My recent stay at Oakridge Resort Lake Wanaka was overall a very positive experience, thanks to its fantastic amenities. After long days spent exploring the stunning surrounding landscapes, the hot pools were an absolute highlight. Soaking in the warm water under the stars was incredibly relaxing and a perfect way to unwind tired muscles. This was definitely a standout feature of the resort and something I greatly appreciated.
If I were to be particularly picky, the only minor annoyance during my stay was a faint but persistent hissing sound coming from the telephone line in my room. While it wasn't overly loud, it did become a little distracting when trying to get to sleep.
Despite this small issue, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Oakridge Resort.
The room was huge and every care has been taken to ensure you are comfortable. The sofa bed is slatted which means it is like a normal bed. The king bediss amazing, so comfortable. Apart from being on the outskirts of Dunedin (not very far) I could not fault this motel. There is a guest kitchen where you can prepare your own food and then you can join the other guests.
The owner was very helpful and could not do enough for us. Would stay again.
Stayed for four nights, it was great, it was the best memory of the trip, the villa was big, clean, fully equipped, kitchen, living room, bedroom, bathroom appliances are all high-end. The lake view is also very beautiful, you can see different views in different weather, the price-performance ratio is very high, very enjoyable. It may take about 20 minutes to walk to the town. Before leaving, we got the enthusiastic and patient help of Ms. Alana, who helped us retrieve the lost items, thank you very much. Highly recommended.
This was a lovely motel for my husband and dog. Very clean, good bed, two tvs and complimentary teas, coffees and bathroom shampoos abd body wash. Shower was hot and good pressure. Had a good heater and electric blanket. Good value for money. Would definitely go back again.
Really lovely homestay boutique hotel. Room was lovely and spacious with great attention to detail. Bathroom and amenities are great. Breakfast and staff are lovely and although more expensive than some hotels it is easy to see why. Would love to stay again.
First of all, it must be certain that the scenery and location are really nice. The cooking desk provides tableware, cooking oil, salt and pepper, but because the cooking desk and the room are connected, the air in the room is not very good after 4 days of living. Room service needs you to email to make an appointment. If you don’t call, The room will not be cleaned every day. B&B inn, self-check-in, no front desk, self-service card, the last day at 11 noon card automatically invalidated, can not open the door.
We love the location , only 3 minutes walk to the supermarket. Cooking appliances are more than enough for many users. We booked room for 3 and has own bathroom. The Bunk bed is comfortable,I love the upper bed that has a height ceiling where you can sit with out knocking and the bed curtain is noise proved.
Passing by this town, I stayed for one night. A standard motel, there is nothing to look forward to, quite satisfactory. Good health, location is also on the main road of the town. The disadvantage is that my room is on the second floor and it is more troublesome to carry luggage. If you have more luggage, try to let the owner provide you with a room on the first floor, so as not to carry your luggage up and down the stairs.
It was unexpected. The balcony directly overlooks the snow-capped mountains and Lake Wanaka. It is very convenient. You can cook and wash clothes. When you look up from the kitchen, you can see the snow-capped mountains. It is so beautiful.
My family loved this accommodation. We especially love its proximity to the town centre. We do not need to drive to the town centre, thereby saving us the hassle of finding a car park lot for our rental car.
Our unit comes with 2 twin beds, which is ideal for my two growing kids. The bedrooms are predominantly white theme, which is what we absolutely love.
The bathrooms are very clean and hotel like.
We like the washer and dryer too. We would have hope for a unit with a better view, though we do get to see mountains when we look up.
All I can say is that we love it!

Very Good
FFirew DemelashI had 3 night Copthorne Hotel and Resort
Queenstown Lakefront the room is clean and basic the bed comfortable l had a good sleep the room to big even had a good seating area coffee tea in the room TV had variety of choices however the bathroom that not that great they need to get rid of that bath basin I am not sure what is purpose? The shower curtain so cheap common if you charge your guests a top dollars you can afford a decent shower curtain it New Zealand not a 3rd world country. All the Wi-fi so terrible even basic email take time to download also what is deposit for if you don't have any minibar in the room? I think all those can improve a good management I had pizz one night taste good anyway this Queenstown accommodation always in short that way they don't care still a good place to crush a big hot two.
