This hotel is so gorgeous! The room is spacious and comfortable. The bed is big and fluffy. The location and the hotel grounds is just simply stunning! When you arrive, you'd be at awe! The staff are all so helpful and friendly. We stayed here for two nights as a family of 8! The kids enjoyed the breakfast and the access to the beautiful Chinese garden located within the hotel itself. It was also close to all the lovely attractions. Loved my stay here so much!

I booked Building 3, which I knew was older, but the price reflected that. What I was really after was the beautiful garden landscape of the state guesthouse! As expected, the facilities in Building 3 were quite dated. On the first night, when I drew the curtains, I found the sheer curtain was broken. I reported it, and they made up for it with breakfast. The service was still good, and I was too lazy to switch rooms. Then, when I tried to shower, both the showerhead and the handheld sprayer were leaking from the top and bottom, and the faucet was broken. I reported it, and they promptly moved me to a different room. The butler service was very responsive! However, in the new room, the bathroom walls were dirty, and the drain was backed up with standing water! Finally, I reported the situation again, and around 11 PM, the front desk manager upgraded us to a room in Building 18. Building 18's rooms are indeed much better, being newer – but it was quite a hassle to get there.
We had breakfast in Building 18. I asked for a disposable cup to take a coffee to go, but they didn't have any disposable cups! If you're paying full price for this hotel with breakfast included, the breakfast is really quite mediocre, not many options. Compared to luxury hotels at a similar price point (thousands more), the breakfast was a bit disappointing (I didn't take pictures).
Overall, the service and the recovery efforts were very good. The garden landscape of the state guesthouse is indeed fantastic. For those with a bigger budget, I'd recommend booking a room in the newly renovated or newly opened buildings.

The location is excellent, and the high-floor view is quite good. The afternoon tea included in the Trip.com package was incredibly good value for money, I just forgot to take a picture before eating it.
The room is quite spacious, clean, and tidy. The facilities aren't brand new; there's no high-speed hairdryer or smart toilet, and the power outlet next to the desk was a bit difficult to open. There's only one tissue box, placed on the vanity. However, these are minor issues and don't really matter; they're easily adjustable.
What I found unacceptable were two problems. Firstly, the elevator shaft connecting the suspended lobby to the first floor constantly emitted a whistling wind sound, which was noisy and unsettling. Secondly, I'm not sure if the air conditioning system is old and ineffective, or if they're saving energy and haven't turned it on properly. I couldn't adjust the temperature or mode. Outside, the temperature was dropping fast, nearing zero degrees, yet even with the in-room AC control set to 28°C, there was still no airflow. I called the front desk, and it took an age for someone to arrive. They pointed a forehead thermometer at the vent, it beeped, and they claimed the vent was blowing 26°C, saying there was no problem and that this was the set temperature, controlled centrally by the hotel. The problem is, I had the whimsical idea to hold a paper-thin tissue up to the vent, and it didn't even flutter.

Excellent location! The InterContinental Nanjing Greenland deserves a five-star rating! The transportation is incredibly convenient! It's a direct 5-minute walk from Gulou Station Exit 4A (Metro Lines 1/4), making it super easy to get to Xinjiekou and Xuanwu Lake. Perfect for both business trips and leisure travel. I stayed in a high-floor lake view room, and the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offered breathtaking views of Jinling City. Watching the city lights at night was absolutely magical. The bathroom amenities were exquisite, and the hygiene was impeccable. The front desk staff was warm and efficient, and the experience of being high up in the landmark tower was fantastic. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Nanjing!

