Upon entering the hotel, the staff warmly welcomed us and helped us check in. The overall impression was great, and the room was very clean. Although there was a bit of a language barrier, the front desk staff used pictures to communicate with us, which was a very thoughtful touch. It was a wonderful experience, and the hotel is also very close to the subway station, making it super convenient for getting around.
This hotel was a great stay! It felt like it was in a residential area, not crowded at all, and very pleasant. The transportation was incredibly convenient too; the hotel is directly connected to Sakai Station on the Nankai Line, so you're right at the hotel entrance as soon as you exit the station. It's a direct 10-minute ride to Namba and about 30 minutes straight to the airport. Downstairs, there are all sorts of shops and even a shopping mall. Behind the hotel is Sakai Port, which is perfect for a stroll. The hotel's buffet was also quite good. I'll definitely be staying here again next time.

I've stayed at the New Otani in Hakata before, and this time I chose the one in Osaka. Both are equally luxurious and grand, but I found the room's cleanliness in Osaka to be a bit lacking compared to Hakata – there were some stains behind the closet door. The location is super convenient, close to both JR and Keihan train stations. The room was spacious enough, with two bathrooms, which was incredibly handy for a family trip. When we checked out, we made a last-minute decision to take the shuttle bus to the airport. We only had five minutes before it departed, but the front desk immediately called the shuttle service, printed our tickets, and had a bellboy whisk our luggage over. We made it onto the bus smoothly, and I'm very grateful for their quick assistance. The surrounding area is also very convenient; we took a leisurely stroll to Osaka Castle. We even stumbled upon an XG concert tour, with the venue, Osaka-Jo Hall, right across from the hotel! We snagged tickets for 400 yen and enjoyed a high-quality concert. So happy! 🥳

Our stay at this hotel was unfortunately overshadowed by a serious safety concern.
At around midnight, the fire alarm went off and woke everyone. The announcements initially included English instructions, with the last clear message telling guests to evacuate immediately. As we were staying on the 27th floor, we had no choice but to assume this was a real emergency and made our way down.
However, once outside, there was no staff present to guide guests or confirm what was happening. After waiting with other confused guests, we went to reception on the 17th floor, only to find the staff seemingly unaware that people had evacuated the building. They appeared surprised when we told them guests were outside.
Eventually, we were informed there was no fire, and staff apologized — but there was no clear communication during the incident and no follow-up support or compensation offered.
This situation did not feel safe. In an emergency, especially in a high-rise building, clear communication and staff coordination are critical. The lack of guidance and awareness from the hotel staff was concerning and could have led to panic or injury.
I hope the hotel takes this seriously and improves their emergency procedures to ensure guest safety in the future.

Last June, I stayed in a corner room, and this time, the Premier Deluxe room. It's just as good, if not better, than the corner room, and the value for money is outstanding. The hotel is very new, and the room size is also perfectly fine. The Swissôtel Nankai next door might be more convenient, but it's older. This hotel, overall, is definitely the number one choice in Namba for dining, shopping, and incredibly convenient access to the airport.
Hotel REF by HMI in Izumisano is my go-to choice whenever I have an early morning flight. The prices are reasonable, and the rooms are clean and tidy. The highlight for me is definitely the hotel's large public bath and outdoor rotenburo (open-air hot spring) on the top floor – a soak there in the evening is incredibly relaxing and helps melt away fatigue. Plus, the hotel is less than 100 meters from Izumisano Station; you can see it right after exiting the subway. It's also just two stops away from Kansai Airport, making its location absolutely excellent!

Environment: This is a classic, century-old hotel with a lot of character. My room had a view of Sakuranomiya Park, which I imagine would be stunning during cherry blossom season.
Service: The service was very attentive. Staff were proactive in offering help and greeted guests warmly. There's also a shuttle bus service to and from Osaka Station.
Facilities: The room decor is old-fashioned, and the wooden furniture has a vintage feel.
Surroundings: Fujita Museum is nearby and worth a visit – it's small but beautiful.

It was a very enjoyable stay.
It is conveniently located near multiple train stations, all of which are walking distance from the hotel.
The room is spacious and very clean. We stayed on the 13th floor and had a great view .The whole hotel smells incredible. The hotel also provides you a range of masculine, feminine and gender neutral scents located on level 2 in the laundry room. You also have access to an iron in that room.
The staff are very attentive as well.
I will definitely be returning to this hotel for our future Osaka stays

Our club triple room was incredibly clean, offering a panoramic view of the city. Below, the intricate Japanese railway system stretched out. The breakfast was very satisfying, though the à la carte ordering made my child feel a bit restricted. The hotel is located in Umeda, but after exiting the JR station, it takes some searching to find as it's not in the central Umeda area. It's not particularly convenient, but we were very happy with the room. The toiletries were from Guerlain, and dining downstairs was also quite convenient. However, after 9 PM, only the 'Lanting' Chinese restaurant was open, truly showcasing the diligence and resilience of the Chinese people.
After some positive experience from their Tokyo branches, I decided to try Grand Prince Osaka Bay during my stay in Osaka. There is a shuttle bus from Kansai International Airport directly to the hotel, there are buses from the hotel to Osaka station and it's within walking distance to ATC, Cosmosquare and Nakafuto (the closest) metro stations. The hotel is perfect if you plan to catch a ferry or if you want to be away from the busy areas of Osaka. The environment is spacious, with a few restaurants, cafes, and a shop to plan weddings. The hotel overall is clean and the staff are attentive. Highly recommend!

