Victoria Falls Rainbow Hotel

Better than expected, the room is not very new, but it is not as bad as expected, and the price is very reasonable. The room is not big, and two large chairs block the balcony door, making it necessary to turn sideways to enter and exit the balcony. Not a big problem. The bathroom is spacious, but the bathtub has to be climbed in and out, and it leaks easily. There is no hair dryer and the bath water is not big. I didn't have breakfast, but I guess the basics are there. There is a free shuttle bus in the town that can go to the entrance of Waterfall Park. You can also contact a taxi yourself or call one from the hotel. . They still want to charge me 6 dollars, even though the market price is 5 dollars. The hotel pick-up fee was NT$30, and later I found a driver myself for NT$25. And the hotel bill must be checked clearly. I obviously only booked airport pick-up, but the taxi bill charged me 60, which is quite shameful!

The owner’s daughter runs this beautiful, intimate Lodge. She personalizes your visit by personally recommending and arranging all activities in the Victoria Falls region. Further, she maintains a culture of personal care and nurturing of the guests with her young, smiling, welcoming staff. From reception to room staff, kitchen, maintenance and drivers; all are friendly and address each guest by the first name. I could not recommend this accommodation more. There are larger, more expensive and more sprawling lodges in the area, but it’s improbable that you could find better service anywhere. This is a five star review. Bravo.

Bedbugs. Along with several people who travelled with me, I am not enjoying the aftermath of rooms with bedbugs. We thought they were mosquito bites at first, but the grouping and large discoloured red areas on the skin are caused by bedbugs. The heat and extreme itch are more severe than symptoms connected to mosquito bites.

Cleanliness 7/10 -There was a shampoo and lotion used in the shower booth, the tub had black specs Food Quality 8/10- Food taste is fair and just some touch needed on presentation Staff friendliness & customer service 6/10- On check in the receptionist didn't exhibited a sense of urgency, she was attending to a personal call and afterwards started chanting to our shuttle driver talking personal issues before attending to us However the restaurant staff were so friendly and very cooperative. Fantastic value for money. A friendly welcome. Room was adequate but bathroom small. We were not there for luxury but wanted a base and somewhere friendly and clean. Livingstone lodge certainly was that. Great laundry facilities Breakfast was good cooked fresh to order. Highly recommend the on site massage and beauty salon. Luggage storage available

Superb Facility. I highly recommend it for either leisure or business. The team is friendly and willing to assist. The smiles from The Front Office, Housekeeping and Restaurant will keep you warm all day. In addition, the tour guides have a wealth of knowledge which keeps the Game Drive very interesting. Managed to see some Lions and Elephants. Will be back very soon. Thumbs up to James the Team Leader.

The hotel is generally in line with its price, but in the photo it looks better than it is in reality. The room is generally clean but the water works with interruptions. There was a bad water pressure in the evening. You can stop for one or two days but it will not fit for a long stay. With children too would not recommend. Breakfast is, but it is uniform. The location is not very successful, it is quite far from the city center (going on foot, but honestly not the best idea).
