Echarm Hotel (Xiamen Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street)

After entering the store, the lady at the front desk was very enthusiastic and patient. She didn't feel exclusive at all. She reminded us in time of the boarding time for the Gulangyu scenic spot and the closest pier to disembarkation. The most heartwarming thing was that the weather in Xiamen is now cold in the morning and evening, and she reminded us to bring coats, which was great. It is very convenient to travel. You can take a taxi downstairs at any time. The bus and subway are very close. The room is also very clean. It is worth recommending.

非常非常好的经验!衷心感谢! Staying in this hotel made our visit to the World Heritage Site of Wuyishan so much more fulfilling. 1. The room was very clean, well-designed and well-equipped. There was an array of snacks, fruits and Dahongpao tea. A hearty breakfast was also provided. 2. The service was impeccable. The pleasant, young and energetic household manager provided service as guests have a personal butler. 3. From the roof top, guests get a panoramic view of the Wuyishan mountains. 4. The must-watch Impression Dahongpao is just a short walk away. This hotel is ideally located for visitors who come to Wuyishan to see the show. (In my humble opinion, it would be such a great waste if one visits Wuyishan without watching Impression Dahongpao.) The hotel management team got us the best seats available for the section we selected and at a better price than those offered online. 5. The bus stop where we took the bus to the entrance of the Wuyishan Scenic Area is within walking distance. If one prefers to hail a ride (Didi) there, it costs about 6 yuan. In the opposite direction from the hotel, the tea streets are about the same distance away. If one does not want to go to town to eat, there are also a variety of restaurants and food stalls in the vicinity of Impression Dahongpao. 6. We stayed 3 nights at the hotel and we think we did well in our planning. We wanted to experience the scenic tram ride from Nanping High Speed Rail Station to Wuyishan and by the time we arrived at the hotel, it was in the afternoon. We went up the rooftop to appreciate the view and prep ourselves for the visit to the huge park. Early the next morning, we went to the park after breakfast. We wanted to do the bamboo rafting and visit the 6 ancient Dahongpao trees/shrubs on the first day. Viewing the trees made it more meaningful when we watched Impression Dahongpao on the second evening. On the third day we climbed up to the peak of Wuyishan. Without the pressure of time, the climb was done more safely. The views along the path up and from the top were spectacular. In the late afternoon/evening, we visited the town and walked the tea streets. 7. We got a pleasant gift upon check-out on the fourth day.
Quanzhou Zhixing Wujie Homestay

West Street/Kaiyuan Temple
The environment of the homestay is very comfortable. The reception auntie was very good (we didn't bring a power bank, so the auntie directly brought one to our room and replaced it at any time if it ran out of power). The breakfast was also very rich and you could take it to the yard to eat. It was very comfortable. The auntie was also very enthusiastic and would accompany us to buy local specialties. The experience was really great

Room space is big enough for a good stay. Window sound proofing can be improved. Pedestrian street is just next to it. Please do not take the taxi waiting in front of the hotel. They are not sincere and will trick you into going to other lowly rated places of interest and their objective is take you to duty free and pearl shop. Ignore them and walk further down the road for taxi not far away.
Longyan Yuru Dongchang Building Tulou Art Home Stay

This hotel is located in a very friendly, small village. We stayed three nights and freely walked the village and the Tulous often being stopped by curious villagers to ask us where we are from. It’s clear foreigners are few and far between in this village but everyone was very welcoming. We have no complaints about the cleanliness, location or breakfast. The rooms and hotel itself are beautiful. If you are a light sleeper (like my friend) the babies crying in the next room or the child and father laughing and chatting in the other room till gone midnight might bother you. If you’re a deep sleeper like me, you’ll be fine! The hotel staff didn’t really offer much information to us initially. You’re kind of left to it. But when I added them to wechat they did answer questions we had and they cleaned the room when asked. For future reference here’s some information for foreigners who make make the journey. We found two good restaurants in the village and there are small shops with basic necessities. You can arrange a car to take you to different Tulous driving distance away or you could just walk through the village and into neighbouring villages exploring the more authentic Tulous. To be honest, the “tourist” Tulous weren’t of much interest and didn’t take a single photo. The more authentic, natural, “left to their own devices” ones were much more appealing to us. You can’t get the typical shot from a hilltop of a small group of round Tulous here in this village but you can get so much more of an authentic small, relaxing, quiet village experience at your own pace. We had a driver from Xiamen airport - 3.5 hours there because he didn’t take the highway but the provincial road. On the way back to the airport we came via the highway and it was 2 hours. It’s quite far away but we think it’s very worth it if you go prepared. We would definitely stay in this hotel again. We booked this hotel, therefore the location based on the look of comfort and the fact we wanted traditional, with modern amenities so we could relax as well as explore. It ticked all those boxes.
Golden Sands Gulf Hotel

