Difficult to get to the pub car park
Good breakfast
Helpful manager and staff apart from a young girl (who apparently was due to leave a few days later), who was pretty unhelpful
Cosy, warm bedroom
Travelling from Australia we really love the look and atmoshpere of these English Pubs. Great room
Great service.
Very short walk to Port Isaac.
May be a bit challenging for some to navigate the steep stairs.
Very friendly and Harry (think that was his name) was great value.
Perfect pub and accomodation for a perfect setting.
The Premier Inn suited our purpose but can’t say the same for restaurant next door!
Biggest complaint was the fact no toilet paper in disabled toilet! Really embarrassing situation and the floor generally needed a good scrub. Noticed mirrors in restaurant could do with a shine, table tops were sticky, window ledges outside have obviously not been cleaned for months and skirting boards the same . It generally needs a good overhaul. Food nothing to write home about and very mediocre. This sadly reflects on the
Premier and would think twice about staying again.

Porth Veor Manor, Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western is just over a mile from Newquay, within easy walking distance of all the amenities it has to offer, but far enough away to act as a haven from the hustle!
Prettily perched above Porth Beach, you can look forward to breathtaking views across to Trevose lighthouse. But if you fancy a stroll, our terrific terraced gardens flourish in the mild Cornish climate and a private path leads you to join the coastal route, with easy access to Porth beach below.
The hotel building itself is a charming 19th Century manor, packed with
original features such as our winding staircase and open fires. And as were big on good taste, youll find award winning locally sourced food in the relaxing interior of our restaurant too!
The location and hotel was lovely. Good room and fantastic food. The grounds are outstanding and the view in the morning was wonderful. An outstanding stay in a great location. Highly recommended!
Life's a beach at Premier Inn Hotel Newquay (Quintrell Downs). Whether you're looking to relax by the sea, explore the buzzing bars in the town centre, or get out and about in Cornwall, you'll find us a great place to start. And if you're here for work, we're just a stone's throw from key business destinations like St Columb Industrial Estate. Be king of the jungle at the Eden Project, or let out your wild side at Newquay Zoo. Discover a fun-filled day out at Crealy's Adventure Park. Hit the beach and catch some world-class waves, then see how the pros do it at the Boardmasters Festival in August. After a busy day, head back for a bite to eat in our tasty restaurant and a great night's sleep in your extra-comfy bed.
The room is large, the bathroom is clean and cleaned in time. The most important thing is that the location is super good. It is next to the train station and the bus station. Other hotels have to take two steps. This is simply to go out and turn left. It is highly recommended and not far from the beach. Watch the stars at night. Get up early to watch the sunrise. You can also watch the stars in the morning when it is not bright. It is beautiful.

MMallu Couple TravellersDuring our three-day stay at The St Ives Bay Hotel, we had a memorable and relaxing experience as a couple. Our beach-view room was an absolute delight, offering stunning vistas of the ocean right from our window. The gentle sounds of the waves crashing on the shore were incredibly soothing, making every morning and evening special.
The room itself was spacious, providing more than enough room to unwind and truly feel at ease. We appreciated the hotel’s accessibility, with both bus and train services conveniently close by, making it easy for us to explore the charming town of St Ives and its beautiful surroundings. This convenience added an extra layer of ease to our holiday.
On top of everything, the hotel’s rates were budget-friendly, offering excellent value for such a great location and amenities. For couples seeking a comfortable and scenic getaway, The St Ives Bay Hotel is a wonderful option that doesn’t break the bank. We’d love to return!
GGuest UserGreat little B&B pub our room not to big but had everything in side very clean breakfast excellent but don’t forget to stay for the evening meal lots of great locals in the pub made us feel very welcome, owner always on hand if needed , definitely would stay again

GGuest UserA lovely welcome as we were greeted at the Bar by Tommy and shown to our room. We went back to the bar and had a drink. The bar offers a good selection of beer lager and wines.
The room was clean and tidy and was great for a short stay. The bed was a double with a mattress that was a little soft for us, however that is because we do have a very firm mattress at home
The staff were very friendly and polite. Unfortunately due to our stay being on Sunday and Monday we could take advantage of the restaurant as it was closed for these two evenings but the menu looked very nice.
We paid for the breakfast for two mornings at £15 per head per day and it was very good. Yoghurt, fruit, warm croissants and cereals were on the table on arrival and then we were offered a choice of cooked breakfast, either a full english, bacon or sausage sandwiches and Scrambled egg with smoked salmon. We had an issue one morning however this was sorted out to our satisfaction.
We would definitely recommend St Tudy Inn for a short stopover.
GGuest UserBreakfast was surprisingly large portions, good cooked quality. Cold buffet was limited. Service was a bit slow. Bed was very comfy. Good to have a window that opened and a fan in the bedroom. Had dinner in the restaurant first night and the chicken was delicious. TV channels in the room were limited depending on the weather. Good option for Penzance as a base then use the bus to get around.
GGuest UserEverything we needed for a weekend break. Loved the names of the apartments, quirky. Plenty of lights and a lovely colour changing mirror in the bathroom. The owner was very helpful. Tea, coffee, sugar and milk provided, along with towels, t-towel, dish cloth, washing up liquid and multi purpose cleaner. Cutlery, plates, dishes and mugs as well as a microwave, toaster, table and chairs. A lovely bathroom and plenty of room/space. Unfortunately we found the mattress not firm enough and not that we watch the television just put it on to wind down before going to bed. You couldn't watch live TV. You needed to log in on Netflix and channels like that to watch anything. That said we had a lovely weekend break

OOlly reviewsThe Farmer’s Arms is a lovely pub with 4 rooms above. We had a twin room for 2 nights and was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately the internet was virtually non existent, which I understand is an issue in the area, but caused difficulties planning. Car park is huge and great location as 5 minutes drive to Harlyn Bay Beach and 10 minutes to Padstow. Highly recommend The Golden Lion for dinner in Padstow and absolutely was a hidden culinary gem 💎
AAlex MayneOutstanding hotel. From start to finish. Staff were friendly and welcoming which after a long journey is the most important. The room was cleaned and well equipped to support your stay. They also supported us when our clothes were wet from the previous day. Food was a highlight here too. Everything was delicious. I’d recommend a visit here. It’s a must as it’s close to Penzance but quiet at the same time. You’ll need a car to drive here.
Tthe_wonkIt was excellent. A lot of unreasonable bad reviews about this place but the cleaniness was fine, facilities more than adequate, and the staff was friendly. The on-site restaurant was excellent as well, again great staff, and the food produced looked like the chef took it seriously too. i.e. homemade tartar sauce, homemade sweet chilli sauce, fresh battered fish. Good beer selection on draught too.
