Overall I enjoyed my stay at the hostel.
Its just too bad that nobody told me that I had to buy toilet paper. Also it's not allowed to take a shower after midnight.
The staff was friendly and helpful.
The common area quite cosy.
The upper bed of the bunk bed I had was not really convenient. I didn't have my own lamp (like the other beds) and I would wake up everytime someone would turn up the main light.
I would recommend to ask for the lower bunk.
The location is good. Walking distance to the main attractions in the city center.
I would still recommend this hostel :)

This hotel has very courteous staff and a good location near Wuwei museum and bus stops to get to the train station and other points in the city. The room was clean and with a very comfortable bed, we had a window facing the inside of the block so it was quiet at all hours. Much recommended for the price and would definitely stay again.

Everything was perfect. The lady who welcome us was so friendly, helpful and welcoming. We had a nice private room with our own bathroom and air conditioned. The room was clean, with a big bed and a small desk. The very friendly lady from the reception organize for us a trip to Danxia rainbow mountain for a very good price. We also did our laundry at the hotel. The price of the room is great and for sure if we come back to Zhangye, we will come back to this hotel. Thank you so much for the warm welcome and wish you all the best.
Lovely little hotel, that also boasts one of the most popular restaurant cafes in Xiahe. Rooms are simple, but clean and the staff will go out of their way to help you. Place is easy to find and close to the Labrang Monastery.
The landlady and proprietress are very enthusiastic and the service is good. However, the facilities are a bit too old and the floors are peeling. Overall, the price is very good. I stay here all the time on business trips.
We stayed 2 nights at the guesthouse. The family who owns it cares about you and your comfort all the time, a thing that we haven’t experienced at any other place in this country.
We stayed at the tent: it is spacious and much better than expected, super comfortable matress (even with a heating blanket in case you are cold, which can be in Xiahe) and pillows. Everything in the house is very clean, it’s only 5 minutes walking from Labrang monastery and 20 from the bus station.
We are glad we spent our time in Xiahe at this guesthouse, would come back for sure!!

At a glance at the hotel, friends cooked far away, once I heard the cancellation advice, but after half an hour I rebooked, after all, can't be in the rest area. My horn is Mediterranean style on the second floor. The style of the room, health service and service attitude did not disappoint me.
Everyone must live in their home. It is highly recommended. Real evaluation. I slept at night, it’s not good to take the whole picture, please move to the store, it’s really good, very good, very good, very good.

Very Good
GGuest UserThe boss was very enthusiastic. I contacted him one day in advance and waited for us at the station early the next morning. The accommodation was close to the East Gate. We said we were going to Crescent Lake and Mingsha Mountain. The boss took the initiative to drive us to the Middle Gate, saying that we could save 20 yuan on the shuttle bus fare. The next day, we signed up for a tour group to go out and play. The boss also sent us to the boarding point early in the morning. The boss was afraid that it would be inconvenient to go back after the Crescent Lake Music Festival, so he also came to pick us up, making our travel very convenient. The accommodation environment is also very good, and the steamed bun for breakfast is particularly large.

GGuest UserI went to this Starry Sky B&B during the summer vacation. Isn’t it magical? There is a small Crescent Lake next to the accommodation area. It is so beautiful. The room facilities are also complete. I slept very comfortably. The experience is really good. It is a separate area. , it is very quiet at night, no motorcycles will pass by. The most important thing is that the starry sky over there is really beautiful, the field of vision is wide, visible to the naked eye, there is no light pollution, and the effect is excellent. You can also set off fireworks there if conditions permit. , very beautiful
GGuest UserThe hotel is in a great location, with many places to eat around. The room is large! Clean and tidy. The front desk lady is very enthusiastic and the service is in place. Parking is convenient, you can park on the ground or underground!
PPeterThis is a very nice hotel right on a pedestrian street lined with food stalls and restaurants. At night mobile food carts get rolled in and positioned along the center of the street adding yet more food choices! In addition to this, just a short walk away is a huge pedestrian shopping street along with an underground shopping complex accessed through street level escallators.
Although the hotel is on a pedestrian street it is really just about 3/4 block from a street with vehicle access. This hotel is a bit difficult to find though, because individual street address numbers are difficult to find. The best thing is to look for a huge Hanting Hotel logo on the right side of the pedestrian street as you head up from the traffic street along the river. The sign is blue with a white horse! The entrance to the hotel itself looks more as if you are entering a coffee shop because of the street entrance signage. But power past all the tables for people having coffee, and you can find the hotel front desk at the back.
As mentioned before, the hotel is quite close to the Yellow River and just a short walk to the ”Iron Bridge” (AKA Zhongshan Bridge) and all that neighborhood offers!
One drawback to the hotel is that to get into the entrance there are some narrow steps. Level entrances are always best!
Yet, I would definitely stay in this hotel again! (And when you are in Lanzhou, be sure to try Lanzhou Beef Noodles!)
GGuest UserI saw the vineyard when I selected a homestay online, so I quickly contacted the owner, who was very enthusiastic and met me at the station. You know how happy it is to have someone meet you at the station when you go out with the elderly and children🥰
The sanitation is super clean, and the family is very capable. You can eat at the inn, and the owner's mother cooks for you herself. The vegetables are grown by herself, and you can pick grapes when you leave the room. Every time I come to the Qinghai-Gansu line, my mouth gets blisters, and I count on coming here to supplement my vitamins! All the meals we had at the B&B were very delicious. The children ate until they were full every day, and the eggs were very, very big.
The boss helped me contact Dunhuang for the A ticket. Although the peak season had passed, it still needed to be booked a long time in advance. I contacted the boss only one day in advance. He actively helped me with various plans. He was very enthusiastic and patient. It was a lucky trip. I watched two performances in a row, ”See Dunhuang Again” and ”Music of Dunhuang”, both of which were very exciting. You can contact the owner to buy tickets and get discounts. I have recommended it to friends who are going there soon. If I have the opportunity to come to Dunhuang next time, I will definitely stay here again.

GGuest UserI have a good impression of Dunhuang, starting from the store answering my phone. I am very enthusiastic to help us book tickets for ”See Dunhuang again”, help us book a taxi at the pick-up station 🚖, and organize to watch 👀 Moon together at night. The store is a photo enthusiast with a big golden retriever 🐕. Borrow our cowboy hat and rose to take pictures in Mingsha Mountain. The point is: the homestay is a few hundred meters away from the middle gate of Mingsha Mountain, super close, satisfying us to watch the sunrise and sunset of Mingsha Mountain.

GGuest UserDuring our time at the Sabake Desert Camping Base, your warm and thoughtful service gave us the ultimate experience. The swimming pool in the desert seemed like an oasis in the desert. At night, everyone could look up and see a beautiful starry sky. We sat under the starry sky, drinking wine and eating hot pot and barbecue to feel the atmosphere brought to us by the camp. Of course, sand rushing is indispensable in the desert. Special thanks to the two drivers for using their superb driving skills to let us experience unprecedented excitement. We also saw another spring, which is not seen in other itineraries. I sighed at the magic of nature. Good times are always short! Looking forward to seeing you next time!
GGuest UserThis is a great place to stay while you are in Dunhuang! The location is perfect right in the middle of the night market area and close to transport. The owners are also lovely and super helpful plus they have gorgeous pets to hang with. One thing to note is that they do also live here so the flip side of the beautiful decor and homey environment is that there are restrictions around the hours the common areas are open and they keep a pretty close eye on guests leaving lights on and doors open etc which did make me feel like I needed to tip toe around a little.
