The rooms are pretty old and the fittings in the bathroom were all rusted and no holders on the wall for shower handles. We picked a suite but even that had damaged faucets in the wash basin area. Guess it’s time to renovate as it wasn’t a very economic one as i had paid 3800 for a night bichulal i guess it’s too low for a night. However it is good for a 1800 to 2000 max range

We had two nights stay at picturesque ILLKKALAM LAKESIDE COTTAGE right on the banks of the lake and were. pleasantly surprised as the nature unfolded before us. Good location with good facilities and access to all amenities surrounded by organic farm , nature at its best. Good service through out and personalised care by friendly staff. Freshly cooked homemade tasty food served to your room and relax in front of the room looking over the lake with boats passing by and beautiful sunset views. The best part was the relaxed private sunset boat ride on the lake for two of us with stunning views starting right in front of our cottage. Susan Salin and team have done a wonderful job in making avail of this wonderful property for fortunate few like us. Special thanks to Asha and Arjun who were always helpful and giving us information of local tours and cultures. Not to forget those amazing cooks who cooked meals as per our taste We will definitely going to return and recommend to our friends to visit ILLKKALAM LAKESIDE COTTAGES Thanks once again for serving is the best treat Keep it up 💕🙏😍

Very good accommodation, nice to talk all management persons, keep cleaning, daily cleaning before call and confirm that to us. We got hot water always is amazing experience. Call to reception immediately response and give the clearly answer. Next time if go to thiruvananthapuram we plan to stay here only. I recommend to all. Thanks

Location is near both railway stations. There are many restaurants around. Room is big and bed is comfortable. Staffs are very helpful. We had a good stay

I liked everything very much) the breakfast, of course, is a bit meager for a European, but overall there was something to eat) the rooms are great, and the private beach is just awesome. The staff is 1000/10, at night they helped me call a taxi to the airport! In general - for its price you won't find better, I recommend it to everyone)

Very dirty sheet with stains and problems with the hot and cold water supply. Everything else was good but below my expectations. The best is LE CHICAGO BEER & WINE PARLOUR but it was closed.

The cleanliness of room was outstanding. The forest view of our room was mesmerising. The restaurant has a very poor/less menu list and very long waiting time to serve. Lift suddenly malfunctioned and stuck suddenly but was rectified in 2 days. Parking is very good for a hill station hotel. Swimming pool was clean. Overall if the lift and restaurant was good, i would give a 10/10 score.

Convenient! It’s just 2km from the airport, appropriate for those catching flights with a short transit.

We had better experience in staying at hotel burj. They provide beautiful room which is very cleaned and furnished. Moreover staff were good and they were made us comfortable there. We will recommend this to future trips and others.

The stay was very peaceful, and the environment was very calm and cool. The staffs were very helpful, the attached restaurant was very good for lunch and dinner requirement. Very close to the beach, walking distance only 300mts.

My stay at alfa inn was pretty good. The customer service is really good and the staff are really cooperative. The room was quite ok. But hygiene should be improved. Situated in a calm and quiet place. Hence the ambience was really good.

Property's location was very nice. The building was portuguese and it was beautiful, with great interiors.

Had a nice experience from the crescent suits cochin, room was neat and clean, family friendly hotels, i travel-led lots of places so the service that i got from here i can say clearly exceptional, staffs are friendly and supportive for my needs, highly recommendable for couples and families

The stay at ginger was excellent and supporting staff were polite, interacted and helpful in guiding me through timely responsive action for attending the workshop nearby, though i reached late night there were no delay in allotment of room, which are near, hygienic and well maintained. The breakfast, dinner served is good, authentic, traditional and affordable. Especially, the manager abhilash sir is knowledgeable, positive response, patience enough and good guiding manager to the guests. So, i sincerely recommend ginger trivandrum for families and everyone for their stay.

Go to Nebo for the view. The rooms have a fantastic view of the sea from the cliff and it makes the stay worthwhile. However, the view is pretty much the only thing going for the hotel. The bathroom is dingy and I get particularly irritated at hotels who skimp on basics like providing a soap dish for the sink. The shower is slow so tough to get the sand off yourself each time you come back from the beach. The room is fine and spacious and the AC works. No fan in the room so you can’t really sit with the window open too long. I wish they took care of some simple things to make the average stay great.

Very good, professional service and worry free stay. 1. caretaker was very very friendly. He had called in advance to ask when we would check in, shared the number we can use in case of any need and also told us he will be out on the road if we need help to locate the property. we eventually did have to call him because the house is located beside a slope and it's from a level down to the road from the direction we came( the other side of the house it's located above the road). but as soon as we called he was out on the road and helped us. 2. One point to note is that we have to park the car on the road. The house required climbing stairs up/down, so we cannot take the car past the gate. 3. the bathrooms are very clean ( bathrooms are the biggest fear for me). Their shower was very very good and unlike most places in tvm located near the beach, the tap water was not hard water. it was soft. they have hot and cold water. Towels were also provided, so also soap and travel friendly size of shampoo and moisturizer. 4. you can hear the waves loud and clear. you can also see the waves from your porch etc. you can also see the Vizinjam mosque dome and minarets from he property. also the lighthouse is very close by and can be seen from the property. 5. The beach is super near. Everything is at walking distance. Breakfast offered was bread, butter/jam. so we opted out. Drinking water was provided. There are cupboards inside for storage.Chairs and a table too. There is a door between the bottom two rooms that can be locked or unlocked. Hence it's great for families security wise. Overall, it's reliable and worry free.

Location was excellent, beachside. The staff were very helpful and did their best to make our stay comfortable. Clean, tidy and organised. Facilities were very good and of a high standard.

I recently booked a hotel through makemytrip and had a rather frustrating experience. Upon arriving at the hotel 30 minutes before the check-in time, i was denied entry and asked to wait. I understand policies are in place, but the way it was handled by the male receptionist was unprofessional and unfriendly. His behavior made the situation even worse, as he seemed indifferent to our concerns overall, i expected better service and accommodation quality for the cost.