GGuest UserWonderful experience at OMO.
It is very close to subway station, with convenient store right at the 2/F of hotel. Room is new and clean. Hot bath and sauna available for relaxation (Not hot spring). There is free snacks and drink at top floor of hotel where you can enjoy night view and the unique ”above the clouds” experience. My kids are very happy with the cotton candy.
The self service luggage storage is convenient and easy to use. Very thoughtful to have scale for weighing luggage.
TTutujiangEThe service was incredibly thoughtful, and the room was spacious with a beautiful design. The night view was stunning, and the surrounding area offered convenient transportation and plenty of shopping. I'll definitely choose Waldorf Astoria again on my next trip to Osaka! 😃
Oolive1219The location is absolutely unbeatable. Downstairs, you'll find Hermès and Daimaru, and VCA is super close too. It's incredibly convenient for shopping! If it weren't for the huge price hike during the May Day holiday, I would definitely have stayed here again after coming back from Kyoto.
However, the soundproofing is a bit lacking. It can get a bit noisy at night if there are motorcycles cruising by, but it's not constant, so it didn't really affect my sleep much.
The bathroom felt a bit old-fashioned, but the toiletries and skincare products provided were quite good.

GGigi GweeIt is our first time staying near that area, and we wanted to find a hotel near to Tennoji zoo. it is a very kids friendly hotel, breakfast varieties not not, basically japanese food, but it's tasty and decent, but due to eco friendly policy, they will not come and clean your room everyday except throwing trash and replacing new towel. on the overall, stay was comfortable.
MMiqixiaofantuanComing from Tokyo, I thought I had the Shinkansen system down, but Osaka Station definitely taught me a lesson! I got lost as soon as I exited the subway, and we only found the hotel because my husband could read the map. I'd highly recommend taking a taxi if it's your first time in Umeda and heading to this hotel!
However, once we got our bearings, we realized the hotel's location is absolutely fantastic! Osaka Station is just 200 meters across the street! Hankyu Station and Umeda Station are also nearby. Within 500 meters, you'll find the Umeda shopping district: Hankyu Department Store, LUCUA, LUCUA 1100, Daimaru Department Store, Yodobashi Camera, and Hankyu Sanbangai are all in the vicinity – a shopper's paradise! The best part is the time-saving aspect; if you buy too much to carry, you can just drop it off at the hotel and head out again – plenty of time, haha.
Most importantly, it's also quite close to Universal Studios Japan. A 17-minute subway ride from Osaka Station makes it incredibly convenient.
**Service:** While I didn't find any staff who spoke Chinese, they were very friendly towards Chinese guests. My basic English was sufficient. You'll need to pay the deposit with cash or a Visa card.
**Accommodation:** Since the price is a bit higher than the Shinsaibashi area, the rooms are also larger. This is the biggest hotel room I've stayed in Japan, and the accommodation was excellent and very clean. The only downside was that the hairdryer had very weak airflow and was loud, making it a struggle to dry my hair.
XXiaoyuhuiThe location is extremely convenient. If you're looking for an old-school hotel vibe, you might find it here, but the facilities are really outdated – I couldn't stand them. The showerhead was in the bathtub and there was no separate shower, which was a real deal-breaker for me. I'll definitely stick to newer hotels from now on. The Japanese restaurant on the fifth floor was pretty good; I had sushi for a reasonable price, with 16k and 26k options available.
DDengjiacaiyunThe location is fantastic, right in the Umeda shopping district, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient. Osaka Station is just across the street, so getting anywhere is a breeze. The room comes with a free mini-bar, and the toiletries are super comprehensive, including facial cleanser, skincare products, and even face masks – and they provide enough for three people! The bed is huge and really comfortable, and the room itself is clean and tidy. The breakfast buffet completely exceeded my expectations; it's hands down the best breakfast I've had at any Japanese hotel I've stayed at in Osaka so far.
ZZHGKI originally booked a W Suite and arrived at 12 PM hoping to secure a high-floor room, but was only given the 8th floor. So, I paid more to upgrade to a Marvelous Suite. Honestly, the hardware facilities are excellent, but! If you want to experience differential treatment, this W is the place to be. First, someone else's laundry was mistakenly delivered to our suite. When I told the front desk, they were dismissive, merely saying someone would come to collect it, without even an apology. Later, while we were out, they left two boxes of Pocky biscuits... truly perfunctory. Then, we went to the Living Room on the third floor for drinks, and the server was practically bowing to Caucasian guests, while being very dismissive towards us. Around 10 PM, I called their 24/7 Whatever/Whenever service for an extra duvet, and they told me they had none left. The next day, I ordered room service through the Bonvoy app, and since I couldn't find the order on the web version, I called again to confirm. They said they'd call me back after checking with room service, but the meal arrived and I never got a call back. It felt like they didn't care about their guests at all. Also, the suite's minibar is entirely chargeable, and there are no additional services. It really felt like I paid a hefty price just to rent the room itself. I can't really praise the service from a five-star Marriott-branded hotel. This review is a heads-up for anyone considering booking this hotel. Though I doubt W Osaka will care about my review; they're always fully booked and don't lack customers. Oh, and the front desk concierge who spoke Chinese were all from Taiwan.

Amazing
YyucongseuExcellent stay! The room was very spacious, and the facilities and service were consistently up to InterContinental standards. The view from the window was great, offering a glimpse of the red Ferris wheel. The location is superb, right next to Osaka Station and Umeda Station, making transportation incredibly convenient. There are tons of shops and restaurants nearby, so dining, drinking, and shopping are all very easy. Plus, breakfast is free for children under six, which is a great value.
