Pan Pacific Suzhou is one of those rare hotels where the stay itself feels like part of the sightseeing. It combines Suzhou’s classical garden charm with modern comforts in a way that feels both tranquil and indulgent. Garden resort setting The hotel is built in the style of a classical Suzhou garden, with courtyards, covered walkways, sculpted bridges, ponds and pavilions spread over expansive grounds. Walking around the property can feel like wandering through a private scenic park, with many rooms and paths looking directly onto landscaped greenery and traditional architecture. Direct access to Panmen Scenic Area A standout perk is its location right beside the historic Panmen Scenic Area, home to ancient gates, pagodas and canals. Guests typically enjoy complimentary or convenient access via a dedicated entrance, turning morning strolls or evening walks among the illuminated walls and waterways into a daily ritual rather than a rushed excursion. Rooms and views Most rooms offer either serene garden vistas or views over Panmen’s walls, waterways and even Ruiguang Pagoda from some angles. Inside, the rooms pair contemporary comforts like high‑speed internet and workspaces with warm, subtly traditional decor, so you get a sense of place without sacrificing modern convenience. Location and convenience While it feels like a secluded resort, the hotel sits in a prime Suzhou district with easy access to key attractions, shopping and dining. Suzhou Railway Station is only a short drive away and the nearest metro station is about a five‑minute walk, making it straightforward to reach popular gardens and business areas without losing that peaceful “garden retreat” base.

If you visit Yangzhou, this is the only hotel I recommend anyone to stay at. It has the gorgeous Chinese garden that spreads out for miles. I stayed in building 3 (the only building offered on the internet when I booked). The hotel is connected (walk over the bridge) to the Slender Lake. Staff were very courteous and helpful. My room was tidied up everyday. Breakfast was not include in the room rate but there is a Starbuck nearby where I had my morning coffee and pastry. The room has a balcony, overlooking some trees and other building. Most of the restaurants/eateries were closed (probably due to low season). However, there are a lot of local restaurants in the old town area and Guan Dong Street; it costs about 10 Yuans to take a taxi to get there.

When I visited Wuxi for Chinese New Year, I stayed at the Hyatt and was very impressed by its location, facilities, and Chinese restaurant. So, when I brought my parents to Wuxi this time, I chose it again. Even though it's now rebranded as Suning Galaxy, the service is still excellent. I especially want to thank our concierge, Gessia. She contacted me on WeChat a day in advance to understand my request for a quiet room with an extra bed. When we checked in the next day, the extra bed was already set up, and she thoughtfully prepared all the in-room amenities, along with welcome fruits and an additional breakfast. Throughout our stay, Gessia was incredibly responsive and efficient via WeChat whenever we had any questions or needs, which was very reassuring. Every staff member at the hotel was smiling, greeted us proactively, and spoke softly, making us feel very comfortable.

Huge thanks to the front desk lady for upgrading our room since I'm pregnant! We got an executive room on the 71st floor, which offered an even more expansive view. While the room facilities do show a bit of age, they weren't as bad as some other reviews suggested. Unfortunately, a major cold front hit on our second day, and the view outside was completely white, which felt like a bit of a waste of the great scenery. The breakfast buffet was decent too, definitely not as bad as some people claimed. The hotel's location is excellent; most nearby attractions are within two subway stops. The subway station being right downstairs was a pleasant surprise for my husband – super convenient for getting around!

For my two-day trip to Nanjing, I chose the Jinling Hotel, a well-established five-star hotel. It's conveniently located right at a subway exit in the city center, making transportation a breeze. But the most impressive part was definitely the service. After checking in, I was immediately contacted by a dedicated '尊荣热线' (VIP hotline) butler via WeChat. Any request I had during my stay was met with a quick response to a single message. The Jinling's long-standing reputation for understanding and delivering meticulous guest service is truly well-deserved. I'll definitely choose the Jinling again for my next visit to Nanjing!

I specifically chose the Crowne Plaza Suzhou during my trip this time. The price was right, and it completely exceeded my expectations! The hotel looks like a luxurious cruise ship, and the lobby has a grand, high ceiling. Every photo I took looked upscale, especially with all the Christmas decorations now that it's close to Christmas. There's a big, beautiful Christmas tree right as you walk in. When I checked in, I was given a lake-view room, and the view was absolutely stunning. Golden Rooster Lake is right outside the floor-to-ceiling windows, and when the lights come on at night, you can take in the entire city's brilliance. During my stay, the service details were also very thoughtful. Cecelia and Layla were both smiling, warm, and attentive. The bellhop proactively helped with my luggage the whole time, and check-in was efficient and quick. The breakfast selection was so rich it was hard to choose; I had a bowl of Suzhou-style noodles, and the freshly made omelet was also great. Most importantly, the hotel's location is super convenient. You can walk to the Jinji Lake scenic area, and in the evening, if you have time, you can take a stroll on the boardwalk downstairs. I highly recommend everyone stay here when visiting Suzhou!

Everything was top tier. From the check-in where I was upgraded to a river view room, the clean, spacious and inviting room to the service and superb breakfast. The view from the restaurant was amazing. This was my pre birthday trip and the Hyatt made it so special. I even got a slice to birthday cake. The lady at the front desk who checked me in spoke really good English and was so kind and caring and she’s also a Gemini 😁🎉 I would 100% recommend and come back here.

Great location for our purpose. Walking distance to badminton stadium. Hotel design is very unique and room is spacious too!

New hotel, friendly staff but is going to be outdated soon. Bad sound proofing , lots of drunk Chinese people shouting in the corridor at night time. The breakfast variety is so poor for Europeans. Please teach your staff in the restaurant to cook sunny side up eggs and refill the dishes without reminding. Overall, it’s not “real Hilton” experience.

Before our stay, the hotel staff, particularly Iris, called to discuss our check-in details. Upon learning we had a child, she thoughtfully arranged kid-friendly amenities like a toiletries kit, a children's bathrobe, and slippers, which made our child very happy. She also pre-registered our car license plate, making entry and exit from the hotel parking lot seamless. The check-in process itself was very smooth, and all the hotel staff were incredibly enthusiastic. The Christmas decorations throughout the hotel added a wonderful ambiance. Located right on Jinji Lake, the lake view was excellent, and the Ferris wheel view thrilled our child, who declared they want to stay here again next time! Overall, choosing InterContinental is always a worthwhile experience.
