Foss hotel Reykjavik is a great place, conveniently located next to Bus stop 12 where all the tour operators pick up and drop off as well as Fly bus tdrop off and pick up. The hotel is very clean and safe. I have a fantastic experience with the staff in front desk and house keeping. I was a solo traveller and I asked guidance to the front desk on some places that i wanted to go within and near Reykjavik. Tge front desk staff, he gave me suggestions and helped me book the show ticket. He gave me clear instructions and seeing my lost look , even gave me the hootel phone numbers to call him in case I run into trouble. But thanks to his clear guidance I managed to navigate well and had a great day out. This hotel is about 15 to 20mrs from city centre by walk. One day I forgot my gold chain in the room. But the housekeeping folks while cleaning did not even touch any valuable stuff that i left. It is really a very reliable and safe hotel. They have a restaurant that serves delicioys food. I ate their fish and chips and chicken salad. Both were great. The breakfast has a good spread. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The best part is still the excellent service from the staff. My trip got rebooked and i had multiple correspondence with the staff and they were always prompt and reassuring. The only downside of the whole stay was my room. I got a corner room which had a slanted corner shape, meaning a triangle cut off from a rectangle. Though nicely laid out, i felt claustrophobic as the room size was much smaller. That room is not ideal, especially if not solo.
This hotel offers great value for money, especially considering how expensive things are in Iceland. We stayed for a week and it only cost us about 2500 per person. The hotel staff are incredibly efficient; they typically bring whatever you need within five minutes. For example, when we mentioned our room was cold, they immediately brought a heater. We also requested bowls and an extra blanket, and those were delivered within five minutes as well.
Apartment-type rooms have kitchen equipment The room type is large compared to other hotels. There are restaurants and supermarkets around. It is very convenient to take the airport bus and the Blue Lake bus. The city is concentrated in such a place. Trip.com booked a standard suite can live three people. When booking, two and three people have the same room rate, so it is convenient to fill two people. As a result, I went to the hotel and was charged 60 euros. I thought that if I fill one person, I would have to pay 120 euros more? Everyone can pay attention to this, communicate in advance to avoid unnecessary losses. More suitable for travelers who need to cook, if the oyster is not recommended for a short stay, staying at an ordinary hotel is more cost-effective.
I'm really happy with the room! For this price during winter travel, it's excellent value for money. The room was super warm, and it even has a private kitchen with a washing machine, oven, fridge, and all the necessary utensils. The surrounding area is very convenient.

While not in the absolute city center, the hotel's facilities, breakfast, and service are all excellent. Getting around is easy: there are several bus routes directly across the street that go downtown. For airport transfers, the Flybus service connects to a shuttle that drops you off right at the hotel. Good day tours and island excursions also provide convenient pick-up and drop-off from the lobby. A majority of the guests are American, and the restaurant primarily offers Western dishes.
**100/100 - Excellent!**
This place feels as warm and inviting as home. The location is easy to find, and the room is exceptionally clean and comfortable. The hot tub is a must-try! Breakfast features traditional Icelandic dishes with a great variety that truly fuels your journey. I highly recommend this stay!
Highly recommended, great location, great Service. Although the room was a bit small, but given the room Rate was quite affordable in Reykjavik, This hotel is certainly great Value for money.
The location is excellent, within walking distance to the city's popular attractions, restaurants, cafes, etc. The room is relatively small, but comfortable. The bathroom is relatively small, especially the wash basin. The so-called buffet breakfast is not bad, but there is not much choice of food. The hotel service and staff are very friendly and helpful.
We had no issues here. Our room was comfortable. It even had a deep tub to soak in. They had a nice dessert plate and card on our arrival for our anniversary.
The front desk was polite and the building was nice. It was located within walking distance of some places we wanted to visit like the whale boat tours and some museums and a couple of restaurants.
There was some construction next door but we were active during the day when they worked so it didn’t bother us. Parking was a minor inconvenience as there was no real free parking available. We just downloaded a parking app and paid on our phone as needed.
We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to other travelers.

GGuest UserExcellent location. Airport transfer bus, Northern Lights and other activities buses, drop off and pick up in front of the hotel, no need to wait at bus stop.
Supermarket near by, just a few minutes walk.
Nice view from hotel window, refer to picture.

GGuest UserAdvantages:
The hotel is located on a street surrounded by shops and restaurants, making it very convenient for transportation and daily needs. It is also quite close to attractions such as Rainbow Street and the Hallgrímskirkja. The room is spacious and can easily accommodate three large suitcases.
Disadvantages:
The room lighting is relatively dim, and the soundproofing is poor. We were assigned a room on the 3rd floor. Since there was no air conditioning, we had to open the windows for ventilation. However, due to the poor soundproofing, conversations from people on the street could be clearly heard. Additionally, when someone in nearby rooms opened and closed their doors while going out or returning to their rooms, the walls would vibrate noticeably.
MMini1222The location is super convenient for city walks to Rainbow Street, the church, and supermarkets. The room was clean and tidy, perfect for cooking as it had basic supplies like oil and black pepper, plus a dishwasher. The front desk service was also very enthusiastic! Just remember that in Iceland, you need to bring your own toiletries and slippers, and there's no razor. Luckily, the supermarket is very close.

CChuckHotel Holt was a fantastic find for us! It is a throwback to days glamore! It is a beautiful facility well maintained and very clean. We loved looking at all the art prices hung through out the Hotel and rooms. It really does give that 50-60s vibe! We even had a real key for our room. Really loved staying there.
