything we needed. Their assistance made our stay even better.
Overall, it’s a hotel that is definitely worth it. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Istanbul.
GGuest UserThe location is very convenient, next to Taksim Square, with convenient transportation, many subway and bus stations, and the airport bus station is also very close. You can walk to Independence Avenue. The breakfast is also good, and the service of the girl is very good!

GGuest UserTaksim Green House Istanbul is truly a gem in the heart of this vibrant city. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by its charm and hospitality. The location is unbeatable, just a stone's throw away from Taksim Square and all the bustling activity of Istanbul.
The staff at Taksim Green House are exceptional. They go above and beyond to ensure your stay is comfortable and memorable. Their warm welcome and willingness to assist with any request left a lasting impression on me.
The rooms are tastefully decorated, offering a perfect blend of modern amenities and traditional Turkish flair. I was fortunate enough to have a room with a view of the Bosphorus, and it was nothing short of breathtaking.
One of the highlights of my stay was the delicious breakfast served each morning. The spread was diverse, with a wide range of Turkish and international options. It was the perfect way to start my day of exploring Istanbul.
Taksim Green House also offers easy access to Istanbul's top attractions, including the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and the Grand Bazaar. After a day of sightseeing, returning to the comfort of this boutique hotel was a true pleasure.
In summary, Taksim Green House Istanbul exceeded my expectations in every way. It's a welcoming oasis in the heart of a bustling city, offering exceptional service, comfortable accommodations, and an unforgettable experience.