Warmth at Jinling, a Home Away From Home – A Heartfelt Birthday Trip
We recently brought our family to Nanjing, and chose the Jinling Hotel to celebrate my brother's birthday. What started as a simple travel plan turned into a cherished family memory, all thanks to the hotel's ubiquitous thoughtfulness and warmth. As an iconic and long-standing hotel in Nanjing, Jinling Hotel not only maintains its five-star quality but also exemplifies what it means to feel 'at home' through its meticulous attention to detail.
Before our arrival, we only casually mentioned that the trip was for my brother's birthday. We never expected this small wish to be taken so seriously. The moment we opened our room door, the entire family was touched by what we saw: the room was adorned with warm balloons and flowers, and the elegant color scheme made it even more refined. The customized birthday decorations were tastefully understated, perfectly setting the celebratory mood. Coupled with the fresh birthday cake prepared by the hotel, its sweet aroma instantly melted away our travel fatigue. The room's design itself was a pleasant surprise – spacious and minimalist, without unnecessary clutter, yet utilizing the space perfectly. The soft bedding and thoughtful storage design made the living experience exceptionally comfortable for our family of four, allowing children to play and adults to relax without disturbance, creating a wonderfully cozy atmosphere.
The breakfast was a culinary feast, fully satisfying our entire family's palate. The restaurant offered a rich variety of options, especially the diverse selection of local 'small carbs,' which were unforgettable: the Pig Skin Noodles had a rich broth and chewy noodles with abundant toppings; the Vermicelli Soup was fresh and savory, providing a comforting warmth with every spoonful; the famous Jinling Pork Buns lived up to their reputation, with thin, fluffy dough and a firm, juicy meat filling, full of authentic Jiangnan flavor; and the Pan-Fried Buns had a crispy bottom and thin skin, bursting with fragrant juices when bitten into. Each dish was made with quality ingredients and authentic flavors, allowing us to deeply appreciate the unique charm of Nanjing cuisine. If there was one minor suggestion, it would be to add more protein options like salmon and beef to the breakfast spread for a more balanced nutrition.
The most commendable aspect was the impeccable service provided by Jinling Yashe K throughout our stay. Whenever we had any needs, contacting her via WeChat always resulted in an immediate response. From travel inquiries to adjustments in room details, she consistently anticipated our needs, proactively addressing issues efficiently, completely devoid of the usual formality of traditional hotel service. What was even more heartwarming was that during breakfast, she specially arranged for a colleague to deliver a souvenir to us. This unexpected surprise made our entire family feel valued and remembered. This 'attentive and heartfelt' service is truly the most captivating essence of Jinling Hotel.
From the thoughtful room decor and the rich, delicious breakfast to the attentive service from Jinling Yashe K and all the staff, Jinling Hotel exemplifies high-quality service in every detail. Our stay far exceeded expectations. Whether for business trips or family vacations in the future, Jinling Hotel will be our first choice in Nanjing. We hope this warmth and dedication can bring a sense of belonging to even more travelers.

The Crowne Plaza Suzhou is ideally located on the west bank of Jinji Lake, south of Modern Avenue, just across the street from landmarks like the Gate of the Orient and Suzhou Center Plaza, and right next to the Musical Fountain Square. Its unique cruise ship design is a real eye-catcher. From the east bank of Jinji Lake, you can see the 'Big Underpants' (Gate of the Orient) and the 'cruise ship' (Crowne Plaza) in the same frame, especially dazzling at night with all the lights.
The hotel's service truly reflects the high standards of the IHG group:
The night before check-in, a hotel representative called to confirm our reservation. Upon learning that our party included two seniors and one child, they specially noted our requests for early check-in and a twin room at the front desk and tried their best to accommodate them.
Upon arrival, the hotel upgraded us to an Executive Room, which was very spacious. The two single beds, in particular, were wide enough for one adult and one child to comfortably share a bed without feeling cramped.
The service throughout our stay was incredibly warm and attentive. The bellhop proactively helped with our luggage, and after checking in, the front desk staff kindly escorted us to the elevators. Learning that we had a boy with us, they even arranged for housekeeping to deliver a pair of children's slippers.
The breakfast buffet was a definite highlight. The dining environment at Saint Saloon Western Restaurant was very bright and comfortable, and we were even able to sit at the 'bow' of the ship, enjoying the beautiful views of Jinji Lake while we ate.
Guests also enjoy complimentary parking. After registering our license plate number at the front desk, driving in and out of the hotel multiple times was very smooth.
Whether for a family vacation or a business trip to Suzhou, the Crowne Plaza Suzhou is an excellent choice.

