If you cross the Kaiun Bridge over the Kitakami River from Morioka Station, you'll find a large downtown area leading to Morioka Castle Ruins Park. The hotel was located on the north side of this downtown area.
The lounge on the first floor offers a welcome drink service to warm you up. Rice balls and soup are also served on weekday evenings.
This is what a standard single room looks like. It was comfortable during the cold season, with sliding doors to keep out the cold air from the windows and a shower toilet with a hot water heater.
As the reviews said, breakfast featured many dishes made with local ingredients. There was such a wide variety that I couldn't try everything. I was particularly satisfied with the local cuisine.
This was my first visit to Morioka, and I would definitely stay at this hotel again next time.
Stayed for one night before heading to Geto Kogen ski resort. Right opposite the train station with restaurants and Lawson within walking distance. The breakfast was quite nice too and the price was very reasonable. Had an enjoyable stay overall.
This hotel boasts an elegant environment, attentive service, clean and comfortable rooms, and complete facilities, making it a relaxing and enjoyable stay. It's definitely worth staying again and would be highly recommended!
Unfortunately, the hotel provided the wrong room type. Fortunately, trip.com offered a solution, which was helpful.
Decent clean rooms... small with basic amenities. Room interior fittings looks new, but the bathtub was a tad old. Location is fairly near Kitakami JR station, say 10 or 15mins walk. There's a nice river view facing the back, and good for morning stroll. All else, it was a short transit stopover stay for my group. Hadn't use any of their facilities
Hotel Jin Morioka is just next to the train station.
Very convenient location as a center point to travel in the region.
Rooms are clean and nice with Mountain View.
Breakfast for only 1000 Yen is a very good offer.
Definitely recommend this hotel 👍
It's not in walking distance from Kitakami Station (it takes 25 minutes to walk there), but American World is next door and they provide shuttle service to the station and the bar district. The best thing about the facilities is the outdoor bath, although I've never used the bath in the room. A morning bath is great when you're on a business trip. The breakfast afterwards is also delicious, so I recommend the breakfast option.
Simple hotel, good enough for a night's rest. It's close to the station so it's very convenient. TV looks new, with apps available like netflix or Disney plus, but you have to use your own account. Or you can watch YouTube too.
Amenities wise, minimal. The good thing is it cuts down wastage, but it also means you'll have to go to the lobby to get what you need (DIY). Not the most convenient, but eco friendly enough.
The food is more delicious and fresh than any of the first-class hotels in Tokyo, and they even have grilled abalone, so it's great value for money. They use local products in an ingenious way, and the seasoning is excellent, so I'm 100% satisfied. Chefs from the city should come here to train⭐︎
Advantages: It's very close to the station, which is especially friendly for people like me who like to bring large suitcases. Secondly, the service attitude at the front desk was very good, and they were not deliberately indifferent because I was a foreigner. The room is very big, the big box can be unfolded, and the air conditioning is very powerful.
Disadvantages: Sound insulation is average, you can even hear snoring from next door or upstairs or downstairs in the dead of night.
Very Good

__M1391785****The room is average and the price/performance ratio is very high. The next day we woke up late and missed breakfast, but the waitress immediately prepared a set meal for us, including curry rice, vegetable soup, Japanese vegetables, and juice. It was very rich and we were very full. Thank you very much! Toyoko Inn is usually located very close to JR station. Although the rooms are small, they are very cost-effective! recommend!
YYoshimasaIn the natural environment surrounded by mountains and forests, the clear stream behind the inn flows gurgling, healing the body and mind.
It is fun to enjoy each of the four hot springs that flow directly from the source, but we especially recommend the deepest hot spring in Japan.
This is a self-propelled natural rock bath ”Shirasaru no Yu”. This is a very rare hot spring. Due to its depth, you can stand up to enter, but it is evenly distributed throughout your body.
It is said that applying hot water pressure can effectively promote blood circulation. The hall also has a nostalgic atmosphere, as if traveling to the past.
The hospitality of the staff is also very attentive. If you have the opportunity to stay in Hanamaki, it is a hotel worth staying in.
GGuest UserThe hotel nestled in the middle of Iwate and Akita Japan with an amazing sceneries of mountain. The accomodati on is super comfortable with an amazing view of trees and mountains covered in snow. The other highlight of this place is the culinary experience this place got to offer the course dinner and breakfast that uses locally sourced ingredients from both Akita and Iwate prefecture and the presentation of the cuisine that brings out the quality and the stories of the place. Overall an extraordinary experience and worth a trip of its own.

HHAOHAO1002The hotel is about 7 minutes' walk from the subway. There is a convenience store downstairs, which is very convenient. The hotel provides free breakfast and dinner, which is very good. The room is of average size. The sofa bed can be put down to spread out two suitcases.

AAK520Excellent onsen hotel located in 雫石盯. Easy to find but need a car better. The scenary is quiet and beautiful. Onsen itself is so good. The japanese style room is big and clean with a toilet. Tatami bed is very comfortable. Only downside is the room next to our room is a large room living 8 ppl, so easily listen ppl talking and walking in and out with door closing noise. But host is so helpful that he went to talk to them about the noise. Service is very good. Recommended.
GGuest UserGreat location for hikers on the Michinoku Coastal Trail. We booked the stay with dinner and breakfast, and the dinner was an outstanding multi-course kaiseki style meal. The onsen is a great relief after a hard day of hiking too.