This hotel was priced above average considering the time of year and the neighboring hotels. I cannot say that my stay was very good here because of a few things. When I checked in the procedure for passport and everything was completed. They had to do the process again later that night. The water did go out while I stayed there but they fixed it within 20 minutes. The neighboring hotel and beach were doing construction, so I had lots of noise going on out my window early in the morning. The location is good because it’s close to the beach, however the dining advertised is at the hotel next to it. I did ask the Trip.com app to update the information for the hotel because the breakfast included was not what they would typically serve because they confirmed it depended on the number of guests. I could not eat the food that they offered me and they were not willing to adjust the price. trip.com offered me trip coins, however my overall stay here was disappointing because even the car gate was having delays. There were things such as maybe teabags or cotton swabs that I asked to have in the room, but none of those are offered. The view is very nice. The cleaning staff is very friendly. However their breakfast area was just an empty banquet room with empty shaving dishes and they had a family temporally making plates of whatever they decided. I definitely think this hotel needs to have some love and attention, especially considering that the neighboring hotels are upgrading their properties. I feel that the rates should’ve been lower considering all of the construction in the walkways behind the hotel. I honestly have no clue have dinner was available or not. I saw a total of three staff members there and then the family of three making the place of breakfast in the two days. The price of the hotel changed by 200 yuan in Trip.com in less than 12 hours on the day that I reserved. Only difference was that breakfast was not included.

Shili Mingyue Resort Hotel

The hotel is located at the top of the mountain, it's perfectly nice location. The service staff’s attitude is truly amazing and helpful especially the front desk who is very accommodating to our requests, restaurant staffs were very attentive and friendly, great food, not so expensive and the room is very clean, nice & tidy. There is also a park area in front of the hotel. This place is overlooking Zhangzhou and the other side is Xiamen. During the night time, we stayed at the terrace, drink some wine while staring at the beautiful view. Unfortunately, we’ve missed the sunset as it’s too late when we come back to the hotel. We also wake up very early and watch the beautiful sunrise in the morning at the back of the hotel. Also, there are free drinks available in the room and we got sweet soup and fresh fruits available after we come back from our tour. This is a good place to stay, far away from hustle and bustle of the city. It's 4 km to the famous Ten Miles Blue Mountain and it’s overlooking from the hotel. The hotel even sent us to this place by their service van and offered to pick us up back to the hotel which is well appreciated. After we check out, we thought it's easy to get a Didi but ended the hotel offered their service van again to bring us down the mountain to get Didi easily. It’s better to have your own car for your own convenience travelling around this area. We can’t say enough good things about moonlight resort and will surely give them two thumbs up for their amazing service, it was all so great stay! Definitely this hotel is highly recommended, we booked 2 rooms Elegant & Privilege Queen Room it's worth the trip. We hope to come back again next time.
MingZhushanfang

South Entrance of the Scenic Area/Nanyuanling
We were delighted to have found and stayed at this property. Minzhushanfang is a very new bed-and-breakfast accommodation with a minimalist, calming, zen-style architecture befitting of the Wuyishan area. The rooms are similarly designed along the same minimalist, zen concept and are true to the property photos published on the booking platform. We deliberately chose an accommodation away from the hustle and bustle of town and so, found the location of Mingzhushanfang excellent. Located directly across from the entrance of the Wuyishan scenic area, it was very convenient accessing the park while being peaceful and tranquil. Do note that with its location being away from town centre, dining options at or near the property aren't many, so having dinner near town, prior to heading back to the hotel at night is strongly recommended. The room we booked has a peaceful stream view, and looks remotely across towards the Dawangfeng peak. Room and facilities are very clean. While it seems smoking is not prohibited in the rooms, we were very thankful we had no issues whatsoever with residual smoke odour. The owners of this property, who are also tea growers and manufacturers, were extremely hospitable. We were always welcomed for candid tea tastings and conversation at the lobby area, They even went out of their way to help us when we got abit lost in town! Their breakfast made by their Ah Yi is wholesome and amazing - with a lot of farm-to-table ingredients freshly harvested from their own vegetable patch. I would love to go back to visit Wuyishan again and will not hestiate to stay at Minzhushanfang again.
