Nice place, Nice location; you can walk to the Ancient town, I took along time to catch nice scene along the city wall, park and canal. To get the hotel from Datong South Railway Station by bus no.31 from the bus station side(the area is connected), take around 30 minutes to get there (Yungang Jianguo hotel, the hotel is opposite, only 2 CNY, many food and minimart around there. There is Muslim food there if need(next to the entrance of C(behind the building). Nice service, self check-in, clean room and relaxing. the owner, you should to contact the owner before arrive, she so friendly and always help you, she suggested us about the famous local food and restaurants(Thank you so much). If you need to buy some necessary item and cannot buy at the around minimart, you can walk to the Yonghui Superstore by East side (the next junction) turn right to Yuhe West rd. (At the corner). From the hotel tobget Yungang Grottoes, you can take bus no. 31 (Yungang Jianguo side), get off at Shi Li Dian Cun Xi ( West Shilidian village), cross to another side and catch bus no.12 to the terminal stop(is Yungang Grottoes. Take 1 hour or 1.30 to get there.

The hostel , bathroom and rooms are very clean. The owner is very kind and helpful but wish he gave more info about tourist attractions. Over all, the area is great, near a few main bus stops, lots of places to eat with ing a few minutes to 15 minutes walk. For the price it was well worth it. There’s one couch on the third floor but not much social area and the floor where my room was, was very dark.

Famous SiewMai LJX also 7mins walk away. 代王府Just 10mins away. Bus stop just right in front of the hotel. Very convenient. Room is small, especially I carrying a M size check-in luggage. Found a space to place and open my luggage. But lucky I was alone without companion or another luggage. But just nice for me, small room but cozy. Customer service is very good. They are helpful provided me some tips to tour around the city. Even recommend me rent public bicycle. I was having so much fun in Datong thanks to this hotel friendly customer services.

A gorgeous accomodation which looks like a museum itself. The hosts are very friendly and extremely helpful. They respond to inquiries within minutes and guided us well through Pingyao. As cars aren't allowed to pass the gate to the ancient town, it was very convenient that they offered us a transport from the North gate to the accomodation for no extra charge! Our room was spacious, the beds were comfortable and there is an extremely nice outside area where one can try out the different vinegars and spirits produced by the hosts.

The Inn provides a wonderful experience for the first-time foreign visitor. The interior decor has that Chinese charm consisting of artwork, a book display, an aquarium with an auspicious collection of 8 large fishes (carp, I think), in-room tea set with an on-table electric stove, which would be unique to most Westerners. The glass flooring adds an extraordinary appeal since I have never experienced that in a hotel before, and I have traveled to dozens of countries. The Inn is well located, a short bus ride to Datong Railway Station (for non-high-speed rail travel)*, and a short taxi ride to Datong South Railway Station (for high-speed rail travel)**. It is just next to Datong City Wall. You can walk along the top of the City Wall at no cost. A 10-20 minute walk takes you to nearly all the attractions within the ancient City Wall. Here you will also find a variety of restaurants serving local food as well as souvenir shops. There is also a small shop that sells sundry items including drinks (beer included) within a 5-minute walk from the Inn. Across from this sundry shop, is a shop that specializes in ancient Chinese clothing (Hanfu dress). They can dress you up, cosmetics included. The Inn provides directions to Yujian Yun Gang - a popular destination for travelers to Datong. Here you will see ancient Buddhist cave art, including large and tall (several stories tall) sculptures. It takes two bus rides to get there, 1RMB per ride. My booking choice was for either a guest room on the 1st or 2nd floor but was assigned a wonderful 2nd-floor guest room. The owners of the Inn were exceptionally friendly. I met both the mother and her daughter. My room was professionally cleaned and provided with drinking bottled water daily. If I return to Datong in the future, I will certainly book a room at this Inn. *I took a train from this station to travel south to Xinzhou after checking out. **I arrived in Datong from Beijing Daxing International Airport

Receptionist were helpful and patient even they do not speak English at all. They allowed us to late check-out in which we are grateful for. I love this B&B so much, I stayed there for almost two weeks. On the north street of the ancient city, food, clothing, housing and transportation are all convenient.