KKhoThe place is spacious and the location is excellent. It is right next to the main road. After watching the little penguins, you can buy fast food nearby before returning to the hostel. The room is spacious and there are staff on duty at night. You can park at the door, which is very convenient
效效用函数The location of the hotel is very close to the Blue Penguin Center, there is a parking lot, the room is not big, it is estimated that no extra bed can be added, milk was delivered when I checked in, the hot water was very flushing, and the hygiene was good!
이이진희We chose this hotel because we expected to enjoy its winery/food. Otherwise, we should have stayed in Queenstown with a lot of restaurants and pubs.
As we would arrive in the early evening, we put a note for our hope for experiencing their winery and food (or at least finger foods) when we booked the hotel, and received email that they cannot guarantee but will do their best to serve our need. Since then, no email was sent to us. When we arrived at the hotel around 6 pm, no one was in the information desk, so we had to go to the bistro to find out that they left the key in a safe box without any notice or sending us any email with its password. We had to wait a while for the bistro lady to make a phone call to whom it concerns, which was okay. Worse, we heard that their bistro was reserved for a group event so we could not use the facility at all. We had to drive 15 minutes to a nearby town and bought foods from a supermarket. I think the hotel should have notified us of impossibility of using their bistro/food service due to the group event and we have to prepare for our food. As I checked out, I left a note about the issues, and expected they would send me an email to express their sincere apology. Unfortunately nothing happened so far. Although I liked the room as well as the whole place very much, I think Kinross cottage needs professionalism to run their stay program. It could have been much nicer, memorable stay experience.
NNix - ZaiThe view from our room was amazing. However, there was a beam in the room that obstructed the perfect shot, which made the pictures look annoying. The bed was quite dusty, with dust particles visible on the white linens. Additionally, the room was very small, and the online photos were misleading. The toilet was not clean, the room service only replaced the bath towels on the second day and did not perform basic dusting or vacuuming, which is expected in a hotel setting, not an Airbnb. Overall, the view was the only aspect that made our stay enjoyable.
SshaycydwThe facility seems pretty new. Spacious room with modern units and decor. They gave us free welcome cookies which was a nice touch. However, the free parking spots are limited and fcfs, or else there’s an option for paid parking (not run by the hotel but located right under — as I was told) or park quite far out.
Ssuki_zhuangThe hotel's breakfast times are very strict. Five families stayed here, and one of them arrived for breakfast at 10 AM only to be denied entry. This meant we missed out on the pre-paid breakfast, which was a significant loss. I would not recommend the breakfast at this hotel; it's much better to head to the city center for some bread and milk, as the hotel's breakfast is truly mediocre. It was, in fact, the worst breakfast I've had during my 15 days in New Zealand.
The hotel itself is pleasant, and its location isn't too far from the city center, which would be acceptable if you're not traveling with kids. However, for us, with children, it was genuinely tiring because parking in the city center is neither convenient nor cheap.
While the hotel's overall environment and cleanliness were good, one minor inconvenience was the old-fashioned, fixed showerhead that couldn't be detached. All in all, this hotel is not very convenient for families with young children.
LLandersMercure Queenstown Resort has offered very good services with great hospitality. The room given has a great view overseeing a big lake right from the middle. Livin (A name for New Zealander, I suppose) offered great hospitality for us and even treated us a VIP favour by giving an in room slipper.. thank you.. if you are lucky you can even spot a double rainbow…
Superb.. love Queenstown and Mercure Resort..
Also Accor membership is usable here.. bravo..
YYA FANGI won’t recommend it,they couldn’t find my booking under my name so they charged me again. when I told them that I didn’t get the refund, they said they’ll send an email to manager, but they did nothing until I called them and asked. They only took it seriously when I asked their manager’s contact. It took so long to get my refund and I had to pay transaction fees!!
We booked the sauna when we checked in,then the next day we went to the reception, they said they couldn’t find my booking again, and they didn’t even apologise for that,it’s all just ridiculous!
GGuest UserWe were only there for the night. Restaurants were available at the hotel and were connected to the Grand Casino. Pedestrian zone nearby. Breakfast was a bit more expensive. Friendly service. I would recommend it.
