3-Star Hotels in West Coast, New Zealand

Maybe it's the off-season, so there weren't many guests. The biggest plus was the very new bathroom. The room was small, and there were no kitchen facilities. A small fridge hung awkwardly over the sink, which was really inconvenient. The closet was so packed with an ironing board and other items that there was hardly any space to hang clothes.

It is alright, but not great - certainly it is worn around the edges. It is the first place I stayed in during my 3 week holiday with no fridge... So much for the by now warm riggers of beer I bought at breweries en route. The service was never with any kind of smile. The food in their restaurant was adequate and the beer was, to my taste, bland and unexciting. Staying here is not a disaster, but nor is it memorable. For the amount they must make (the room was not inexpensive) they could and should do better. But I guess it is a captive market in season, and ”just about good enough” is all they need to bother with.

Given 1 for amenities as the bed was too soft and the shower was very weak and the temperature gauge was very tricky. Needed to be a plumber to set the optimum temperature. The fridge did not work. the temperature gauge button was broken

I got upgraded to another room so I was thankful for that ! The room smelled a bit (moldish) even though the guests already there had opened the window but by night, it got better. Otherwise, the room was big and had a heater which was really convenient. I was happy to see a sink in the room but it wasn't usable unfortunately. I thought it would have been nice! The kitchen is well equipped, there are books available in the dining room! Emplacement is very good, close to the train station and a few activities.

Good location, near to train station, Woolworth and restaurants and cafes. They provide milk for coffee. Gave us suggestions on where to explore. Easy drive to Shanty Town and 30mins drive to Glow Worm Dell. However, bring your own toiletries like shampoo, conditioner and body wash - no holder to place them but on the floor. There were bugs flying in the room as the kitchen/toilet faces the garden. I had bites on my finger and a spot on my face. No power supply near the bed but on the kitchen area.

The landlord is very enthusiastic. The apartment is in a residential area. There is a playground right outside the door. It is not a big town and it is very convenient to go anywhere. The town center is only a few minutes away.

Such a spacious and lovely unit. Had everything that we needed and the spa bath was amazing!

The room is spacious, clean and tidy. It is close to the main road but unaffected by any traffic noise. The bed is comfortable. The kitchenette provides enough facilities for you to prepare the meals using microwave. One issue is that the ventilation fan inside the washroom is noisy during operation but can be turned off before going to sleep.

In the town of hokitika on the west coast of New Zealand, very close to the Firefly Valley, the grasshopper needs a few minutes walk. In addition, the hokitika valley is also worth going, the water is blue and clear and bright. A little better in New Zealand, the attractions are basically free. We booked the cheapest room with no separate bathroom. In addition, pay attention to Trip.com can not contact the store directly. It is booked through other agents. The room type facilities in the middle may have errors.

We stayed for one night in Franz Josef. The check-in was easy and they had some good recommendations for the area, but also for activities along the road to Queenstown. The amenities were good and the bathroom seemed very new and clean! The location is good, as everything is walkable, but there are also restaurants available in short walking distance. I can definitely recommend staying at this motel!
