I had the most relaxing vacation I ever had on this island. The room was comfortable and clean. I loved swaying on the hammock in the common area and on the patio outside my Casita. The food and drinks were fantastic. I was there for a week and thought I would want to go into Granada for a couple of meals but the food at the hotel was so good I ate every meal there. And breakfast was free!! The service was incredible. They were so helpful with everything from scheduling tours and massages to making all of our various drink orders to helping us with our kayaks. Everyone was so nice and friendly. Special shout out to the handsome Captain Jack, the resident cat, who let me pet him and said goodbye to me as I left the island. My friends and I are already discussing when we can return.

This was my favorite stay at a hostel so far. The hotel was clean and modern. The staff was the best part. Alex and Eliezer were so kind and helpful, which is so important when you are a solo traveler like me. They were attentive and really made my experience here the best!! I will be coming back soon!!
Hotel Plaza Colon - Granada Nicaragua

Location is fabulous - beautiful colonial hotel in the heart of Granada. Doesn’t get any better than this - Rooms are beautiful - make sure to upgrade to a balcony room overlooking the square and facing the cathedral (yes the carriage horses stink and it can be a bit noisy in the early morning but worth the upgrade). The place becomes alive by 8am. - Beautiful clean and warm pool. - Breakfast has lots of choices. For vegans it’s toast, sometimes avocado, fruit & juice and beans & rice. You can also ask for just beans - they are accommodating. - Beds are large and comfortable - however, after 3 bashes & leg bruises, we had to prop pillows at the footboard to stop bashing our legs into them. - Pillows are foam and hard as a rocks. Try the sham ones. - Safe and yummy Nicaraguan coffee in the room. - Wifi is very poor! A/C is good. - TV with CNN, BBC & Fox in English. - Bar downstairs is excellent and prices are reasonable. - Water jug in hallway as you can’t drink the water. - A few irritants but highly recommend.

Lovely hotel, excellent location and very kind staff. Everyone friendly and always keen to help. We stayed for a few days on the way down Nicaragua and this hotel was a real treat and a very special place. There’s lots to do in Granada, but we were sufficiently happy to just stay in this beautiful building for quite a lot of the time.

We stayed one night at this charming boutique hotel and had the most wonderful time. We could easily stay for another night or two. When we arrived, we were greeted by the most friendly staff that made us feel at home. The hotel is beautiful, with a colonial style architecture and extremely good taste decoration. Very private, and small enough to make you feel immersed in the culture. Our room was the most comfortable of our whole stay in Nicaragua. It was very spacious with a huge bed and an amazing mattress. The room had direct access to the swimming pool and it was great just getting out of the room in the evening and enjoy a night swim. We were alone with the whole place to ourselves and it was the best experience! The location is perfect, very close to all main attractions and you can just walk around very easily. There are many restaurants, local shops and coffee places just around the corner. In the morning we were prepared a huge, delicious breakfast with fruit, amazing coffee (as usual in Nicaragua) and the best gallo pinto with eggs. Granada is definitely worth visiting, and staying at Hotel Boutique Adela made our visit even more enjoyable. We hope to be back soon.
