3-Star Hotels in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan

Super accessible location from the JR Sannomiya train station exit and lots of nice eateries around the area. There are convenient stores and tax-free drug store within 50m from the hotel too. 10-15 minutes walking distance to nearby shopping streets as well as other shopping stores such as Montbell (Tax free), Asics, ABC mart, Uniqlo etc. Can consider taking a train in evening to JR Kobe station and look at the night lights of Kobe Port Tower and then take a 30-40min slow walk back. There’s are also many nice Kobe beef eateries around the JR Sannomiya area too!

The location of Kobe Lumen Hotel is very good. It is in the city and the parking lot is easy to find. It is in the alley directly opposite the hotel and the price is reasonable. The hotel service is very good. We arrived very late and the check-in time was past, but they did not neglect us and arranged to check in immediately. When we checked out in the morning, we were 5 minutes late and they did not say anything. They were very gentle. The room was very clean and warm. The sound insulation effect was very good and suitable for living. In short, because of the comparison with the previous one, this one is simply heaven. The only flaw is that the room is a little small. Everything else is acceptable, mainly because of the cheap price.

The staff were nice enough but gave very little information about the facility and it was only from looking at the guide I knew about WiFi etc. there’s also a rooftop terrace, laundry, rest area etc which they didn’t mention and I didn’t use because of this. Breakfast didn’t look anything special and was a little cold but actually tasted far nicer than I was expecting. Hotel is old but otherwise ok, small rooms as per Japan. Bit of an odd location as its just outside a shopping centre you had to walk through from the station to get there but it’s about halfway between the station and castle

The hotel is generally OK. They give breakfast in the morning, you can order Japanese and European. You need to order breakfast in time. There is enough breakfast in the morning. The amenities were good, although one day the trash was not taken out. I don’t know what it was connected with, apparently there was some kind of delay. The main minus is the location from the station, it’s about 20 minutes’ walk up a small hill. The trains run strictly in Japanese and until late. Be prepared for this if you choose the hotel for its price. You have to walk the last 50 meters along the highway. It’s also easy to get to Arima directly from Kobe, where there is a good choice of inexpensive accommodation. I liked Kobe in general. So think before making a choice. I walk a lot and the location of the hotel was not a problem for me.

It was cheap, but the facilities were old

This historic hotel truly captures the essence of its era, yet it was immaculately clean. A delightful surprise was the discount offered for the public bath, where I got to fully immerse myself in Japanese bathing culture. The water was spotlessly clean and continuously circulated, and male guests even had access to a sauna. I booked this hotel at Kobe Airport (possibly in connection with a private jet service), and it proved to be an excellent decision.

The hotel near the Kobe Sannomiya station and also near the center of the Kobe, walk not too far to find the good restaurants. The staff at the front desk can rarely speak English but she willing to help us. The room is standard clean. We got the room near the elevator even we have choose the option far from the elevator in the Trip, anyway the room is quiet so there’s no problem. Attached with the scenario I took from the window of the room.

This hotel is right across the plaza from the train station, and having travelled with bags I can tell you that is a godsend. The room itself is lovely and the staff are very friendly and professional. Check in and out are painless, getting around is easy as the train line is perfect for getting into the heart of Osaka, or going the other way out to Kobe. There's also nice local food choices nearby.

Rooms are bigger than average Japanese hotels, basically a new hotel just a minute away from KOBE CHINA TOWN. Plenty of shops to enjoy food or shopping. Breakfast is a little simple Indian restaurant, nothing to choose much. Bicycles can been rent at the front desk for 500 JPY per use. Very convenient to get around the city. Will absolutely stay here every-TIME visiting KOBE.

We had a room with two beds, quite large, the room had everything. The hotel is not new. It is noticeable. The mattress was uncomfortable for me. The location is quite convenient, 15 minutes from the station.