Everything was top tier. From the check-in where I was upgraded to a river view room, the clean, spacious and inviting room to the service and superb breakfast. The view from the restaurant was amazing.
This was my pre birthday trip and the Hyatt made it so special. I even got a slice to birthday cake. The lady at the front desk who checked me in spoke really good English and was so kind and caring and she’s also a Gemini 😁🎉 I would 100% recommend and come back here.

New hotel, friendly staff but is going to be outdated soon. Bad sound proofing , lots of drunk Chinese people shouting in the corridor at night time.
The breakfast variety is so poor for Europeans. Please teach your staff in the restaurant to cook sunny side up eggs and refill the dishes without reminding.
Overall, it’s not “real Hilton” experience.

MM478380****The tatami-style room is simple and comfortable. The space is generous, and the bathroom features a wet/dry separation. Soaking in the bathtub was incredibly relaxing. There's also a small, private world on the balcony where you can sit in a lounge chair and enjoy some tea. The location is excellent too; you're just a few hundred meters from the Shantang Street scenic area.

MMolingI absolutely have to rave about the front desk service at this hotel! The staff there were incredibly warm and attentive throughout my stay. The young man who checked me in was super efficient and quick. Any requests I had were promptly met, and he patiently answered all my questions. The thoughtful little details made me feel so welcome. The room facilities were complete and felt very high quality; the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the bathroom fixtures worked perfectly – truly showcasing the hotel's commitment to quality everywhere. Both the warmth of the service and the practicality of the amenities far exceeded my expectations. I'm extremely satisfied! This is a hidden gem of a hotel, and I'll definitely be back.

JJingjingyuThe Kimpton Bamboo Grove Suzhou is an absolute gem! Its location is fantastic, right in the heart of Suzhou, within walking distance to the Master of the Nets Garden, Shiquan Street, and Canglang Pavilion. It's also very close to Fengmen Old Street. Parking is convenient, and public transport (buses and subway) are right next door, making getting around a breeze.
The hotel's design is unique and exquisite, with every corner offering a picturesque view. It's filled with traditional Chinese aesthetics and the charm of Suzhou gardens. Bamboo groves, red maples, serene lakes, and rockeries are cleverly integrated into every guest room. We stayed in a courtyard room with our furry friend. The room was spacious, as was the courtyard, which came with lounge chairs and beautiful maple trees – enough space for our dog to run around happily.
The complimentary social hour, while not offering a huge selection, was quite refined and delicious. The hotel breakfast was truly astonishing; even many luxury hotels don't offer such a lavish spread. Not only was there a wide variety of fruits, but they even had whole coconuts for guests to enjoy!
The hotel management is top-notch, and the staff are warm, sincere, and always greet you with a smile. Our dedicated little butler, Vickey, was particularly wonderful. She's not only beautiful and charming but also incredibly thoughtful in her service. Before our check-in, she added us on WeChat to provide all necessary information and meticulously prepared a dog bed, bowls, toys, a water cup, and even a special dog meal for our furry child. She also created beautiful, personalized postcards for our dog, which made us, as pet parents, incredibly happy! When we asked if we could have a few more postcards made, she readily agreed and delivered them to our room. At check-out, she was kind enough to help us with our luggage and press the elevator button. Her service was absolutely outstanding and deserves high praise!
Overall, our experience at the Kimpton Bamboo Grove left us with a fantastic impression. We will definitely consider staying here again.

MM425341****We booked a private family room, and the housekeeper, Ms. Zhou, checked us in and took us to the guest room. The room has a large bed and a small bed. The bathing pool is in the yard. If you need to soak in the hot spring, just tell Ms. Zhou and she will happily come over and help fill the hot spring water. She is a very nice person. I really like her. No. I had to go to the public hot springs to soak with others, it was very comfortable. I also went to Nanshan Bamboo Sea. The air was very good. I had a very good accommodation experience this time. I will go there often in the future!
XXiaoyouchengThe bed was massive, felt like 2.4 meters! The hotel environment is super nice, very clean, and luxurious. There were also many international guests. There's an outlet mall nearby, within walking distance, but I didn't go. The styles and brands weren't that impressive. I chose this hotel because I was here for Brother Sheng's concert, and it was close by. It was really good!
RRuthWe were happy with our stay here. The room was nicer than it looked online, and the hotel was really clean. There are playrooms for young children that are free (3 rooms with some different toys in each room). The rooms are a bit old and tired, but my 2 year old enjoyed playing there and requested UK hi back lots of times. For parents it is just great to have somewhere for your kid to play and have fun, especially as the weather was very cold when we went! Outside there is a play area and sand digging pit. Location is walking distance from Tongli old town. Restaurant does evening buffet, and buffet breakfast. The food is fine, more Chinese than western, my husband really liked it and my favourite part was the Beijing roast duck at dinner. The pool is warm, with floats and rubber rings to borrow. There is a little land train, it takes a 10 minute trip around the hotel grounds and the cost is 20RMB for one adult and child. For me it was very boring but my son loved it 😂
The staff are very warm and friendly, everyone is very professional. Each guest is connected to a butler on wechat before they arrive so you can easily send a message and get some help. Our butler is Yu Ting and she helped us very professionally.
For me, the things the hotel can improve are (1) the animal petting zoo - by western standard the facilities for the animals are not very good, just concrete enclosure with hut. For foreigners, we do not really like this. (2) We had a problem with the other guests smoking in the hotel, eg in the coffee bar. When I complained to the staff they tried to stop the guests, but even though they repeatedly reminded them to stop, the other guests continued. In the end they arranged for me to move to a private room near the bar where I could avoid the smoking. I was very grateful that they found a solution for me and my baby, but I am speechless there are such guests who flagrantly break the rules and the hotel cannot stop them. We smelled smoke in some different public areas, so maybe this is a problem with several guests 🙁
Overall we are happy with our stay and it is a good place to spend a few days with kids.
CC. P. LeeI found this hotel by chance after learning that the one where I was originally wanting to book was sold out for my dates. I guess it was luck, because this place is so beautiful and calming. The pictures do not lie! I booked one of their top floor rooms, but I didn't realize that I would be navigating a short but steep step of winding stairs to access it. (Elevators are between the 1st and 2nd floor guest rooms only.) Even as a relatively able person, I still took my time going up and down the steps. The room itself is nothing short of amazing; in addition to the outdoor private tub on the patio, there's also a tea ”alcove,” and also a king-sized bed in a sparsely- but chicly furnished main room. It's a pity I stayed for only two days, and I didn't have the chance to explore their offerings of a sound bath, etc. The staff also brought up some kind of soup concoction on the first night, which was very kind! Breakfast is included, but guest have to go to the building across the path, and take the elevator to the 2nd floor. I tried only the Western breakfast; maybe the Chinese breakfast is more hearty.
Tip #1: When ordering a DiDi or taxi, drop your pin at the hotel's precise location, and not just at the security check at the main entrance. From reading other reviews, I thought that cars not belonging to guest couldn't get in, so I ended up walking with heavy luggage to get to the entrance of the hotel. Fortunately, when I left, I was able to get the DiDi to the hotel parking lot.
Tip #2: Staff possess varying degrees of English levels, but I'd still recommend this place if (like me) you don't speak any Chinese. Make sure to add WeChat and add the hotel's account as a friend; this is the fastest way to contact them during your stay. Staff and I communicated via this method, as well as interpretation apps (Google Translate on my end).
Tip #3: Humble Administrator's Garden is about a 20-25 mn walk south. The closest ”scenic area” is along the Grand Canal, which just over the wall north of the hotel. You'll likely need to take the bus (download Amap) and/or take a DiDi to get to different places.
